I hope to create such powerful visceral work like this...Music and art as a means of transport.  As a means of understanding.  As a meeting place of shared souls.

Today was perfection ✔️Left NYC at 6am to spend the day in #theberkshires. Posed for a #normanrockwell painting rendition in #stockbridge , had an awesome planning meeting for the #webdubois mural comeback in #greatbarrington, got to spend time with the homie @jacksonwhalanmusic and ran into the lovely @freyazfly and then moments later her wonderful brother whilst picking up my dad at #skibutternut. Got to wrap my arms around my sis @farmgirlfarm and #ollieboo (we miss you #lenoxboo 🐶) and landed back in midtown just in time to catch my brother @elliottfrancis (who happens to be in town) and our mama for a bite and chats in #koreatownnyc. WRITING SYMPHONY Wherever you play, dwell, fight, or hole up; make sure you write. Open your soul and express the ‘spress out. Dance along the monkey bars of words, rhtyms, and blues. Hopes and dreams sleep within the chords, the moods, the ahhhs. Sing into poetry, unleash the core, make yourself bow for an encore of your whole volition. Call and be saved; saint in the modern day. I have no doubt in you, just hope and holy water, it’s true. The rhyme flow nometry of past hopes actualized and realized. Unborn son of the struggle, emanating His pain in the spiritual and we feel it in the physical. A past baby’s due of unborn truth. I feel the connectedness of it all so I struggle and love to create a genuine piece of peace and love for one and all. I stand and salute the ancestors who vibrate through my bones, breathe through my lips, sing off my nose, laugh on my tongue, and shake my hips to rattle and roll. They crack me open like unborn legs to spill the yolk of truth and past legends retold. A tear for the ones who provoke this prose. A wolf came to me in the night He seemed bad But was looking for good He approached I wasn’t scared Intrigued Unalarmed He didn’t bark or growl Just sniffed around He postured to show he was strong A little impressed, but not enough This wolf roams with a pack But cherishes his solitude Dark and strong A gentle giant But not to be mistaken for soft The wolf came to me again And again And again And again I found him endearing Mysterious Who is this wolf? How does he want me?
