I like it- he’s loosely based on a white lipped python (they have iridescent scales! Pretty) but he’s probably not as big as one (they’re like. 6-9 feet long as adults djdjjdjd) because that causes issues djdjdjsj anyways have some doodles whilst I figure out how to draw snakes

Honestly a Coraline au could happen in an ingame universe. Subcon is weird enough to have a horrible child trapping beast in it. I mean. Besides Snatcher.

Second of all: what was the florist like while she was alive? Did she and the prince/Vanessa know each other in any capacity, like were they tight? Or is this a(n objectively devastating but narratively hilarious) case of this poor customer service worker doing her job and serving a dude some flowers and literally got murdered over it (along with everyone she knows)? Bc if so then OOF

She knew them in the sense that the royal family regularly ordered flowers from her (dad’s) business (she took over once he got older- he passed away before the whole ice fiasco) and she had a hand full of interactions with the Prince.

In short, she knew of both of them, and had opinions as far as politics go, but she really didn’t know either of them personally

Personality wise, she mostly spent time with her dad and working. She’s mostly cheery and calm, but she can get a bit wild if she finds someone she really meshes with.

#as she died freezing to death inside of her house :> managed to get inside just before everything froze over- unfortunately for her she #was locked inside a frozen building and very quickly lost what little fire she had going in the fire place djdjdjjs #anywho yeah she worked with servants of the royal family way more often than vanessa or the prince themselves #a hat in time #starbound #oc #miiiight change it to where her and the prince were kind of childhood friends- but as of the moment they basically did not know each other #does suck a little though cause he went to her specifically because he knows that’s where vanessa’s family gets most of their flowers djjdjd #abyssal-glory #ask

im curious abt starbound; does she have anything to do with moonjumper, narratively speaking? they got that cool sun/moon visual dichotomy (and hes on her shit list so) :0

Currently speaking, they mostly just serve as opposites to each other- Moon is very physically cold to touch (I’m gonna say djsjsjsj) and she’s very physically hot to touch (trying to figure out if it would burn to touch her. Right now I’m leaning towards yes? Think I might give her some gloves for her plants.)

She’s free to wander around the forest (possibly limited to the warmer parts of it?) while Moon is stuck in the horizon (I could see there being weird moon phase shenanigans, like on full moons Moonjumper can physically wander around the forest while Starbound maybe is limited to literal fires, or something like that?)

It’s all pretty up in the air right now djdjdjjd, I wanna say the reason she even exists is cause at like. 2am a while back I was thinking about the florist and being a spirit and pretty quickly came to her being the sun because Moon is, well, a moon.)

As far as Moon being on her shit list goes, it’s mostly because 1, she recognizes him as the Prince (she definitely blames the royalty for what happened to Subcon), and 2, because it’s Subcon and everyone there is at least a little bit manipulative/evil-y (Moon being no acceptation to that rule) and he is definitely part of the ongoing turf war between himself, Snatcher, and Vanessa. (Starbound is mostly concerned about keeping her own chunk of the forest, she doesn’t really care about taking all of it for herself or anything)

So currently speaking, not yet! I would like to have something narrative between them though, cause it would be a little weird to have a sun and moon character not interact/have anything really going on between them? (Maybe it could just be something as simple as the way their magic interacts??)

#worth mentioning that she recognizes snatcher as the Prince as well (mostly by mannerisms and how he talks) although it did take much longer #for her to come to that conclusion with snatcher- she has no idea why there’s two of him running around now but she doesn’t like either of #them djdjdjdjjd #also I’m thinking she’s the one who makes the firewalls (maybe summons the fire spirits?) that snatcher has hk and bj destroy #I definitely like the idea of her being able to pass through them- and I could see Snatcher picking fights with her over that #(bonus points because if he doesn’t recognizes her?) #starbound #oc #AHiT #Moonjumper #anon #ask
