I’ve been kinda annoyed that they haven’t really shown him hugging her back, like the arch you can’t tell and the reunion hug at camp you can barely see his arm around her for 0.2 seconds, but I feel like they might be purposefully holding back.

Imagine the first time we actually see Percy hugging Annabeth is at the bottom of Siren bay when he’s terrified because he almost lost her and he’s holding her and they’re clinging to each other and she’s SOBBING the absolute cinema I NEED IT

Yes the scene of Percy sitting in a fountain head bowed hands on his knees just accepting like ‘yep this is what’s happening’ while Grover and Annabeth mercilessly splash wave after wave of water in his face is objectively hilarious but rewatching it’s also kinda devastating

Annabeth is SO concerned for Percy that she is desperate for this ridiculous plan to work “It worked at camp it should cure the poison too right?!?” while she’s just furiously splashing him And when he says he thinks it’s helping she gets such a hopeful look on her face it breaks my heart

she just wants him to be okay :(

It doesn’t matter how many times I watch it the “girls are funny about baths” line will never not be funny

Primarily because it’s just Lockwood having peak teen boy ‘ah, the mysteries of women’ energy but also because of the vague undercurrent of him being like ‘what Lucy does in the bath is none of my concern.’

Another one of those moments is during the interview when he was trying to brag about his first case but she’s disturbed and instantly shuts him down saying “no, and I don’t think I want to [know about it] thanks very much.” And he IMMEDIATELY pivots to “That’s very sensible. Nasty bit of business.” Like shit, she wasn’t impressed, abort.

Anthony Lockwood is the most dramatic mf to ever exist and I love him so much for it.

They blow up the well in Combe Carey and he’s all *cough cough* "Lucy..." *using what he is making out to be his dying breath.* "Lucy" *laboured breathing* *grasps for her hand* and he's literally not even injured.

Then after he gets shot he’s all *dramatically collapses into her arms* "Woe is me! I'm finished! Done for! Cuput!" *lays in Lucy's lap and lets her tenderly stroke his face while he fakes unconsciousness* then is up, walking around and laughing like ~minutes~ later.

Lockwood (probably): “If I exaggerate my injuries Lucy will give me attention? Say less.”

Something about Jacobs telling Lucy “We don’t make decisions based on feelings. Do your job.” Totally dismissing her

Vs Lockwood, who saw how shaken she was and told her “If you don’t feel steady we should just go home now.”

Taking it upon himself to offer that they leave. Because he actually values her opinions, trusts her judgement, and cares about her well-being over anything else.

Is so special to me.
