Haley With An Artistic Reader

You had been an artist for a while, even before coming to Pelican Town

When you'd get off work, you'd come home and do something artistic, whether that be painting, drawing, or simply sketching

You didn't want to get rusty

So when you made the move to Stardew Valley, you packed up all your art supplies to take with you

You continued to draw whenever possible

You and Emily hit it off, both of you being creative in your own ways

Being friends with Emily meant hanging at her house

Which meant spending time with Haley too

At first, she seemed superficial and almost rude

But you got to know her more and realized she was more than what she seemed like

She would compliment your drawings/paintings

She offered to let you draw her and so you did

Once you finished and showed her the drawing, she seemed super impressed

She even took the drawing and hung it on her wall in her bedroom

After becoming friends with her you decided to buy the bouquet and make her a drawing

You had learned she loved Sunflowers so you made her a drawing of one, complete with colors and plenty of detail

You presented her with the bouquet and drawing and she nearly jumped in your arms from her excitement

After that point she became something like a muse to you

Moving to Stardew Valley was exactly the change you needed

Being confined to a Joja office and wearing the same dull clothes was wearing on your sanity

Pelican Town was so much brighter and livelier than your cramped apartment in Zuzu City

Everyone was friendly (save for Shane) and welcomed you warmly to the town

Meeting Elliot seemed like fate, or perhaps love at first sight

His outward appearance was breathtaking from his clothes to his hair

His personality seemed even better

He kissed your knuckle after introducing himself and your heart soared

So you started dedicating what time you could to getting to know the man

You even gave him gifts when you could

Soon enough it became like clockwork

You visited him every day around the same time

Soon enough, you were able to enter his cabin, and he explains how he's an author and how nobody in his hometown believed in him

You felt horrible for him and exclaimed that you believed in him and were there for him if he needed to vent

He seemed thankful for your words

The relationship between you two grew further

A note from Pierre was in your mailbox, claiming that he was selling a bouquet of flowers and how it was tradition to ask someone out with it

You'd be lying if you said you didn't have feelings for Elliot

You never failed to feel butterflies around him, a blush seeming to stain your face as well

You bought the bouquet and made your way to Elliots cabin

Hesitantly, you knocked on the door and held the flowers behind your back

"Hey darling, come in."

He held the door open for you and then shut it behind you two

"What can I help you with?" He asked sweetly

You took a deep breath and brought the bouquet from behind your back

Elliots eyes widened slightly and a blush dusted his cheeks

"Well, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be official with me?"

After a moment he nodded and took the flowers from you gently

"Of course I would Y/N."

Emily With A Reader Who Can't Sleep

You sighed as you stared at the pitch black ceiling. You felt exhausted but just couldn't manage to fall asleep. Soft snores came from Emily, who lay beside you. You tried as quietly as you could to get out of bed without waking Emily. A glass of water sounded wonderful.

Ever so often, a soft creak would come from the floor as you walked to the kitchen. You grabbed a glass from the cabinet and filled it with water. "Why are you awake?" You jumped slightly, startled by Emily's voice.

You turned around with the cup in your hand. "I just can't sleep for some reason. I'm tired from working today, but I can't manage to drift off." You explained before taking a drink of the water. She nodded. She looked sleepy herself. "Finish your water, and maybe I can help you fall asleep."

You did as she said and followed Emily back to your bedroom. "Lay down and close your eyes." You climbed into bed and laid down, pulling the covers over you and closing your eyes. The bed shifted beside you as Emily sat down.

"Slow your breathing down. In for three, hold for three, out for three." You followed her instructions and felt your body begin to relax. She ran her fingers through your hair gently as you continued to breathe. "For me personally, I like imagining myself at my happy place. Imagine yourself at your happy place."

Visions of trees came into your vision. A light breeze ruffled your hair and kissed your face. It was the Cindersap Forest. One of your favorite places. It was always quiet save for the sound of animals and the wind ruffling the leaves. Somewhere where you could relax.

"Now, imagine the sun shining on your face. It's warming your body." You did as told and imagined the warm sun on your face. It helped your body relax further. Before Emily could give you any more instruction, she heard your breathing deepen.

"Y/N?" She called softly. No response. She smiled to herself, knowing she had successfully helped you go to sleep. She laid down and drifted off to sleep herself.

Mmmmmay I get some headcanons on Shane with a reader who likes to mend clothes as a sort of love language? Shane’s jeans have a hole? No problem! Nothing a needle can’t fix! Shane laments his favorite shirt got pecked apart by chickens? Perfect opportunity to use that thread they got a while ago! Shane’s ratty hoodie is a challenge but they are willing to take it on, maybe some colorful patches etc.

Just something with someone who loves Shane and expresses that love trough making sure the clothes he either needs or straight up feels good in are well mended and taken care off?

Shane With A Reader Who Mends His Clothes

When you moved to Pelican Town you had brought all your sewing stuff with you

You had been taught young how to sew but weren't the best and never really tried to get better

That was, until you moved to Stardew Valley

Being a farmer meant you tore your clothes pretty frequently, and they would need to be sewn back together to be wearable

So you picked back up on sewing

It didn't take long for your skills to improve (with some help from Emily), and the stitches started blending in with the clothing seamlessly

During that time you met and slowly became friends with Shane

He resisted your efforts but you eventually became close friends

After his breakdown at the cliffside and him beginning to get his life back together, it didn't take long for you two to begin dating

You had realized how tattered and worn out Shane's outfits were

Some were just general wear and tear, some were from the chickens, and some were when he'd try to help out on your farm

First, you offered to start working on his jacket

He wore it everywhere and you figured that making it look better could be a confidence boost for Shane

So you got to work, and after a few days of fixing and sewing, you were able to make it look almost brand new

Coincidentally, Shane had mentioned that the chickens pecked apart his favorite shirt and that it was likely ruined

You took the shirt in and worked your magic, sewing it back to being wearable

After a rough day at JojaMart you noticed a rip in his shorts

It didn't take long for you to fix it up since it wasn't a major tear or anything

Shane never failed to thank you for fixing his clothes

He had no idea how to sew and figured he would have just had to throw out the clothes otherwise (save for the pants since it was a simple tear)

His clothes began to help give him a confidence boost, which he desperately needed

You continued to sew as needed, and Shane cherished that you would do something so sweet to help him

Elliot With A Sad Reader

You had had a bad day, being unable to catch the fish you needed, accidentally messing up your crops, and just overall not being as productive as you wanted to be. You trudged over to Elliots cabin, desperately needing some comfort. Tears threatened to fall as you knocked on his door. You just hoped he was home.

Much to your luck, he was home. The door opened, and his bright smile faded to a concerned look. "Oh dear, come in, come in." He ushered you inside and closed the door behind you. You'd be denying that just being in his presence made you feel a bit better.

You took a seat and put your head in your hands. You felt the bed dip next to you as Elliot took his seat beside you. He gently ran his fingers through your hair as he pulled you closer. It didn't take long for the tears to start to fall. The stress of the day was catching up.

You couldn't see it, but Elliot gave you a sympathetic look as he kissed the top of your head. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but what's got you so upset, my love?" His voice helped ground you from your tears. You gave yourself a minute to calm down as your cries turned to sniffles.

"Today has just been so stressful. I promised Willy a certain fish, but they just weren't biting at all. I tried until my hands ached from reeling in the fishing rod. Then, when I was taking care of my crops this morning, I tripped and smashed some of them. I don't think they'll recover and produce anything. I just don't feel like I was productive enough today." Tears leaked from your eyes as you vented your frustrations.

The sympathetic look never left Elliots face. He understood the issues you were facing. "Well, you can't help that the fish weren't biting. I'm sure Willy will understand if you just explain it to him." He hugged you to his side and kissed the top of your head. "As for the crops, would you like me to buy you some new seeds so you can plant new ones?" He didn't have a lot of money, but if it would help you, then he would figure it out.

"No, I can afford it. It just feels like such a waste of my time and energy since they won't even probably bloom now." You explained as you leaned into the man. He hummed in understanding. "As for not feeling productive enough, you can't be so hard on yourself. You're very productive every day, but everyone has days that aren't as productive as others. But from the sounds of it, you've been pretty productive today."

You wiped your face from the tears and sighed softly. He was making a lot of sense. "Don't be so hard on yourself, darling. You're one of the most hard-working people I know." You couldn't help but smile a little. Maybe you had just been too hard on yourself.

Elliot smiled back at you. "There's that beautiful smile." A blush dusted your face though your cheeks were already pink from crying. "Thanks for talking me through that, Elliot. I feel a lot better now. I think I was just stressed and overwhelmed." He nodded and rubbed your waist gently. "I'm glad I could help. Now, would you like to stay here, or would you like to go pick up some seashells?"

Your smile brightened. "I think I'd like to pick up some seashells."
