Been seeing this around and wanted to share it here as well.

The spell is all set!
The construction is the same as the previous kerchief charm, with modified components:
Red Curlique Fabric
Gold Felt (cut into lightning bolt)
3 pinches Ginger powder
3 pinches Peppermint
3 pinches Black Tea
Needle and thread
This one took me a while to figure out. At first I thought it was going to be a compassion/serenity spell, but after talking more with the recipient, I decided on love/energy, to help her tackle what life has been throwing her way. She'll be receiving it tonight, and I'm really happy to both see her and hopefully help her through this rough patch.

This week I'll be making another kerchief charm.
This one is for a loved one who's been overwhelmed lately, so the focus is going to be calm and compassion. Like last time the first step is to choose my components, starting with fabric.

Rest Charm
Components:
1'x6" rectangle of nighttime fabric
3" circle of yellow or blue felt
1/2 Tb Dried Vervain
1/2 Tb Dried Chamomile
1/2 Tb Died Lavender
Needle
Thread
Scissors
This handkerchief is a charm that goes under your pillow to encourage a good night's rest.
First, fold your fabric into a square, making sure to tuck in the edges. Then, sew it closed, stopping with half of one side open.
Put your dried herbs into the pocket, and sew the rest of the way closed.
Shake the herbs into the center, and put into an embroidery hoop.
Cut the felt into a crescent moon, and stitch down onto the kerchief, trying to trap as much of the herb mixture under it as possible.
When finished, keep under your pillow

Odinsday Offering 5-22
Today's gift to the All-Father is hot, fresh coffee with a bit of maple sugar.
The house spirits are getting something a bit more traditional: bread and milk. The bread is a chocolate chip roll, to add sweetness.

My friend and I have been having sleep troubles, so it's time for A Project
The idea is similar to the Sleep Guardian I made for Max a number of years ago.
I'll be making a small herb sachet and sewing it into a handkerchief with a specific design. I'm consulting my old recipe and tweaking it to fit our current need, as well as sorting through all my starry sky fabrics (there's a lot).
This one will take a while, so expect a final product post this Friday.

Health Update
I know I haven't been posting much this past couple of weeks, and I'm sorry for that. I took a planned week off to gear up for a reenactment event, and then got slammed with a chest infection right after.
I'm finally well enough to talk and stay awake for longer than 3 hours at a time, so regular updates should be resuming.
For newcomers, that means Monday, Wednesday, and Friday there will be something new on this blog, so please come back and check it out.
If you like what I'm doing here and want to help, please consider setting up a donation at my Ko-fi.
In light of my recent health issues, today's recipe is my family's best cold remedy:
Sick Soup
Ingredients:
6 cups Homemade Stock
1 Tb Ginger Paste
1Tb Garlic Paste
1 Tb Chili Paste
1Tb Honey
1/2 Fresh Lemon Juice
Drink 2 cups at a time while hot to help clear you up. If you have any brightly colored phlem with your cold, see a medical doctor

Bindrune
Today I enchanted my re-enactment group’s new tavern tent. I did this by creating a bindrune to put on the bottom of the poles. I combined Berkano (protection of domicile) and Elhaz (protection and victory) to create the symbol shown below.

Prosperity Pudding
Components:
1/3 c Cooked Rice
1 c Almond Milk
1 Egg
3 Tb Brown Sugar
1 pinch Nutmeg
1 pinch Salt
1 splash Vanilla Extract
1 dash Cinnamon
1 handful Blackberries
1 pat Butter
Mix together spices, rice, and milk in a small saucepan. Cover and set to medium-low heat
In a separate bowl, lightly whisk the egg. When the milk mixture is bubbling, mix a small amount into the egg, and then add the mixture to the pan.
Keep at a low boil, stirring occasionally until the mixture is mostly absorbed, and the texture is creamy.
When rice is done, put into a bowl and add a pat of butter, extra sugar to taste, and blackberries. Strawberries are shown in the picture because they’re what I had on hand.
Each of the listed ingredients is associated with financial prosperity, and together make for a warm and filling single person breakfast
