At this point I'll start being rude to people and I don't care. Some of you need to learn how to read I guess because when a writer that takes requests on here asks you to check their pinned post before requesting YOU SHOULD DO THAT. I am tired of getting requests for characters I don't write and won't ever write all because 3/4 of the people who request don't check my fucking pinned. From this point on, as soon as I see requests that haven't checked my pinned, I'll just straight up delete them, I won't even answer them
(This is about my main blog)

Maturing is realising that fangirling over the characters I've created is weird because they're messed up people who make horrible decisions and if they were real I'd lock them up in a prison cell right away. And this includes every single one of my characters

I love badass female characters, I really do but... can we slightly bring back more female characters that enjoy their "feminine" side as well? Like, not everything has to be sword fighting, hunting, battling or whatever (sorry only fantasy tropes came to mind rn). FemLe characters can be badass and still enjoy things like makeup or dressing up and such

Can yall just chill with the tagging games and the asks where you just send your love or whatever? I know it's not possible to know how someone feels and all that so maybe just ask before sending sweet messages saying that you appreciate me and all. It makes me feel uncomfortable and cringe because I don't know you at all. And before you come for me, I know you're trying to be kind and supportive but personally I don't want it.

I'm all for supporting the writings of others (or whichever form of art you create) but I feel so odd and almost uncomfortable when I receive comments of support when it comes to my writings. That is also why I deleted every single post that contained scenes of my wips. At first I was happy, showing people what I like as a hobby (because that's what it is and I don't want it to progress any further than that) but now I feel uncomfortable even hearing that my writing is good. I don't know if anyone feels that way but yeah

As if Colleen Hoover books and other booktok suggestions being on the SAME shelves with literal masterpieces wasn't enough, now we have people asking whether mf Crime and Punishment has any spice.
NO CAROL IT DOESN'T, GO READ SJM IF YOU WANT JUST THAT

If I hear one more person ask about the spice level of a classical literature book, I will literally go insane

I think people don't really understand how important feedback is. Not only on a "It helps correct potential mistakes" way but in a "it's important to the creator" way. I can't speak when it comes to drawings, paintings and things like that but I can speak when it comes to writing. Whenever I receive feedback for whatever I've written it makes me feel so nice about myself knowing that people enjoy a part of myself so please, if you can, give feedback to writers and creators!

I've seen a couple of people on tiktok talking about the importance of a likeable main character. After putting a lot of thought to it, I've realised that there are two types of 'unlikeable main character'
Type 1: the author has made them unlikeable and it serves as a plot device
Type 2: some of the readers just don't like them
Not every character can appeal to everyone's interests, I know for a fact I dislike a few characters that are adored by many. But I can't say every main character has to be likeable

Editing a book can be so boring. Especially when you're editing the first draft, like why am I writing so bluntly and with no flavour? Why are the dialogues the only pleasant thing and why are there so many inconsistencies?

I believe that the love interests in books are a reflection of a writer's perfect love interest. Because look at the love interests from my books: one of them is a filthy rich man who listens to Frank Sinarta as if his life depends on it and the other one is a dude obsessed with horror stories and the macabre.
Have I ever met a dude like the first character? No. But I have met a dude like the second type (two of them to be exact... and both times I had a hard time getting over them)

I write what I don't have.
No, no, I don't mean that I don't have a fantasy world to disappear to so I write about that (which now that I'm thinking about it... it is what I do). What I do mean is that I write about people that I don't have in my life, friends and romantic relationships. I write about character traits that I want to have but aren't able to.
I call it a manifestation because otherwise I'm doomed.
