I don't trust artists that openly criticize liking posts.
We're all aware that liking a post is the simplest form of interaction and doesn't get your art boosted as much as it used to, but it's also the easiest way for other people to engage with your work. Putting on a post that you should always reblog and not "just like" even to the point of threatening to block ppl for it is just not a good look for anyone. Of course, you as an artist deserve to have your work seen, and I'm not talking about ppl who politely put "reblogs appreciated" under posts, but I promise you, you'll get more interactions by not treating people like an algorithm number cruncher.
I queue most of my posts, and I've gotten blocked by artists before because I didn't immediately hit reblog. It's frustrating! I can't continue to support someone who can't even trust me to share their post.
Your followers do not owe you anything, you are posting artwork for yourself first and others last.

Everyday I'm appalled by the nasty attitude people have towards artists online. I dare you to go to an artist selling their art at a con or fair, right up to their face, and tell them you think the reason their art isn't selling well is purely because it sucks. Tell them the piece they worked on for literal days is no better than a child's work. Tell them they should've used AI instead. Go ahead! Say that straight to an artist's face, in person, instead of hiding behind the anonymity of online comments. See what happens! See where your rotten fucking attitude towards creatives gets you.

Do lawmakers even know how stupid KOSA truly is as a bill, if not dangerous. Think about it: having to give ID containing SENSITIVE INFORMATION (literally against Internet Safety 101) just to go on the internet. Being a minor having to do that is so dangerous and would put them in more danger at the hands of predators.
People who have to use the internet for educational uses will have to go through stupid, unneeded steps just to look up the purpose of the mitochondria!
Trans and Queer youth are in danger. Fandom spaces are in danger. Children, the very group of people that this bullshit bill is claiming to protect, are in DANGER!
The States having full monopoly over the internet is so, so ungodly stupid and dystopian. I can’t imagine being someone not from the States and having to witness all of this.
The bill doesn’t protect kids, it only puts them in more danger.
CALL YOUR REPS! SIGN PETITIONS! KEEP KOSA TRENDING! LET PEOPLE KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING!
