I am for you
The night was so dark. Not a moon or stars can be seen at that night. Its so dark, as dark a night could get. And the night is rather chilly.
Hyungwon tossed in his bed. The coldness of the night crept into his skin, making him dig deeper in his bed, under his warm duvet. For a second, his steady breathing is the only sound echoing the large room. It was like he was fast asleep. Afterall, it was what he should do, but he can’t.
Not when there is no Minhyuk by his side.
Hyungwon let a heavy sigh. The clock at the bedside ticks 3:38 a.m with its red blazing color. He grab his phone. Before he could dial the certain someone’s phone number, he could hear the room’s door creak open. The door creak softly and Hyungwon instantly know how much effort the person behind the door had to put to make the door barely let any sound escape as he himself know the door’s age dosen’t let anyone pass it without attemping to rip off.
“Why aren’t you sleep yet?”
Hyungwon close his eyes, letting himself be warped with the sooting voice before answering the question.
“I can’t sleep. It’s too cold.”
Minhyuk came closer to the bed and fall on his knee just to came face to face with red faced Hyungwon. He gently touch the latter’s forehead and cup his cheeks before pressed his backhand to his lover’s throat.
“I think you still have slight fever despite it’s cooling down at most. Do you need any medicine? Should I be making soup?”
There is slight scared tone along with mostly worry tone all over Minhyuk’s voice. That, of course didn’t go unnoticed by Hyungwon.
Hyungwon tries to speak but his throat suddenly felt dry. Minhyuk gushed out from the room to get him a bottle of mineral water. Once he helped Hyungwon to a comfortable sitting position, he place the bottle head on his lower lips and tilt the bottle for easy access.
After his throat felt good enough, he signed Minhyuk to stop. Minhyuk place the bottle on the side table.
Hyungwon grip Minhyuk’s arm loosely but firm enough for the latter to know that he wanted him to stay.
“Stay.” Hyungwon’s voice came crack and slow as a whisper but it was all but clear enough for Minhyuk.
Minhyuk walks to the other side of the bed and slowly slip under the duvet. Instantly, Hyungwon’s hand came circling his waist under the duvet and bring their body closer, sharing the heat.
Hyungwon looks so pale and thin. He looks so pure and delicate. Knowing Hyungwon, Minhyuk won't hesitate to say that he’s the most fragile person Minhyuk ever encounter, making him sought over as the person he wanted to protect the most.
For a while, Minhyuk can feels that Hyungwon’s hug tightens as his fingers cluctch his shirt from behind and trembles. He whisper a soft “Don’t leave me” and repeat it all over with tears rolling down, stains Minhyuk’s shirt as his face buried against the latter’s chest.
Minhyuk’s heart clench at the sight and that moment, he had make promise with himself, a vow that he’ll never ever break it, that he’ll stay. Stay by Hyungwon’s side, as long as he wanted him to.
Minhyuk rubbing soothing patterns against Hyungwon’s backside while kissing his crown head.
“I’ll never leave. I’m created to be by your side. I am for you.”
