Unfortunately, due to past experiences in another game that I was involved in, one of the players has left the game. I'm not a perfect person and I did mess up back then (it was an unmedicated day and I had an outburst) but I've been trying my hardest to keep myself in check. I guess I just impacted them that badly. I'm not happy with myself and frankly this is a bit discouraging (to the point I'm considering just dropping TTRPGs altogether if people feel this way about playing with me so I don't make them uncomfortable). But I at least want to finish writing this whole thing. Maybe I'll put the statblocks and everything online someday so other people can run this setting.
Sorry for the negative rambling. This post was just supposed to be an announcement that we had one less player.

On hiatus, main party is currently still in Cordette. I'll be resetting the day to after they finished shopping, when we finally return. In the meantime, I'm going to be working on fleshing out the world and plot more.

I have a DMPC in my campaign as somebody for my players to get attached to, and so I can experience the story from the perspective of a player (I'm a baby DM so I tried to make him balanced as I'm still new to TTRPGs and don't even know HOW to make a character overpowered)
Is it a good idea to fake out my players at the end of the campaign and make them think the DMPC stole the glory of the final blow on the final boss, only to then BECOME the TRUE final boss? I want to be a little mischievous (I find it funny to annoy people sometimes) and then 180 it on my players to keep things interesting. Plus the emotional turmoil it'll put them through when they realize what just happened.
I like that idea!

You have thrown food into fires as a “sacrifice to the gods” since you were little. You’ve been going through a bad breakup, and a stranger appears to check if you’re alive since you haven’t payed tribute recently.

Hi, I'm Dungeon Master Judie. I run a homebrew campaign called Everlast, which is intended to be part of an interconnected universe with my other, later campaigns. These are some of the characters of this campaign.
The character depicted at the top, Milneam, is a God who has newly returned to the pantheon after centuries of self-exile.
The second character is Chakkaron MaCoiye, or simply "Chakka". He is a Sun Elf and a Warlock of the Great Old One.
The third is a character I based off a Hatsune Miku song ("the beast.") named Edrich. Yes, he's depressed.
The fourth is Prince Derilan Ashenclove of the Druidic Kingdom, Cordette. He's a very sweet lad.
The fifth is a Warforged made to look like a porcelain doll. His name is Corvellion.
And finally, we have Princess Ruanna of Stardelle. A very fair and kind young lady.
Feel free to ask further questions about these guys. I usually run my game 12pm-4pm EST some Fridays, and 4pm-8pm EST every other Friday. I have two different parties despite this basically being baby's first campaign. I will also be using this blog to track the progress of the two parties, so keep an eye out for the tags "party1" and "party2".
