The prompt queue is still closed, but I am making progress! It's still gonna be a couple more weeks, though.
Alas, today I started looking at the prompts too late and I'm just too tired to do one. :( Occasional breaks are necessary! I'll be back at it soon.

just pregnant!Stephen ✨angst✨
The rest of the pregnant!Stephen ficlets can be found here: mpreg drabbles
*
Stephen eases himself into the bath and prays that the warmth and the buoyancy and some classical music playing will relax him and therefore the baby and convince the little parasite to stop somersaulting.
Guilt swamps Stephen at calling their child a parasite, but fuck, there are days when that’s how it feels. Someone else has taken up residence in his body and is fucking with systems that he’d learned and refined and adjusted to a tee.
The first time the baby kicked was joyous. It’s a treasured memory. But tonight, Stephen is relieved when the kid finally quiets down.

Peter parker is Stephen strange biological son.
That's news to Tony.
Anon, I’m afraid you have accidentally run directly into a pet peeve I have about how this particular trope is sometimes handled and, more generally, about how a lot of people place a ridiculous amount of importance on biological relationships. You may have had (and likely did have!) ideas for this prompt that go a totally different direction, but the pet peeves demanded this response, so here we go.
*
Tony and Stephen are having breakfast together in the Sanctum when Peter pokes his head in the kitchen door. “Hey, Doctor Strange?” he says, a little nervously. “I, uh, need a favor, but it can wait if you’re busy.” He glances at Tony.
“Now is fine, Peter,” Stephen says. “What do you need?”
“It’s just information but, uh, you might consider it… private? information.” Peter glances at Tony again.
Tony glances from Peter to Stephen and back. He’s definitely missing something here.
“It’s alright, Peter,” Stephen says. “I don’t mind if Tony knows. It just hasn’t come up yet.”
Peter’s whole face relaxes in relief. “Okay, cool! I wanted to ask if you could tell me about your medical history? Mom hardly remembered anything about you, and especially now with the spider powers, I feel like more information is probably a good thing.”
This does not clarify things. “Why do you need Stephen’s medical history for that?” Tony asks.
“Peter is my biological son,” Stephen says calmly, and sips his tea.
Tony stares. “You’re his dad? And you never thought to mention this?”
“Uh, Mister Stark?” Peter interrupts with an upraised finder. “My dad was Richard Parker. And maybe kind of Uncle Ben, although I never called him that. Doctor Strange is… he’s like…” Peter’s face screwed up in frustration.
“Like a sperm donor,” Stephen suggested. “Although mediated by alcohol and a one night stand, rather than a sperm bank,” he said dryly.
Peter winces. “Please don’t mention the one night stand. That was my mom.”
“I don’t understand how you two are so calm about this,” Tony said. “This is—”
“A medical detail,” Stephen said firmly. “Look, Peter found me a little more than a year ago, not long before my accident. He had questions, but he wasn’t looking for a parent, and I wasn’t looking for a child. Family is about taking care of each other, not about genetics.”
Tony still feels a little at sea, but Peter is nodding along. Then he gets a thoughtful look on his face. “Although, there’s some taking care going on now, I guess?” He shrugs. “Who knows how things will go? But that’s a totally separate thing.”
“Who knows,” Tony repeats, but he’s thinking, now, about families being something you can build instead of something you’re stuck with.

are you flirting with me?
ironstrange 😇
“Nice moves, doc,” Tony says. He packs as much innuendo into the phrase as he can given the distortion of the armor’s voice transmitter, the occasional blast and clang from the rest of the Avengers’ battle, and the fact that he and Stephen are playing goalie with spiky purple somethings that keep bouncing away from the battle and toward the general public.
Stephen deflects another three somethings with a shield and turns an incredulous gaze on Tony. “Are you flirting with me? Now?”
“Yes!” Tony exclaims, relieved. This wasn’t exactly the reaction he was going for, but at least it got through. “Thank you for finally noticing.” He blasted a series of somethings.
“It might have gone a little smoother if you’d tried at some time other than during a battle,” Stephen says dryly.
“Come on, Merlin, when else do we see each other?”
“You know where I live.”
Pointing out the sheer creepiness of the Sanctum probably isn’t going to work in Tony’s favor right now. “The point of the flirting is to determine if you want me in your personal spaces,” Tony says instead. “So? What’s the verdict?”
Stephen looks distinctly thoughtful even as the two of them deal with another wave of somethings. “Points for persistence,” he says eventually. “Good enough for dinner.”
“Give me a dinner, I’ll take a mile,” Tony says cheerfully.
“That’s not supposed to be a good thing!” Stephen protests, but he’s laughing.
Tony’s got a good feeling about this.

Oh my god I just wanna say that the ficlet you make about Stephen remembering a different timeline completely broke me... I think it'll stuck in my head for days.. and yes I'm typing this while still crying from reading your ficlet..
Thank you so much! I love that I was able to evoke that much emotion. I admit I wondered if I'd leaned too far into the comfort/coping side of the scene than the prompt was looking for, but I guess not! LOL.

little habits
Can we have a part 2 for this?
Stephen smiles when he sees that Tony’s made himself a cappuccino. They hadn’t planned to hang out today, but the Sanctum had been full of students and discordant energy, and it grated on Stephen’s nerves. When he complained by text, Tony had offered a respite.
As he sits, Tony holds out a second mug to Stephen. He’s about to protest when the fragrant smell of his favorite tea reaches him.
“If you give it 45 more seconds,” Tony says, “it’ll have steeped for exactly three minutes.”
Stephen’s heart warms: Tony has remembered, just the same as Stephen does for him.

Stephen having one of his dissociative days when he's been on a different dimension and then coming back and saw a date. The date that Tony's dead but it was actually one of the timelines that he saw so when Tony comes to greet him he went all devastated and full of grief, thinking that he's hallucinating, imagining Tony is still there
Stephen is dressed in sweats, wrapped in the Cloak, sitting in front of a fire, and drinking hot chocolate when he looks up and sees Tony Stark. His heart falls and grief lances through him. He thought he’d been coping reasonably well, that all the self-soothing was more-or-less working, but if he’s hallucinating, then it’s really not working at all.
Closing his eyes, he bows his head and murmurs, “It’s November 27th, you’re in the Sanctum Sanctorum—”
The couch dips next to him. “Look up Ackermann steering geometry on your phone.”
“What?” Stephen’s eyes open despite himself.
“Patented by Rudolph Ackermann in 1818, though he didn’t actually invent it.” Tony says. “It’s something you wouldn’t know, so the answer can’t come from your own mind, which means I must be real.”
Stephen shakily taps it into a search. When the article summary pops up, tears spring to his eyes and he slumps sideways into Tony, who wraps a gentle arm around him. “Look at you, getting teary over mechanical engineering,” Tony teases. “A man after my own heart.”
Stephen just laughs wetly.

Slightly domestic ironstrange even through all their hectic life and schedules plus America being a little shit. They weren't expected a gathering of them both each weekdays making America absorb Peter's pranks. Even if Peter isn't in the Sanctum or Kamar-Taj they still couldn't get a peaceful day when America is there
This is probably not exactly what you were looking for, but prompts are prompts and this is what my brain spat out in response to this one. America is a child here because that’s where my brain went.
-
“Uncle Rhodey!” America shouts, and runs through the portal, plastering herself to his legs and raising her arms to throw them around his waist.
“Hey, kiddo,” Rhodey chuckles, tousling her hair. He looks up at Tony and Stephen. “I’ve got this,” he reassures them. Then, with a smirk, “You two enjoy your adult time.”
Tony chuckles and waggles his eyebrows. “Oh, we will.”
They chorus goodbye to America and Stephen closes the portal with a wave and a woosh.
The silence in the penthouse just about echoes. Stephen casts a hopeful look at Tony. “Sleep?”
“Sleep,” Tony confirms, sighing happily.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💗
Thank you! :D It was kind of fun to sit down and think about my personal favourites.
One Time No One Thought Tony and Stephen's Marriage Would Work and Five Times They Were Wrong (Tony Stark/Stephen Strange, MCU) A big giant excuse for fluff. It was a lovely writing experience.
This one is non-con: As Much As You Want Me To (Tony Stark/Stephen Strange, MCU) If non-con (that they both enjoy but that is very much non-con, not roleplaying) is not your cup of tea, then this fic is not for you. But personally, I think it's hot as fuck and I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Everyone But You (Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinksi, Teen Wolf) This one is a short one. I got an idea for a giant, epic time travel fix it, but I did not have the emotional energy at the time to write an epic fic. I loved the idea, so I found a way to condense it into the concentrated essence of what I liked about the idea, and I'm very pleased with the result.
Relief (Clint Barton/Phil Coulson, 616/MCU crossover) One of my longer fics. Still proud of the relationship building in this one.
Five People Who Flinched From Phil and the One Person Who Never Did (Clint Barton/Phil Coulson, MCU) This is an "everyone is telepathic" AU and a blatant excuse for a made for each other trope. Some of my favourite world building here.
I was *so tempted* to list more of my C/C work--going through my works reminded me how proud I am of a lot of those stories--but they are not very relevant to my current interests, so I resisted.

IronStrange community poll
Okay, so I received an invitation to the Tumblr Communities beta. It's a few days old (I've been pondering), but assuming I haven't missed the opportunity, I've been debating whether or not to use it to make an IronStrange community (assuming it is approved by the devs).
Considerations:
I do have experience running communities like this; I have done it many times before.
I do not have a whole lot of energy these days. I'm not sure how much I can put into modding a comm.
But at least if I made it myself, I know I would like the way it is run. *wry*
I do not know if any other IronStrange folk have received an invite, and I would like for such a community to exist.
Energy and the lack of it. Yes, this is on here twice.
With that in mind, a non-binding poll!

I'm a sucker for married ironstrange but make it ✨heavy angst✨ but not major character death bcuz we love a happy ending 🤌
I do not know if this angst is heavy enough, Anon, but I did my best! Angst is not my forte, but when I do it I try hard to do it well.
Angst this heavy does not get resolved within the same drabble that set it up. If folks want a follow up, you shall have to pin this one for when prompts re-open. [/evil]

When Stephen disappears after the accident, it takes Tony three months to track him down.
By the time he arrives in Kathmandu and bullies his way past the monk who answers the unassuming little door, he’s furious. Between his resources and his hacking skills, no one disappears that completely from his radar unless it's intentional. Which means that Stephen isn’t dead, or hurt (again), he’s hiding.
Storming into the building’s courtyard, Tony quickly spots Stephen among the red robed apprentices, goatee or no goatee. Tony ignores the murmurs of recognition and the grumbles at the invasion and walks straight up to Stephen, planting himself in front of his husband and crossing his arms.
Stephen has the gall to look surprised. “Tony—”
“If you had to leave me,” Tony snaps, “you should at last have had the balls to tell me to my fucking face instead of disappearing.”
Stephen recoils. “I didn’t—”
“Didn’t what?” Tony cuts him off. “Vanish into thin air? Intentionally prevent me from finding you? Break half a dozen fucking promises?”
“I didn’t break any promises!” Stephen snaps back.
Tony holds up a finger. “Never leave an argument to fester for more than a day.” A second finger. “In sickness and in health.” A third finger. “Always give me one chance to try to help you.” Stephen has blanched now. It doesn’t make Tony feel any better. “I could keep going,” he says, “but I’ll just end with the most important one of all, the very first promise you made to me. You promised that if you ever decided you didn’t want to be with me any more, you wouldn’t jerk me around.”
Stephen swallows hard. When he speaks, it’s quiet. “I didn’t break that one.”
“Then what do you call your goddamned vanishing act!” Tony shouts.
“The promise was if I didn’t want to be with you any more,” Stephen says. “That condition hasn’t been fulfilled.”
Some of the anger drains out of Tony. Some, but not all. “I did the work of tracking you down. You want to save your marriage, you get to figure out how.”
He stalks out of the courtyard.
No one stops him.

Idk if you'll make this but here's it
Stephen having an awful relationship w this guy resulting them constantly argue at the end parted ways. Tony on the other hand has been his rock, advising and supporting every Stephen's decision. Stephen at the end finally realised that he picked the wrong guy to lay down and take care of his daughter (it's America) so at the end they finally confesses (could be AU)
This is too long for a prompt, so we’re going to call 90% of it backstory and you get the confession at the end.
Patrick is an OC, if there’s an MCU character by that name I’ve just forgotten them.
-
Stephen is barely conscious when he finally makes it to Tony’s penthouse. America is sleeping against his shoulder, tiny thumb firmly planted in her mouth and small body lax against him. He’s been trying to curb the thumb sucking, but after today he doesn’t have the heart to stop her.
Tony meets him at the elevator and holds out his arms. Stephen passes America over gratefully; he’d kept hold of her through sheer force of will.
While Tony settles her in the guest room, Stephen slumps onto the couch. He lets his head fall back, eyes closed. A minute later, Tony’s weight settles onto the cushion next to him. “Thank you,” Stephen says quietly. He couldn’t have gotten through this without Tony.
“Hey, I’d do anything for you two, you know that.”
It’s not a new sentiment, but tonight it rings differently. Stephen turns his head and opens his eyes. Tony is watching him with a warm smile. It’s not at all the expression you’d expect from a friend who’s just dumped himself and his toddler on you with no warning. Sympathy? Sure. Relief, maybe, that he’d gotten out of a bad situation? Maybe. But this tenderness? That was something more.
Over the last two months, Tony has given Stephen and America everything that Patrick never did. Tony… Tony makes Stephen feel like it’s worth trying again.
He reaches out and takes Tony’s hand. “I love you.”
Tony lights up, but what he says is, “I don’t expect—”
“Stop trying to be noble,” Stephen interrupts, “and just tell me you love me, too.”
Tony laughs and lifts Stephen’s hand to his lips. “I love you, too.”

I love all the prompts my followers send, but we have reached the point where I'm receiving them faster than I can write them! I am, therefore, closing prompts until I get the pile currently in hand under control.
Oldest prompt is currently from April 2, newest is from today (April 21).
I won't be closing my Ask box so that people can still message me, but any prompts received from now until I re-open for them will be answered privately (if not Anonymous) or deleted (if Anonymous).
The pinned post will be updated when prompts re-open.
