Day 18: Northern lights

A/N: Hey guys I know I said that I would be up to date by today but I think I’ll end up going all the way to Friday before I’m caught up.

It was Marinette and Damian’s 5th wedding anniversary and while the past years had been hectic they both felt that they could use a brake and that work was slowing down enough that they could disappear for a while. After calling in a few favors the couple was on their way to Norway for a short vacation.

They arrived late at night after an eight hour flight out of the JFK airport finally arriving in Norway at 1 AM. Upon their arrival they took a cab to their hotel and passed out hoping to get as much as they could packed into the 4 days they had left.

On the first day the couple woke up and unpacked, and at about 10 they left the hotel to go and see as many significant structures that they could, Marinette absolutely loved both the Oslo Cathedral and Akershus Castle because of all the history behind the buildings but also the architecture of them both. She definitely was planing several designs inspired by the structure. Damian was a bit different in his approach as his favorite was the Arctic Cathedral because of its design, trying to blend in with the ice and snow but still built to stand out.

On their second day on Norway they took a train journey and headed up to the Lyngen Alps were they spent all day skiing and wondering at the land. When they made there way back to the hotel they indulged in several types of pastries though Damian was a bit concerned with them not actually having had a full meal since that morning. Marinette just waved him off and shoved another Skolebrød in her mouth as she went to get dressed for bed.

On their third day they visited as many Museums that they could Marinette’s favorite was exactly a museum but a park where there were over 200 bronze and granite sculptures. Damian on the other hand rather enjoyed the Kon-Tiki Museum, while the name made both Marinette and Damian laugh they loved the exhibitions and the cave tour though being underground for that long was s bit draining on Marinette.

For their last full day Damian checked them into Ersfjordbotn Village where they set out to explore the village and find the best place to watch the northern lights. As night fell over the village the lights emerged and the couple spent hours snuggled up against each other just watching. When they could barley stay awake the decided to head inside where Marinette handed Damian a box and asked him to open it. When he opened the box he found baby sized booties and Marinette pointing at her stomach which had pregnant written on it.

“Happy anniversary” said Marinette as she hugged Damian who was still in shock about the news.

When he finally could speak he said, “ I love you and our little family thank you for being there these last 5 years.”

Day 17: De-Aging

A/N: hi here’s day 17 I’m not in love with it but it’s something and I did promise I would get it out today.

The Wayne’s were on vacation traveling so that they could check in on both the Paris branch but also on the rumors that were being to spread about super heroes.

It wasn’t exactly a surprise when the Akuma attacked but the Miraculous team had already fought an akuma that day early in the morning. When the fight started it looked like it would be an easy one find the akumatized item and destroy it but after several failed tries the Miraculous team realized that it was going to be a lot harder than they thought. They spent about 2 more hours until they saw a blast where the entire city was covered in light. All of a sudden people aged back 10 years you went from being 40 to 30 or for children 10 or younger you just de-aged until you were one. This happened to anyone who wasn’t wearing a miraculous. At this point the Miraculous team was exhausted but had gotten a second wind the Akuma was amen down within the hour but the effects were still in full effect.

Within the Wayne hotel suite there was chaos a seven year old Damian running around trying to escape from the room and brandishing whatever he could get his hands on. A 10 year old Tim Drake wondering where he was and why there were so many people around him not to mention asking why there was a child running around trying to kill them. Jason was fine he was 13 at this point and he knew who Dick and Bruce were but was rolling with the punches of having two other children in the room. Dick was probably the most normal with knowing everyone and automatically checking the phone in his pocket for the date leaning that he was 10 years in the future and definitely not in Gotham. But Bruce was probably doing the best no questions asked watching the boys and while he didn’t know why he had so many he was relishing the relief of a relaxed back as he could only guess the amount of stress he was soon going to encounter.

It was the end of the day when everything went back to normal and people returned to how they originally were. Though everyone try’s not to mentions the incident, Chloe will bring it up occasionally because she swears that she saw a young Bruce Wayne when she swung by the hotel to check on everyone. The story only comes to light 10 years later when Marinette and Damian get married and Alfred prints out a photo of the Wayne family all together but in too large clothing and too young to have known of each other. When Chloe see’s the photo she screams “I KNEW IT” and barges right up tho the newlyweds and demands answers.

Day 16: Royalty

A/N: Here is day 16 and I hope that you all enjoy.

Damian Al-Ghul was an assassin, the problem arose when Damian Wayne became a prince. You see for his first 14 years of life he was raised by his mother in the league of assassins, but at the age of 14 he was sent on a mission to kill a prince named Jason Todd Wayne. What Damian hadn’t known was that Jason had been adopted into the Wayne family. During that mission he learned that all the heirs of the Wayne family were trained in the art of killing. Damian was captured by Jason and placed in a holding cell until Bruce Wayne could see him. When they finally did meet bruce recognized his eyes demanding to know who his mother was and then sent Damian back home with a guard who then collect his possessions and told Talia that Damian would be residing with the king of Gotham as the heir as he was his direct decent. And that’s how Damian Al-Ghul became Damian Wayne crowned prince of Gotham.

About two kingdoms away Sabine Cheng was reviving news from her sister, and her old leader who was more like her childhood best friend. She revived two letters one from her half sister Tomoe and one from Talia, Tomoe’s letter said that as their daughters were both 13 they were needing coaching in taking over their kingdoms and discovering their powers, she suggested that they send the cousins to Talia so that they could be trained to fight and then to their grandfather so that they could learn to lead a kingdom and control their powers. The letter from Talia was a bit more concerning as Sabine had assumed that Tomoe had already contacted Talia asking for her assistance and this was Talia reaching out, but the contents were alarming as this letter was to inform Sabine that Damian had been taken to live with his father and until further notice he would remain ignorant of his betrothal to Marinette. This was fine with Sabine as she had yet to inform her daughter of her betrothal or of how Kagami would take control of her grandfather’s kingdom because of it.

Sabine wrote back to her sister agreeing to her plan to send the girls away so long at they went to their grandfather’s first and then to Talias as she was facing her own difficulties.

Marinette and Kagami trained with their grandfather for 3 years and on the anniversary of when they were sent away they left to spend 2 years with Talia training in espionage and war tactics for inevitable battles they would face.

It was with Talia that they finally saw their mothers again Tomoe and Sabine had arrived about a year into their training and informed them of their diverging paths. Though both girls would eventually rule it was Kagami who would takeover their familial land and Marinette who would marry a prince and rule as his queen. Though the girls were shocked they didn’t object both knowing the benefits of their placements Kagami as a warrior queen who would never take a spouse and would rule until Marinette’s child could clam the kingdom and merge their familial land with that of Marinette’s betrothed.

Damian was 19 when he learned of his betrothal to another royal line a princes who was 18 and though he found no interest in marrying he agreed with both his mother and father that the union would be beneficial for both kingdoms.

Marinette was 18 when she learned that she was to marry Talia’s son Damian, from what Marinette could remember he was a silent man who killed like the rest of those in the league. While she had several hesitations she knew that she too had the potential to kill and had done so before when it was necessary. Marinette was worried with the child being Talia’s that he would have no claim to the crown but she quickly learned that he was the crowned prince of Gotham and that the union would be extremely beneficial for not only her family but his as well.

It was Damian’s 20th birthday when he first met the granddaughters of King Fu, he was surprised when neither girl gave her name only their respective last names a Tusrugi and a Dupain-Cheng. While Damian was still in no way looking for a relationship he couldn’t help but hope that he was marrying the Dupain girl. While both were beautiful he felt that the Tusrugi girl wouldn’t make a good wife or a complimentary partner as she seemed much more stif in her interactions while the Dupain fluttered around greeting everyone she met.

At the end of the night King Bruce informed the guests that tonight was the first introduction of their future queen.

As Bruce stood on the stage he called up Talia saying “I would now like to present Damian’s mother and his future brides trainer.”

Next he called up the whole Fu line, “And now I would like to welcome King Fu and his granddaughters, alongside each girl stands her mother, they each have an announcement to make which will lead Damian into knowing who his bride is.”

First came Tomoe who spoke of how strong and brave her daughter was and how wonderful a queen she would make. At the end of her speech Bruce could see his son’s face slightly souring to which he smiled because he knew what would come next would be a great surprise. The second speaker was Sabine, she stepped forward and said “And now I would like to present you my daughter she two will be queen but unlike her cousin she will become queen through marriage, she has been preparing for the past 6 years and though the training and distance has been tough she has never lost her sense of self and creativity.” With that announcement out of the way Damian was allowed to step forwards and officially meet his bride. They stepped forward and took each others hands turning to the crowed they waved and retreated to the study so that they could get to know each other.

“Hello,” came Damian’s reply followed by,” I’m sorry I don’t know your first name.”

“Marinette, my name is Marinette.”

Day 15: Cats

A/N: Here's day 15 I'll get a couple more posted today.

Damian loved animals especially cats so it came to no ones surprise when he came home with a whole litter of them in a box. But what did surprise them was that within the box there was a tinny cat curled around a ring.

At the same time across the world there was a little 10 year old girl gardening on her balcony when she looked out to the park and saw that her favorite tree was to be cut down. She quickly rushed over and began asking tons of questions as to why and she found out that the small tree was dying and that if it didn’t go down then it could hurt the rest of the park. Though she was sad about the outcome she understood the need but she promised the men that she would plant two trees near by one in the same spot and one on her balcony. When Marinette returned home she rushed to tell her parents her plan and they agreed. It took till the planting of the trees but early the next morning Marinette would swear that she saw a swarm of ladybugs on her roof, but instead she found a pair of earrings.

Both children Grew up not knowing what these pieces of jewelry were but Marinette never took the earrings out and Damian named the cat Alfred and kept his ring on at all times. On their respective 12th birthdays the Kwamis popped out and spent a year teaching them of their respective paths. Though the Kwamis didn’t like that they were separated they knew that their wearers would need to be separated until the huge evil arose.

So Marinette fought Hawkmoth alone and after 2 years took him down thinking she would be done with superhero business she finally told her parents of where she went. And their small family celebrated the safety of their daughter and taught her of her mothers history within an organization that had wanted to control the Miraculous. Marinette then learned that she was not done with her superhero business as she had at least one more enemy to face.

Damian already had training from both his parents and he used it to the best of his ability when he was out with his family. Damian wasn’t allowed to go out as Robin until he turned 15 but that didn’t stop him by the time he was 13 he and plagg were going out and taking care of the smaller things before his father could worry and was home before parole was over. Eventually Damian made a new name for himself and then he gave it up not knowing that eventually he would take it up again.

It took a lot of work for both Marinette and Damian but their story started with a box of cats and a swarm of ladybugs.

Day 14: Heat

A/N: Hey I know it’s been a while but I’m back. (I had finals all week and today was my last final) I’ll be playing catch-up but I think I’ll be all good by Monday. Anyway I hope you enjoy Heat from Monday.

There were several side effects that came with owning a miraculous like purring for chat noir, or Kagami’s high tolerance for spicy food, Chloe couldn’t stay awake without honey and well Luca could always hear things but this story it’s about how Marinette almost died when she went looking for the guardians.

Marinette had left Paris six months ago and moved in with her great uncle Alfred, and by move in with her great uncle Alfred she meant getting her own wing in the Wayne Manor. Marinette had been living there for about two weeks when she noticed that every night most of the Wayne family would flip out of the house and disappear only to return hours later exhausted and sometimes physically wounded. About a month and she was willing to confront them about her suspicions of them being the bat family. Of course the package deny it but when she brought out Damien to everyone surprise was the first to acknowledge that she was correct. About two months after that Damien confronted Marinette about her strange habits and how once a week she seem to disappear from the manner only to return in her room as she had never left. At this point Marinette and Damien had established a sort of bond or trust and with that Marinette felt safe enough to admit to Damien that she was in fact a Persian superhero who had to travel home once a week and rid Paris of a catalyst that held parts of a villains power.

This secret to both Damien and Marinette was the start of a partnership where they would help one another either stay hidden from the rest of their family or accomplish when needed to be done it was because of this that three months later Marinette almost died.

Marinette had inform Damien that should be contacted by one of her previous masters through a letter that she had only now received this master for his had sadly passed away three years before she had moved in with Damien and his family but at this point she was meant to meet the people who had trained her master so that she may take over and we considered in charge of the miraculous. Of course Damien offered to assist Marinette in this job that she had been assigned but as she feared becoming to attached to Damian she refused his offer and went alone. Though Damian assisted her in finding where it was. Damian agreed to Marinette going alone but to the caveat that Marinette would wear a tracker and if she didn’t check in with him at least once every 3 hours or he would zetta over and try to find her. Marinette didn’t think this would be necessary but she agreed nonetheless, sadly it was necessary as after being by herself for 16 hours she missed a check in which had Damien zettaing over to Tibet and searching for her in the snow. When Damian eventually found Marinette he thought she was dead but after getting her back to a warm place he realized that she seemed to be in a coma like state not knowing what to do he took her phone and called “Queenie” knowing that they were one of Mari’s best friends, Chloe automatically answers and before she can start yelling Damian shouts “I think Mari’s dead, I found her in the snow.”

“What!!!” Came Chloe’s reply as she shouted something over hear shoulder then turned back to her phone and said to Damian in as calm of a voice she could muster, “ get her some place warm send us her location because according to Adrian she may have entered hibernation.”

I took a while before Marinette was warmed up enough to talk but when she came through her entire team was in Gotham and so was the bat fam though she thinks they were there more for the shock factor that she could hibernate and that some how Damian was curled around her, trying to emit more heat.

Day 13: Trapped

A/N: It’s not the best but its something. 

Aria was 7 years old when her Marinette was finally comfortable leaving her with a sitter that wasn’t a relative, so on Marinette and Damian’s 8th anniversary they left aria with a sitter. Arias sitter Angela  decided to take her to the park they spent all day in the sun having fun and it wasn’t until night time that things began to take a turn for the worse, you see Angela was a bit forgetful and she had forgotten to lock the door when she had gotten back to her apartment with Aria. Well she went to put aria down for bed and that’s when the gas bomb was rolled in through the front door. 

It wasn’t till about two hours later that Angela was roused from her sleep. She was awoken by two very mad parents, you see Damian hadn’t been ready to leave Aria with a sitter just yet but the entirety of the bat clan was busy today, so he agreed with Marinette and took Aria to a sitters house. After being questioned by the parents Angela was sent to her room to sleep of what was left of the gas. As Damian called his family members Marinette went outside to call her team, they may have all been adults at this point but Marinette knew she could count on them to help her search for Aria. 

As everyone was arriving by portal or from within the city they were being sent off to search different possible locations.

In an abandoned warehouse about 10 miles outside of Gotham, Aria was waking up to see a pail man with green hair staring down at her. 

“Joker” said aria as she made eye contact with the clown.

“Little Wayne” replied the Joker 

You see aria wasn’t scared she always knew something like this would happen her great aunt Harley had told her about the joker a no good bastard who thought he could control Gotham. And though she was only 7 her parents had taught her a few things but her grandmothers and aunts had taught her so much more. 

She knew the joker hated crying and that he would much rather prefer screaming or laughing so that’s exactly what Aria did she began to ball her eyes out and got the joker to untie her. All it took was a small twist and Aria had sent her location to her family.

“Ladybug” came a voice in Marinette’s ear as she swung towards the riddlers usual hide out. 

“Yes she responded

“We have her location” came Kagami’s reply    

“Where”

North about 10 miles outside of Gotham.” Was her response but Marinette was already on her way.

Back in the warehouse Aria had already dealt with the joker and was sitting on top of him, she looked down and said “Yes, Auntie Barbra was right always go for the legs, and so was auntie Chloe the best place to keep a weapon is in your pony tale.”

All little Aria got as a response was a grunt from the joker as she swung her legs back and forth repeatedly kicking him in the ribs. 

About 10 seconds later Ladybug came swinging in only to stop short as she saw that her seven year old daughter had successfully trapped the Joker.

Day 12: Soulmate

A/N: Im sorry that its late but here is yesterdays prompt. 

Everyone had a soulmate, at least that’s what you were told when you were younger. You were supposed to be able to talk with them in your sleep. A realm you shared to strengthen your bond and give each other clues as to where the other was, all you were directly allowed to tell them was your name. You were given connection to the soul realm when the youngest turned 10, lucky enough for Damian and Marinette, Damian’s birthday came first and at that point he was sent to live with his father. After about 2 months of living with Bruce did Damian finally get in contact with his soul mate. But for about two years he didn’t talk to her as he didn’t know what she was or why he could hear someone in his mind that he had never met.

It was about two years later on Damians 12th birthday when he over heard Dick mention to Jason that Barbra was his soul mate, at first Damian thought that this idea was ridiculous as why would you believe in soulmates but then he heard Tim talking about how there was a girl who was about 2 years younger than him who spoke to him in French while he slept. At that point Damian was curious he decided that when he fell asleep he would talk to that voice which always called out to him.

In Damians sleep

As he opened his eyes all he could see was blinding light, and then a completely pink room. 

“Hello” he called then he remembers what Tim had said about a possible different language and began calling in different languages. He finally called hello in French and that’s when a girl popped up

“Oh Hello” replied a small girl with a French accent.

“Hi” replied Damian 

“Pardon me for asking but did you just turn ten” said the girl. 

To which Damian replied “No”

“Then why is it only now that you have appeared?”questioned the girl.

“Well to be honest I don’t know what this is,” replied Damian “I only today heard from my brothers that it was normal to hear a voice in your head.” 

“Oh,” said the girl before she stuck out her hand and said “well my name is Marinette Dupain Cheng, I’m 12 and I am your soulmate.”

To which Damian replied “My name is Damian, but I’m still curious about this soulmate thing”

“Well everyone has a soulmate there are some rules to it but this is a space we share, it helps us get to know each other and eventually find each other. Oh! And you can add whatever you want to the space just think about it, I’ve had two years of decorating time so feel free to add whatever you want.”

“I will thank you”

“So why didn’t you know about soulmates” came Marinette’s voice as Damian was looking around her pink space.

“Well my mother didn’t teach me about them and I assume my father thought she had.”

“Wouldn’t your dad know if your mom taught you about them?”came Marinette’s question 

“No came Damians reply as he sat down on a dark brown couch he had made appear and looked at the French girl before taking a deep breath and asking her to sit so he could get to know her as they had two years of catching up to do.

By the time Damian turned 16 he knew everything there was to know about Marinette and she him, they knew the other was a supper hero and they learned where the other was located, it took some googling but they managed to get in contact outside of their shared mental space.

They were now 18 and they were planing to meet up for the first time, Marinette was going to Gotham to meet him that summer as she was looking into universities in the states. They met up at a coffee shop and finally got to touch each other for the first time. They spent the entirety of Marinette trip together but eventually it was time for Marinette to return home. She didn’t end up going to college in Gotham but she and Damian spent that summer going back and forth seeing each other.

They were 22 when Damian proposed to Marinette in front of all their friends and families, of course she said yes. It was 3 months later when they were married and 2 years later they gave birth do a beautiful baby girl.

It was their daughters 9th birthday and together they told her of how they meet and how she might get to meet her own soulmate on her 10th birthday, of course they told her that it might take a bit longer but that didn’t stop her from being excited. And of course Marinette and Damian couldn’t wait to see how their daughters live would play out.

Day 11: Snow Globe

It was their first Christmas celebrating together and this was going to be the most important celebration for them as they were spending it with both of their families. Together they decided how they were going to split up the holidays, they were spending the break up until Christmas Eve with Marinette’s parents and then they were taking a portal in the morning to Damians dad’s house so that Marinette and Alfred could begin to prepare the meal and sweets for Christmas night.

But currently both Marinette and Damian were in New York looking into one of Marinette’s top fashion internship offers, it wasn’t that she have any in Paris, hell everyone expected her to take Gabriel off of Adrians hands and rebrand it. But she felt that she would need to get some more real world experience and then start up her own company even if that did include taking over Gabriel to help Adrian with the problems it was causing him.

“Mari, we’re here do you want me to wait or can I go get some shopping done for your family.”

“No I’m ok. I'm going in for the interview and then a tour of the place, I should be done in about two hours and then I’m going to head to Chloe’s apartment. So I’ll see you in about 3 hours over there. Chloe said Luka will be getting home at about 4, so I think that me and her will be good with an hour of girl time before you get there and Luka should be there at about the same time.”

“Ok, I’ll see you in about 3 hours. Love you” said Damian as he kissed Mari’s cheek.

“Bye love you two.” said Marinette as she went to sit down before being called into her interview.

As Damian left Marinette he receives a call from Luka

“What do you want Couffaine,” said Damian as he picked up the phone.

“Your help”

“What for”

“I’m planing on proposing to Chloe this Christmas and I need help picking out a ring”

“Fine but I’m going to need some assistance as well as I have yet to select a gift for Marinette or her parents.”

“Planing to propose?”

“No but I do need to get her something special, I was thinking something along the lines of “first Christmas” but nothing which connotes to a child just us celebrating.”
“Well how about I meet you at the shopping center and well look for gifts for the Dupain Cheng’s and then go ring shopping and if anything catches your eye well see if we can get it for Marinette”

“Ill meet you at the shopping center in 10 minutes.” Said Damian as he hung up on Luka and hails a cab to take him to Manhattan.

After about two and a half hours of searching for Chloes Ring and presents for each of the Dupain Cheng’s the boys head back home and stash their gifts in Luka’s music room. After a nice dinner and a promise to get together for New Years Eve Damian and Marinette head out to get on a plane back to Paris.

It had been about week since they got to Paris and they were just now wrapping their gifts for everyone. As marines went downstairs to check on the Christmas cookies she was baking Damian quickly pulled out the snow globe he had boughten Marinette when they were in New York, and quickly wrapped it with the rest of her presents.

Damian and Marinette had a wonderful Christmas Eve with Marinette’s parents opening a few gifts and reminiscing in stories. When the night was done Marinette and Damian turned in for the night as in the morning they would have to head over to way Manor and prepare for Christmas with the Wayne’s.

It took Marinette and Alfred until about 6 to complete everything and at that point the family had already arrived. Meaning that the moment they announced that dinner was completed there was a stampede to the dinner table. After dinner they all got together around the Christmas tree to open presents. It was here that Damian handed Marinette his gift and watched her begin to water at the eyes. Last night he had given her a beautiful necklace with a ladybug charm, and tonight he toped it with a snow globe that had the moment they first meet
