Eridan & Roxy

This is a friend of our favorite ship, which we haven't thought about till now, but like I get it. Roxy is what Eridan wishes he could be, and Roxy has enough energy to fuel both of them into wizard nerd loving heaven.

Eridan and Roxy are so close to being the same one. they just got a shitty seahorse dad and a lot of expectations, and the other got isolation and alcoholism.

Eridan, a kid who used to just be a huge nerd liking wizards who had to go out and hunt people's parents and random lusus. Has a moirail who is just straight up using him Feferi had no intention of ever actually being his moirail just wanted him to do as she wanted when I'm sure there were other violets to do the job. Or ya know she could have done it herself. Was he an asshole yea but also like the rest of them he was a thirteen year old with a lot of responsibility and expectations to live up to. If he actually wanted to do half the shit he threatened, he wouldn't ask Equius to make a million different world ending machines he could have just waited an extra ten minutes at feeding glubglub. None of his friends had to deal with his bullshit but he really needed someone, and Karkat got to him far too late to change anything.

Then we have Roxy over here surrounded by people that she can't understand and avoid her. Half her friends think she's insane because they refuse to believe the truth she is living. The last friend that believes her because he is in the same hell is a mile away from his own emotions, and half the time, she gets left with Hal who is sweet but just a reminder that Dirk would rather work than respond to his friends including her. Again, it becomes an alcoholic at sixteen if not earlier because what else is she supposed to do while she waits for the world to end. Plus having to hope the drones don't come and wipe her out before then.

Neither of these kids have the friendships they need. Then let's present them with each other. Both love wizards, Roxy is a tech genius which will help with Eridan's Magic vs Science guess what? You can have both! They are gender. There is this one art piece where they are both wearing girl boy wizard shirts, and Roxy has wizard checked, and Eridan has all three checked, and they're correct. Roxy would show him what it's like to be yourself freely, and Eridan's clingy ass would make sure Roxy never felt alone again. I'm leaning more towards moirails for them, but Pale/Flushed is also very good. Let them be besties with the most kick ass fashion sense and most confusing genders. Hell, even a human qpr where they get married for the tax benefits and own ten cats together sounds like perfection. They deserve to be happy ♡

Gamzee & Karkat

These two are tragic. They care about each other, but in the world they were in, they weren't made for each other.

Gamzee was never in a mental position to be able to really help other people. Lil cal, no lusus, the pie. People either treated him high a mighty (Equius), with fear (Karkat & Tavros) or like shit (all of them minus Tavros I think.) They just shrugged off his addiction as that just being his personality. He needed help, likely help none of them could have provided, but they still could have been there for him. There is nothing wrong with needing more help than what you can mentally or physically give, but none of the trolls were really in the position to be able to do that for him. At best, they could have tried to help him get professional help if that even existed on alternia, and maybe as they all got older, they would have gotten him that help. However, the game would never allow them that growth he had to get through that with all his preexisting issues and get to deal with the struggle of being cut off completely unready which if you know anything about addiction is really bad. The game and doc scratch really did everything they could to make him a rage player and gave him none of the tools to become a healthy, stable rage player. In the canon story he really never stood a chance and that's so tragic to me.

On the other side of this ship is Karkat, who has spent his entire life afraid. He doesn't trust anyone, and his desire to attempt to help everyone, but especially highbloods, is probably influenced by that fear. He keeps avoiding his own problems, claiming he'll be a great government hero, so maybe he has a chance at living. His friends probably could have helped him survive if Condy wasn't receiving power from Lord English. Maybe Feferi could have stood a chance once she became an adult. Or even using technology to get him clothes that help mask his heat signature. I understand why he didn't, but I feel like he stood slightly better chance at his friends being able to help him if they were cool about it.

Specifically with his relationship to Gamzee, as long as he stayed afraid, it would never work out, and as a kid, he just assumed Gamzee was an idiot and not someone who needed help. Thought he was easy to deal with, annoying, passive idiot. I feel if he wasn't worried about dying every moment of every day he might have actually noticed what Gamzee was doing to himself and the harm it was causing the the aura of sadness that Gamzee accidentally slips through sometimes whenever people talk shit about him.

This is again just a ship that never stood a chance with the game in place, and doc scratches adjustments. I love them. I do. I believe in a hundred different worlds as they grow together, they find a balance. Karkat helping him and Gamzee protect him, but I don't think it would get better till they were at least 25. Both adults, have several years of therapy under their belt and being part of each others support system. (and maybe when they feel like it making out idk) I think the best thing for them the best trope per say is childhood friends that have a big falling out and meet each other years later and reconnect both nervous but genuinely missing each other despite their troubled past relationship so happy to see how far the other has gone.

We ship them both flushed, pale, both and fluctuating. We love our sad little gay men. They had no hope in HS tho.

Rose & Kanaya

So after the last one, I don't have as much to say on this one. Rose and Kanaya are a wonderful relationship, however. I think hussie is a pussy. From what I recall, none of the humans really explore alternian relationships, and you can not look me in the eyes and tell me Rose wouldn't get into a quadrant with someone outside of Matesprites. In this essay, not essay, I will try to convince you that Rose and Kanaya should have been kismesis. My reasoning is simply that they had so much fun with their word games and trying to outwit and insult each other. I think they would still be affectionate but hateful affection. Constantly trying to one up each other in everything, including affection. Oh, you made me breakfast? Well, I got you your favorite latte from the shop across town with the half-hour wait times, so clearly of the two of us, I'm superior. They would absolutely fight as well magic vs. chainsaw and then try to again one up each other in patching each other up. Embarrassing each other at every opportunity. They wouldn't be a textbook alternian kismesis, but they would be a healthy one with only the occasional game going too far. They would be insufferable to be around, and I love them. Please see my vision.

Vriska & Terezi

When I first got into homestuck at 15 I was filled with so much hatred towards Vriska and this ship. People genuinely saying Vriska was without flaw and this relationship was healthy goals just infuriated us for some reason. Like we love flawed characters and awful fictional relationships because they are interesting to read! However, just at least back then, I could never find people who actually portrayed them with their flaws. They always just sanded them off.

However, now adays, it's just mildy annoying, and I can enjoy this fuckery. Both of these characters are flawed, and their relationship actively harms both of them, and that's interesting! It's tragic, it's fun, it's awful and beautiful! These girls ruin their own lives, each other's lives, and the lives of those around them in a horrid dance.

Terezi is entirely codependent on Vriska, even after her friends are hurt and killed and she is blinded by Vriska she hesitates at stopping her from causing more harm. Terezi is alone in a forest without a real lusus and I'd bet money Vriska was her first friend and first person to show interest in her so the idea of losing her is devastating. Even after all the things she does in game playing a part in the end of everything because Vriska wanted to be the hero and still spending the rest of her life looking for her. She seems incapable of getting as close with others as she is with Vriska. Mild friendships with bullying and games but never talking deeper and getting into a different toxic relationship with Gamzee.

Vriska. Where do you start. She was raised by one of the worst lusus, if not the worst. (Feferi's sucks but seemed to not give a shit as long as she was fed) Vriska, I'm sure since she exited grub form, he was forced to kill other children to feed her lusus. Befriended someone who idolized her, some asshole fish, some cute boy she was convinced was going to die without her help. She both thinks she is the most important person in the world and the worst if she is not constantly proving how cool she is. Kids with good self-esteem don't create a villain to kill to become the hero. She knows all her friends hate her or are angry with her, and this was a chance to change that. Even then, when she did become better, it was in a gross relationship with Meenah and then abandoned when she wasn't fun anymore.

These two kids are so incredibly fucked from start til finish. They never really get better or have an end to their story. Vriska is never seen again and never gets her starlight and praise that she worked so hard to get, and Terezi keeps looking for her when she might not even be out there anymore unintentionally ignoring all of her friends that are back on earth. They don't get their happy ending.

I would love for them to, though. My favorite ship flavor is probably moirails for them. For them to have each others back and work towards happiness and healing together and getting their chaos out in constructive ways that doesn't get them or the people they care about hurt. Feelings jams where they don't feel the need to impress each other anymore. No more trying to seem perfect and cool just talking about how fucked up everything was and how they're hurt each other without the fear the other would call them a loser anymore. They have such potential for hurt/comfort and a moirail slowburn just imagine it with me for just a moment.

I want them to have fun and I don't want them to change completely I just want them to heal and learn how to be a version of themselves that they can be happy with and doesn't get them justly killed. Is that too much to ask for?

Auditity headcanons

Auditor(Madness Combat) and Entity(Dead by Daylight)

how exactly these two end up together is beyond me right now but

Entity is by far the stronger of the two Auditor is just some magical small void thing while the Entity is a god existing outside of space and time in their own dimension their realm. 

Despite this any time someone says anything bad about the Entity in the Auditor’s presence, it’s on sight, sword out ready to kill. Could the Entity just shove said person into another trail? Or just torture them herself? Of course but Auditor isn’t just going to stand there while people talk shit about her girlfriend.

Not all insults get Auditor violent though they are two powerful beings who watch others pain and suffering for fun. She expects things like evil bitch, monster, horrid creature, asshole. It’s more when people insinuate that the she is only dating the Entity for their power, that the only good quality the Entity has is her power like she doesn’t have any worth aside from that. Or if people word things like “I can’t believe the Auditor is dating that monster” suggesting again that the Entity is undeserving of her love. They are both evil monsters in love shut up! The Entity is more than just her power and the Auditor will beat the shit out of any who say otherwise. 

A lot of people who are unaware of their bond who say they are only together for power comes partly from the fact that the Auditor is not big on public displays of affection and prefers to keep affection in private yet the Entity gives zero shits and is going to kiss her girlfriend and proudly show her some cool human skull they picked up to add to their collection of favorite skulls. 

Entity’s love languages are words of affection and quality time Auditor’s love languages are gifts and grand gestures Pretty equal with physical contact it’s again Auditor prefers to keep most of that for when they are by themselves.

The Entity gets jealous a lot faster than the Auditor does. Entity has never shared anything before until Auditor came around being the queen of the death trials dimension does that to ya. While the Auditor doesn’t really share things either she’s seen how Sanford, Deimos and Hank act and is like yea that’d be fine if that occurred. 

I feel my characterization of the Entity might be weird to some but like she has never interacted with another person, as a person. Like sure she knows how to play chess with survivor and killers mental health but she thinks of them as toys. She probably can’t even recall the last time she required humanoid form she is usually just those arms those arm things that stab people on hooks or at the end of trials. The Entity knows how to break people, not how to be one and since a lot of the survivors find it unnerving knowing that the Entity is capable of thought, capable of caring for another person, and just choosing to use their powers for their dark evil desires is worse than just some evil thoughtless dimension doing what comes natural to it, has no plans on changing their behavior. 

Imagine the killers? Mr Myers learning this lanky ass spider is what has trapped him here and gives him rules to follow pisses him off to no end.

Entity and Auditor’s relationship probably isn’t perfect like I wouldn’t be surprised if the Entity has tried some kind of mind games with Auditor and Auditor while okay having a powerful girlfriend has gotten curious a time or two if she can have that kind of power herself. What’s better than one god than two ya know? Fights as they both learn how to treat each other as people instead of playthings or tools to use against others. 

Anytime they fight everyone in the Entity’s realm knows about it they can feel it in the way everything shifts and shakes as though a earthquake or heavy storm is going through the area.

They are both switches but most of the time Auditor is the dom. Despite allowing Auditor to lead in this kind of situation the Entity doesn’t trust the Auditor to meet them in places outside of their realm since they are the most powerful when within her realm.

TF2 VIBE CHECK

How this all started was Scout getting a lucky guess and Spy checking an enemy Spy while yelling VIBE CHECK which left the enemy Spy respawning confused and Scout fucking losing it. 

 -Scout had planned on the vibe check being a one or two-time joke but being how his first vibe check fucked up a disguised enemy Spy he won’t live it down. For a few days for every hit he makes with his bat he yells vibe check in every situation but eventually it being a two-syllable phrase he starts going back and forth between vibe check and bonk.

-Let’s just say unlike bonk, vibe check really sticks with some of the other mercs

-The first to pick it up is Medic he finds it hilarious. This has some “How do you do fellow kids” energy but like he’s having a blast and Scout fucking loses it every time he hears Medic’s old ass yelling Vibe check. 10/10 Loves vibe check.

-Soldier thinks yelling it helps you hit harder which is completely accurate and he also does like a laugh after he yells it. “VIBE CHECK HAHAHAHAHA” Like he’s figured out a new secret skill that only he has mastered. 10/10 The most painful vibe check.

-Sniper knows it majorly pisses off Spy since it was his death that got this shit started so he only ever says it when killing Spy. 8/10 Great fun.

-Spy fucking hates vibe check but he says it every time a split second before stabbing Sniper and Scout. 6/10 Might say it a decent amount but he wishes the phrase didn’t exist.

-Demoman would say it more since he thinks it’s fun but he just sorta forgets about it most of the time usually going for his usual fun insults. 5/10

-Engineer only says it if he catches somebody about to destroy his sentry which is more often then not Spy but not really anytime else. 3/10

-Heavy has said vibe check once and it was after pushing Scouts face into a pile of mashed potatoes after begging Heavy to say it. 1/10

-Who knows if Pyro is saying it the muffled words that make it out of their suit sorta sound like Vibe check but it could also be anything else. ???/10

Fresh Sans

While Fresh sans has the energy and aesthetic of someone who would be an avatar of the Spiral I propose that he is actually an avatar of the Stranger since he is actually a virus thing that infects people to make them look like that

Like I'm pretty sure original Fresh sans lore was that Fresh was a parasite that infected sans or something anyway it's taking a person and changing them into something else which has ya know Stranger vibes

Some people seeing their friend take on the Fresh aesthetic like yea that seems normal probably just a phase trying something new out but then noticing just specific things about them that are inhuman or just so completely opposite to how the person was before that you start questioning if that person is still who you knew them as

Catra

Catra would be most likely pulled towards the Lonely since over and over again she is abandoned and she chooses to isolate herself from those that try to get close to her. She wants desperately to not be alone but until the last season she can't allow herself to actually let people in. 

I can physically imagine Catra being lost in the fog and Adora trying her hardest to find her because Catra might think she has control of the lonely but she does not.

So there are canon deaths and not canon deaths on the dsmp and I've always found it more interesting that deaths don't count if they aren't meaningful but they still happen. So the person doesn't know if they lost a canon life until they wake up again. If it was just a meaningless death like say fall damage you wake up a little sore but can shake it off after a short while. But if you wake up from a canon life loss it's agonizingly painful because it was meant to hurt it was meant to kill you so it does and so much more than one would expect since in real life you die you don't wake up to continue feeling the pain.

This kinda makes a few of the deaths on the dsmp complicated like Techno killing Tubbo after being ordered to and Bad accidentally hitting Skeppy into lava since those could have theoretically been avoided be simply killing without the desire to actually hurt those people. However I think there was still a enough negative, genuinely violent and angry emotions in those situations that could tip the balance enough towards canon death unlike say a play fight. Sure Techno's ill will was more towards the peer pressure and situation but it was still aimed at Tubbo and while Bad didn't want to kill Skeppy he was still punching him in anger.

Based on that I'd say that if Tommy had won the fight in the pit Techno would have lost a canon life because while Techno just wanted it to be over Tommy was furious about the situation and what Techno had done.

Now that my main explanation is over consider this you have this friend right you got a fun prank filled relationship friendly bullying and such everyone is having a good time or so you think. You get into a play battle or training session and you loose and wake up in agony with the sudden realization that your good friend doesn't see it mutually and fucking hates you. Someone along the line while you thought you were prank buddies they thought you were rivals or enemies. I think that would be pretty heartbreaking.

The Duke💞

Painting/artistic lover-friend thing

+ Has seen his handful of paintings but most of the ones he deals with are very old, antiques or paintings he didn’t get to witness the creation of. He thinks they are pretty sure, able to be sold at a nice price too but I don’t think he is too awfully big on them. Probably keeps a few in his home to liven the place up but probably isn’t attached to any painting in particular. Would be open to discuss the meaning of the painting sure that seems like something he would enjoy a lot wondering what the painter was thinking while they crafted their piece.

+ However it is a different experience altogether seeing a painting being created on the canvas in person. Seeing each calculated or heartfelt stroke of the brush forming the image. All the painting over old brushstrokes and adding the details just to change it into something else. He will frequently ask you why you decide to make specific decisions on a piece and whether it is a long explanation or simply that it feels right, he is amazed. 

+ Even if you aren’t a particularly good artist, watching you create is something he wouldn’t miss. From sketches of flowers, to recreations of items that only exist within your dreams each piece you create he will remember likely better than you will. He will remark upon an old image you created like it was a week ago and you will simply not remember it because it was months ago and a piece you weren’t particularly fond of or didn’t think was noteworthy. To him it was noteworthy.

+ Isn’t a fan of digital work it’s not that he doesn’t think it’s art he just has a preference for traditional art. (Karl would probably think digital art is cool might write him next) There is just something so different about how a painting/drawing/sketch feels holding it in your hand and seeing the lines, erase marks, texture and life that this piece went through to be created. 

+ If you are just getting into art he will be your biggest motivator. He has an excellent way of fitting helping criticism and compliments into something truly helpful. He is like this with any hobby you wish to pick up really he would never try to stifle your desires or artistic pulls.

+ Even if all you draw him is two stick figures holding hands he will have that hanging up on one of the doors to his wagon for the rest of time.

+ The main reason I started writing this is for this one. The Duke has never been drawn or painted before, he had never bothered to ask and pay someone to do it and no one has ever asked him if they could paint him. If you ask him if you can draw him or paint him he will be taken back frozen for a moment before replying with laughter and “I would love that actually.” He is the most confident man I know but being someone’s muse would make him feel so unbelievably loved and adored. If you gift him the piece afterwards it will instantly become his most treasured item. Absolutely priceless.

The Duke 💞

I am obsessed with The Duke he is just like the perfect man so have some affection headcanons

+ His primary love language is touch. You know that whole thing about how your primary love language is how you best like to receive love? Yea that. He is a very big man and loves every inch of himself but even the most confident man can only tolerate so many rude stares and remarks. So having a friend/partner hold him? Hold his hand? Hug him? Kiss? Rest their head on him? He is over the moon with joy and will return the favor ten fold. His favorites are ruffling your hair or just big hug, biggest hug, best hug. 

+ His secondary love language is gift giving but he can be a bit of a prick(affectionate) at times about it. Oh you want this hm yea sure but you’ll have to do this favor for me first :3c. This can range from a hug, to cleaning the horse stable, to doing a silly dance for his amusement, to making a delivery to one of the other lords for him. He means well and is just having good fun and would notice if you weren’t in a very good mood and just let you have the thing. I should mention some items are still only bought with coin, can’t just be giving all his treasures away. 

+ He will let you sleep on him and he will protect you until you wake up. Nothing will bother you under any circumstances. If his shop is still open for business his patrons will simply have to learn sign language so as not to risk waking you up with talk of deals. Is this headcanon just me desperately wanting to be held by this man? Maybe. His arms are the safest place on earth and I won’t take criticism.

+ He is very busy and while working he is mostly focused on getting things out to people and may forget you if you are sitting beside him but whenever you make a little noise like a gasp at a dramatic part of a book and he notices you his heart will be warmed that you are still there even if he can’t talk to you. He can appreciate the quality time even if he doesn’t always notice. 

+ Acts of service is probably one he does unconsciously like the work he does for the village. Getting everyone the things they need helping out the four lords he probably doesn’t even realize it’s a love language since he made it his job. Like he saw that people needed supplies from outside the village and quick transport of things all across the village and said yea I’ll do that :). Not knowing it was a show of love or at least care for everyone in the village. He is probably confused if you start doing tasks for him without expecting coins or gifts at first not knowing that helping him out is just a little way to show him you care. 

+ The Duke loves to pass out a compliment every now and then but it’s not a love language he expresses very often. The exception to this is if you come up to him expressing some self worth issues be it with skills, issues, life problems and you just need some support then he will dote on you until your tears of sadness turn into tears of joy and laughter. Taking compliments however he will oftentimes be a little snarky about replying with “Oh I know” but he still loves receiving them, always nice to have words to know you are appreciated and loved.
