Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 15: Truth Bullets for the 5th Trial
So I promised that next time I would share a list of truth bullets for the 5th trial in my fanfic. I had to watch the original class trial to make sure I would get everything I wanted. Keep in mind that some of these are the same truth bullets from the original game. And let me point out that my OC is named āDaisukeā. If Iām up for it, Iāll write a blog on what kind of a person he is.
Monokuma File 5 (Victim 1) - The victim is Kirumi Tojo, the Ultimate Maid. The victim was found lying on the ground in the hangar where the Exisals are stored. The only injuries are scars as if she was cut by some type of blade. The time of death is unknown. No other injuries were found.
Monokuma File 5 (Victim 2) - The victimās body is unknown, but based on the remaining survivors, the victim is presumed to be Kokichi Oma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader. The victimās right arm which has now been dismembered is the only remains of the victim. The remaining body is presumed to be crushed by the hydraulic press. Because the wires to the hydraulic press have been cut, the victim cannot be fully identified.
Hydraulic Press - The hydraulic pressā controls are a short distance away from the device itself. There are two buttons labeled āUpā and āDownā. It also features a safety function.
Safety Function - The hydraulic pressā safety function causes it to stop when its infrared sensor detects a living thing.
Kokichiās Arm - Kokichiās right arm was found dismembered next to the hydraulic press. The sleeve is still on which suggests that Kokichi had his shirt on when he was dismembered.
Blood Stained Katana - A bloody katana was found sitting next to the hydraulic press. The katana is not the same one from Korekiyoās research lab.
Hatchās Electronic Lock - The two Exisals at the scene of the crime. One was in storage with its cockpit closed. The other was in the middle of the hangar with its hatch open and its cockpit exposed. There is enough space in the cockpit for one person. There is an electronic lock on the hatch that only the Monokubs can open.
Electrobomb - When used, it scatters particles that interfere with electromagnetic waves, rendering electronic communication and sensors unusable. Lasts for about two hours and covers an area of about 50 yards. Each can only be used once. Of the three that were made, Kokichi had two and Maki had one.
Hangarās Front Shutter - It is protected by an electric barrier and if someone approaches it, an alarm will sound throughout the academy. The alarm can be disabled with the alarm remote. The control panel for the electric barrier is next to the shutter.
Used Electrohammer - Found on the ground near the three Exisals in the Cyber Courtyard. Electrohammers can disable any electronic device theyāre used on. However, they run out of power very quickly and a single use on an Exisal will completely drain an Electrohammer. After being drained, they require 24 hours of charging to be usable again.
Exisals Protecting Monokuma - The day before the body was discovered, the Exisals surrounding Monokuma in the courtyard were given commands to observe his movements via the remote control Kokichi had.
Kokichiās Disappearance - No one had seen Kokichi during the entire investigation or up until the start of the class trial.
Buzzsaws - Buzzsaws from Miuās research lab were found in the Exisal hangar. Some of them had a little bit of blood. When investigating Miuās research lab, the buzzsaws werenāt there. How did they move from Miuās research lab to the Exisal hangar?
Chain rope - A chain was found next to where Kirumiās body was found. The chain is long enough to be used as a rope.
Syringe - A syringe was found on the floor where Kirumiās body was found.
Small Empty Bottle - Found in the hangar next to the syringe. The label is stained with blood so the only visible word is āInsomniaā. The origin of this bottle is unknown.
Daisukeās Nightmare - Daisuke explains to Kaede about how Kirumi was executed in his nightmare. He notes that the position of how Kirumiās body was found is too similar to how her body was by the end of her execution. (Note: He has this nightmare in the Chapter 2 Prelude, itās not to be confused with the other nightmare I wrote a few blogs ago)
Killing Game Script - A copy of the script of how the killing game was planned to have been written. It is written that Kokichi was scripted to be the 5th victim and Kaito was his killer. It is also written that Kirumi was scripted to be the 2nd culprit and Ryoma was her target. The script even confirms that what Daisuke saw in his nightmare is how Kirumi was scripted to be executed.
Murder Video - A video shot with a camera from the unknown person in the Exisal. It shows the moment Kirumi, not Kokichi, was crushed by the hydraulic press. But with Kirumiās body found, and the person claiming the video was not edited, how did Kirumi and Kokichi switch places before the hydraulic press crushed the victim? Another thing to note is that Kirumiās dress is not torn in the video, nor does she have any scars.
Give me some time to try and figure out where all the pieces of this puzzle belong.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 14
So yeah, a big twist I wanted was to use a murder that resembles the original executions. Kirumi is lying on the ground, her dress is torn-up and has scars all over her. The Deadly Life starts off with my OC on his knees crying as they were too late to save Kirumi. But what about Kokichi? Well, they soon notice that next to Kirumi isā¦
A crushed body under the hydraulic press. And if that wasnāt enough, Kokichiās right arm is on the ground dismembered.
Yep, Kokichi dies the same way he dies in the original game, only this time his right arm has been dismembered. And this time, there are two people sharing the role of the 5th victim, so they have to solve two murders again. Of course, since the wires to the hydraulic press have been cut like before, the group canāt determine if it really is Kokichi.
Now, as soon as Monokuma shows up to present the Monokuma File, my OC snaps and tries to attack Monokuma. He freaks out shouting that he wants Monokuma to kill him as he refuses to play the killing game now that Kirumi is gone. Now, Monokuma couldāve killed him, but he becomes generous and teases him that there is a chance āsomeoneā is still alive. It gives an OC an idea that there might be a twist that Kirumi is still alive and found a way to fake her death (or it could be Kokichi).
Now Iām gonna have to come up with what truth bullets I wanted to use for this case.

So I feel like sharing this because I'm assuming no one else has.
Kaito's 4th free time event has him sharing who his past sidekicks are. Three of them sound like he's referring to characters from the first two games.
Leon Kuwata
Kazuichi Soda?
Sayaka Maizono
Either Kaito is trying to call back on these characters, or if it's true that Danganronpa turned into a series lasting for 53 seasons, they could be different characters from seasons 4 through 52.
But the most interesting one to me is that he mentions the "current" prime minister.
However, after the 2nd trial, he is shock to find out that the "current" prime minister is Kirumi.
Now why would Kaito remember the prime minister being one of his past sidekicks if he didn't know Kirumi was the "current" prime minister? Was the "current" prime minister the one who served before Kirumi?

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 13
So after waking up from having another nightmare, my OC suspects why he would have a nightmare even though he didnāt do another Class Trial. But he panics that something may have happened to Kirumi since Kokichi has her locked up. My OC gets out of bed (letās say after midnight) and tries to run out of the dormitory. However, Maki enters the dormitory at the same time.
Maki questions why my OC is in a hurry so late at night. He tells her about the nightmare about Kirumi being executed and thinks something bad is about to happen if he doesnāt save Kirumi. Maki begins to think that my OC truly cares about Kirumi, but tells him that tomorrow morning is when everyone will save her.
I wanted a scene where Maki helps my OC go back to sleep. The scene has my OC in bed and Maki is sitting next to him and is gonna sing him a lullaby.
Yes, a lullaby. Of course, I have no idea what kind of a song Maki would sing (Iām not a songwriter) but thatās literally what I wanted to do. Plus, Maki singing a lullaby would show off Makiās talent as, not the Ultimate Assassin, but the Ultimate Child Caregiver.
I guess you can say when the next morning starts, my OC begins to think that maybe Maki isnāt an assassin. Since theyāve figured out that their character backstories are all lies (or something like that) he starts to think that maybe Makiās motive video that he secretly watched could be a lie too.
Anyways, the morning scene plays out similar to the original game. The ones with the electrohammers ready to fight are my OC, Maki, Kaede, Tenko and Ryoma, ready to save Kirumi from Kokichi. However, once they make it to the Exisal hanger, instead of finding a body crushed by the hydraulic pressā¦
Kirumi is lying dead the same way she died in her execution. The Daily Life ends with everyone seeing Kirumi as the 5th victim.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 12
So on the night before they all head for the Exisal hanger, I wanted to include another nightmare scene. Normally, these only appear as the prelude of each Chapter, but this one is special.
My OC has another nightmare about Kirumiās execution.
However, this time, after Kirumi starts running away, my OC runs after her. I like to imagine this scene animated in the same way the executions are animated. As soon as Kirumi sees the vine rope sheās meant to climb, my OC tackles her to the ground.
I like to imagine that the music just slows down and ends as soon as this happens, because he immediately stopped Kirumi from dying like how she was meant to. But then they get back up and head for the elevator, howeverā¦
The elevator extends into a hallway and out of the walls and floor are deadly traps.
Not just the spinning blades like in Kirumiās execution, but also flamethrowers. My OC knows that thereās no way theyāll be able to survive that. He turns his head to see another hallway with a door at the end. He takes Kirumiās hand and they run towards this other hallway.
I had an idea for a scene where as theyāre running, the floor begins to crumble and it looks as if Kirumi is about to fall. My OC turns around, leaps and catches her before falling into an abyss. I think I wanted my OC to reach out his hand and tell her, āIām not gonna let you go!ā
After saving Kirumi, they look at the other side of the floor thatās gone and notice Monokuma carrying a hunting rifle. They quickly get up and run towards the door knowing that Monokuma is gonna shoot them. But when they make it to the doorā¦
On the other side is just a brick wall. Theyāre trapped. Desperate, my OC starts punching the brick wall thinking that itāll crumble, but he doesnāt notice Monokuma aiming at them. Only itās not Kirumi heās aiming for, but my OC. Basically, Monokuma is using my OC to lure out Kirumi. Once Kirumi pushes my OC out of the wayā¦
Monokuma shoots Kirumi in the heart and head.
Once Monokuma turns around and leaves, my OC is shocked to discover Kirumi laying dead in front of him. I had an interesting idea that Monokuma shot Kirumi where the cobweb on her chest is, as sort of a hint that Kirumiās heart is on her right and not her left, that way it can look like Kirumiās cobwebs arenāt really cobwebs but are more like bullet holes.
The scene ends similarly to the Chapter 2 Prelude where my OC holds Kirumi in his arms crying, feeling upset that he wasnāt able to save Kirumi from her fate.

Why I Don't Like the Gold Third
This isnāt a rant or anything, but itās one of those opinion blogs about why I donāt like this one thing. This time, Iām gonna talk about the Gold Third from the Neptunia series and why I donāt like them.
I just found out that the Gold Third will be returning for Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution and suddenly Iāve lost all interest in wanting to try the game out. Literally, these characters are the one reason I probably wonāt play it. Part of the reason is because I simply donāt like their games, specifically C-Sha and S-Sha, but also because some of them, specifically B-Sha, are just too confusing because I donāt quite understand what game publishers they represent, but itās just B-Sha, the other three I already know.
Who is B-Sha really?
Is B-Sha supposed to represent Bandai Namco? Let me clarify that Bandai is the toy company owned by Toei, the anime studio best known for anime seriesā like DragonBall, Sailor Moon, Gundam, Digimon, Naruto and One Piece, as well as the studio that does the live-action series Super Sentai (or itās Americanized version the Power Rangers). Bandai pretty much also does video games based on Toei anime. By the mid 2000s, Bandai ended up joining with Namco, the publishers best known for games like Pac-Man, Tekken, the Tales Of series, Ridge Racer, Time Crisis, Soul Calibur, Katamari, Dark Souls and Idolm@ster.
Iāll get to the point, I think it makes better sense if B-Sha was instead named āN-Shaā. That way, she can represent Namco instead of Bandai. Now that I have a better look at her, that thumbs-up pose does make her look like Pac-Man, the official mascot for Namco. But Iāve read that her interests include toys, robots and superheroes, are these all references to Gundam and Super Sentai? I just feel like Namco would be a much superior gaming publisher then Bandai. If B-Sha was named N-Sha, it would be much cooler to see her make MORE references to some of Namcoās best games like Pac-Man and Tekken. Thatās just my opinion.
I never did think C-Sha and S-Sha were cool.
In C-Shaās case, at the time Megadimension Neptunia came out, I was fed up from having to see Capcom take all the glory since the early to mid 2010s. I was annoyed by things likeā¦
The live-action Resident Evil film series.
Resident Evil 6 and the seriesā bad spinoffs.
Street Fighter getting more praise than my favorite fighting games.
Mega Man being a fan favorite in Super Smash Bros.
Akumaās appearance in Tekken 7.
Ace Attorney getting special editions for the 3DS and the original games being ported to the PS4. Like, how many more ports are they gonna keep making?
The popularity of Monster Hunter. Seriously, I never understood the hype about that series.
It was enough to make me want to not play Capcom games and instead boycott them. Doing this meant that I had to quit playing Devil May Cry which was the ONLY Capcom game Iāve ever appreciated. It was just annoying to see people think of Capcom as number 1 but I had the opposite opinion and thought Capcom was just sold out. Even to this day, Iām still not over it.
As for S-Sha, well, Iād rather not get into too much detail as to why Iām not into Square Enix games, but the constant popularity of games like Final Fantasy was just too annoying for me to handle, simply because I was bad at Final Fantasy and thought that itās popularity as the number 1 game series was more like peer pressure. And having to hear S-Sha say āIām not interestedā that one line Cloud had in that CG movie Advent Children is not really funny. Like, why did they have to make it sound cliche?
K-Sha is probably the only one I thought was good enough for my tastes.
I got nothing against Konami and I donāt mind the Metal Gear references K-Sha makes. But after learning about the shady stuff the companyās been doing for the last decade, it made me think that maybe K-Sha shouldāve made those kinds of references. Here's what I think.
Since the early to mid 2010s, Konami has had a lack of interest in wanting to keep making big AAA (triple A) games and instead showed interest in wanting to make cheap mobile games, the kind of games that involve either microtransactions or gacha mechanics. However, games designers like Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima didnāt like this shift, so what did Konami do about it? Fire Kojima as soon as he was done with Metal Gear Solid 5. I had an idea for a joke that K-Sha shouldāve appeared in Sisters VS Sisters and befriend Maho, whose favorite games are mobile gacha games, and that K-Sha had a close friend important to her, but fired her because her friend wasnāt into mobile gacha games.
Likewise, I feel like I wouldāve liked K-Sha more if she made more then just Metal Gear references and made MORE references to some of Konamiās other great games like Frogger, Castlevania, Contra, Silent Hill, Dance Dance Revolution, Zone of the Enders, they could even have her make Yu-Gi-Oh references if they wanted. Or better yet, they should have K-Sha marry Peashy or Yellow Heart, that way, their new marriage can be a reference to Konamiās acquisition of Hudson games like Bomberman.
Who is F-Sha?
So I just ended up learning that Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution has a new character to the series, calling themselves F-Sha. I literally have no idea who this character represents. She dresses like a knight in silver, but the name or design doesnāt give me any idea as to what sort of game publisher sheās named after. Like, what company in the gaming world do I know that starts with the letter āFā? Odds are, itās probably a Japanese publisher that does Japanese RPGs Iām not familiar with, you know, because Iām a Westerner and I donāt normally play RPGs. I could just look it up on the fan wiki, but I donāt think Iām gonna like this character based on the other members of the Gold Third.
If Neptunia really wanted to impress me with the Gold Third, they couldāve included members that are based on other kinds of game publishers. Like, I would love it if there was a member called āU-Shaā who would represent Ubisoft. But of course, Ubisoft is based in Canada, not Japan, so they canāt do that. Heck, I had an idea for a joke that K-Sha is married to someone called āT-Shaā and the two of them represent Koei Tecmo and this is to reference Koeiās joining with Tecmo. And as I mentioned, it makes better sense if B-Sha was named N-Sha and should instead reference Namco instead of Bandai, otherwise, you can make a joke saying that B-Sha actually represents Bethesda (I hope thatās how I spelled it).
In Conclusion
Overall, if I had to name the worst Neptunia characters, it would be the Gold Third. I realize that the reasons I donāt like them is simply becauseā¦
In C-Sha and S-Shaās case, I donāt like their games.
I think B-Sha shouldāve been named N-Sha and have her represent Namco instead of Bandai.
They shouldāve had more members, like a member called U-Sha named after Ubisoft.
I donāt want to say Iām not excited about this new Neptunia game, but depending on what gaming references this one makes, I probably wonāt be that interested if this one makes references to games Iām not entirely big on. And it's worse because the Gold Third is making a return. But sooner or later, Iām probably gonna have to suck it up and deal with it.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 11
So after Maki shows everyone the fake prologue that they all forgot, my OC tries to sneak into the Exisal hanger to see where Kirumi is being kept. The scene would narrate in the same way Shuichi tries to sneak into the Exisal hanger to find Kaito.
At any rate, he finds Kirumi in the bathroom window and the scene plays out similar to the conversation Shuichi and Kaito had. Just like how Kaito was kept locked up, Kokichi has Kirumi locked up because of his plans for when the 5th murder takes place.
I guess Kirumi would be feeling depressed about learning the truth and starts to question the kind of person she is. My OC would try to cheer her up by telling her the chances that sheās still Kirumi Tojo even before they were kidnapped. But then Kirumi would still feel questionable, thinking that maybe she isnāt happy about the kind of person she is. I donāt knowā¦
But I did have an idea for a scene where my OC tells Kirumi not to give up and that he āneedsā her. Kirumi is a little surprised by how he feels.
You know that scene in Future Arc where Kyoko takes her glove off and holds Makotoās hand? I wanted the same thing where Kirumi takes her gloves off and holds my OCās hands through the window.
She tells him that there's things she hasnāt said to him that sheāll promise sheāll share once they find a way to escape. My OC is surprised by seeing how perfectly clean Kirumiās hands are compared to the scars Kyoko has.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 10
So because the Gofer Project is not included in my fanfic, I needed to find a way for everyone to overcome the despair of learning the truth, that they used to be ordinary people but became fictional characters for the sake of entertainment.
The scene I had in mind was that Maki takes everyone (i.e. My OC, Kaede, Ryoma and Tenko) to the room that makes the Flashback Lights and explains how theyāre made.
Maki then tells them that thereās a way to reverse engineer the Flashback Lights by restoring the userās original memories.
Because everyone was so depressed about what Kokichi showed to everyone, Maki is the only one capable of finding the real truth that Kokichi never explained. Once they make the Flashback Light that does so...
They end up remembering the Prologue where everyone is in their pregame selves.
That was one idea. The other idea was that Maki would take everyone to the A/V Room and watch a video. The video is the Prologue where everyone is in their pregame selves. At any rate, they realize that everyone has the same names and personalities that they have, they werenāt different people when they were kidnapped. They then get an idea that their talents and hobbies are the same as they were in their pregame selves. This gives them the hope and confidence to understand that even though theyāre fictional characters, they didnāt change who they were. They get an idea that Team Danganronpa really did kidnap them, alter their memories and gave them fictional backstories.
There is a twist to this. Out of everyone, my OC is not included in the recovered memory because he wasnāt present in the fake Prologue. I wrote that he was a late arrival, as in, the Monokubs made another mistake and tried to start the killing game with only 15 students. They realize that the killing game needs a 16th student and they have to kidnap another one.
You see, thereās a reason I wanted them to remember the fake Prologue. Thereās a theory in the fandom that suggests that Tsumugi was lying to everyone when she said they all auditioned, because the fake Prologue clearly contradicts the audition videos. Thereās also a theory that claims that Tsumugi was lying about Danganronpa turning into a TV series lasting for 53 seasons. I wanted my fanfic to try and solve the mystery about that, but itās much bigger than that.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 9
So letās jump ahead to when they arrive at the gym the night they plan to break through the Death Road of Despair. Kokichi explains to the group that he needed Kirumiās help in making all of the gadgets Miu invented for him. Since I killed off Miu in Chapter 2, Kokichi resorts to getting Kirumi to invent the electrobombs and electrohammers. Kirumi explains that she was helping Kokichi on certain nights and thought that what Kokichi was planning to do wasnāt for the sake of murder.
Now for the good stuff. After they break through the Death Road, they arrive at the door to the outside. My OC gets anxious out of concern that his nightmare might come true and the outside world is a post-apocalyptic Earth. But to everyoneās surprise...
The outside isnāt a post-apocalyptic Earth, itās a backstage.
You know, like those backstages sets usually have? Confused at first, the group then notices another door in the backstage, but the door is jammed and canāt be opened by any means necessary, even the electrohammers have no effect. Thatās when Kokichi shows up to explain the truth to everyone. Instead of telling everyone that the Earth was destroyedā¦
Kokichi tells them that the killing game is a TV series!
Basically, Kokichi tells them everything Tsumugi said to everyone in the final trial in the original game, that the killing game is a TV series that is part of the Danganronpa franchise, the Flashback Lights are all lies and that everyone has audition videos that shows who they really are.
Now, there are several different ways I couldāve narrated this. I ended up writing that everyone thinks The Tragedy really happened and that Danganronpa is based on true events, but that was so that my OC could figure out Tsumugiās plan to trick everyone into thinking sheās Junko, my OC points out that Tsumugi is cosplaying as the fictional Junko from Danganronpa and not the real one.
For this scene, one idea was to have Kokichi explain that after The Tragedy, when the world began to recover, a company calling themselves Team Danganronpa decided to make the video game Danganronpa, a video game based on the Hopeās Peak killing game, but the characters are fictional versions of the people who were in the real killing game. Upon its success, they decided to expand the series by turning it into a reality TV series. They basically ākidnapā people who want to participate in the killing game and then brainwash them into thinking theyāre fictional characters and that theyāre Ultimate Students. Kokichi even explains that the show has lasted for over 53 seasons, but most seasons between seasons 4 and 52 were just video game parodies (i.e. Final Danganronpa 5 parodies Final Fantasy, Shin Danganronpa 7 parodies Shin Megami Tensei). Season 53 was written to call back on the Hope's Peak saga.
The other idea was that Kokichi tells them the same thing, except that he explains that The Tragedy didnāt happen and that the idea of Danganronpa being based on true events was a lie my OC invented. You know, because Kokichi can easily tell when someone is lying? However, my OC argues that he didnāt know about this and that he was most likely given a Flashback Light into thinking The Tragedy really happened.
Now one thing I wanted to include was for Kokichi to show to everyone the original script for the killing game. He explains that the script details the order of character deaths, but my OC ended up changing the death order because he was able to figure out Tsumugiās plan to kill Rantaro and frame Kaede. This caused Team Danganronpa to rewrite the script and scrap the original script, as in, they had to scrap the Gofer Project storyline.
Now for the confusing part. Kokichi explains that he was scripted to be the 5th victim and is determined to keep things as is. However, Kaito, who was scripted to be his killer, is already dead, so Kokichi decides to turn to Kirumi. The scene where Kokichi originally kidnaps Kaito turns into a scene where Kokichi uses the Exisals to capture and kidnap Kirumi, locking her up in the Exisal hanger. He explains that he doesnāt want my OC to interfere with his plans and wants to get back at him. Something like that. The confusing part about this is that it would contradict Kokichiās real plans to expose the true mastermind and end the killing game. I guess you can say Kokichi sort of lost his mind when he discovered the truth about the killing game being a TV series. When I write the later parts, Iāll try to explain what his plans were.
With everyone suffering from the despair of learning who they really are, that theyāre just ordinary people with no real talents and with different names and personalities, they donāt have the hope to stop Kokichi and save Kirumi.

I don't get why no one ships Fuyuhiko and Akane
I mean, it's pretty obvious why. There are better people they could be shipped with (i.e. Peko, Nekomaru) that and Akane is highly underrated. But there was a scene in Chapter 4 where Fuyuhiko is explaining to Akane about moving on after losing someone, because to Fuyuhiko, seeing Akane lose Nekomaru was no different from him losing Peko. However, Akane wasn't paying attention and starts to think that Fuyuhiko was instead hitting on her.
I've seen little content of fans ship these two, to the point where the shipping wiki doesn't have a name or article about this ship. If such a ship was popular, what would it be called? Kuzuwari? Fuyukane?
Anyways, I just felt like sharing this piece of info.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 8
The title for Chapter 5.
Punishment; Thy Name is Danganronpa
It starts off the same as before. They discover new locations such as the Exisal hanger. However, because Kaito and Rantaro are dead, theyāre lab rooms are locked. I will say that theyāll eventually break into their lab rooms in Chapter 6, but having to think about what theyāll find in Kaitoās lab might be tough.
In the original game, they donāt get a Flashback LIght after finding the new locations in Chapter 5. For my fanfic, I wanted to give them another Flashback Light. Now, the Flashback Lights are different in my fanfic, they donāt make any mention of the Ultimate Hunt, the meteorites or the Gofer Project. They instead get happy memories of their school years at Hopeās Peak Academy.
For this Flashback Light, they get a memory of taking a group photo together.
I wanted Mahiru Koizumi to appear in this scene, being the one to take the photo, but I wanted to make it look like Mahiru is now one of the teachers at the school and is also one of the teachers for the V3 cast. It would actually make for a great headcanon if the SDR2 cast were to appear as the new teachers of the newly built Hopeās Peak Academy after The Tragedy.
I never really had any ideas as to what scenes to use before Kokichi shows up. I guess with Kaito dead, Ryoma decides to do training stuff with Maki. I think I wanted to include a scene where Kaede, Kirumi, Tenko and my OC join in since theyāre the only remaining survivors. Most of the interesting stuff in Chapter 5 wonāt be until they meet Kokichi again, so Iāll save that for another time.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 7
In my fanfic, the Chapters always start off with a prelude, in which I narrate a scene from the original game and halfway through, my OC ends up taking Shuichiās place and the scene is narrated from his point of view. Towards the end, my OC wakes up in his room to reveal that the scene was a nightmare he had. This is the title I had in mind for the Chapter 5 Prelude.
Despair in the Face of Despair
The scene starts off with Shuichi, Maki, Himiko, Tsumugi, Keebo and Kaito all opening the door to the outside world which to their surprise is now a post-apocalyptic Earth. Kokichi wakes them up and tells them the āoutside worldā in the V3 universe. Meteorites carrying a deadly virus kill all humans, the government secretly starts the Gofer Project to send the Ultimate Students into space, blah blah blah blah blahā¦
At which point, Shuichi warps away and becomes my OC and he starts to feel the despair everyone else is facing. Normally, this is where Kokichi would kidnap Kaito, but my OC starts living in denial about what happened to the outside world and runs away.
After running away, the scene has my OC in Kirumiās lab talking to himself, but itās more like heās talking to Kirumi in spirit. He tells her about the outside world being destroyed and notes that Kirumi shouldāve been there with everyone to see the despair they all suffered. Whatās the relationship between my OC and Kirumi? Iāll explain in due time.
Anyway, the scene ends with my OC waking up at the moment he says āI miss you Kiā¦ā and he questions himself if he was gonna say Kirumiās name.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 6
So after the 4th execution, they all go back to the surface and when they arrive at the dormitory, they find Kaito trying to make his way to the group. Basically, Kaito left the nurseās office still weak and is dying at an even faster rate. Iāll just cut to the chaseā¦
Kaito dies in my OCās arms.
Yes, he dies of his illness in Chapter 4, not 5. Before his death, Kaito tells my OC that he didnāt need my OC for a sidekick as Kaito thought my OC was already confident enough to believe in himself, something like that. In my fanfic, my OC is always worried about Kirumi, and I guess Kaito states that he was proud of my OC for always looking out for her and the others. In my fanfic, I wrote that my OC hugged Kaede as she cried after witnessing Tsumugiās execution, and when Kaito tried to yell at everyone, my OC yelled back, causing Kaito to apologize. Also, my fanfic has Kaito looking out for Ryoma to do all the training he originally gave to Shuichi, which is why he wanted to help Ryoma more than help my OC.
But yeah, having a death that is neither a murder or execution was something else I thought would be interesting. After Kaito dies, Monokuma pops ups saying heāll take care of getting rid of the body, but my OC yells at him saying that he doesnāt want to treat Kaitoās body like trash since V3 doesnāt have anything for storing the bodies.
My OC then suggests that they bury Kaito in the Earth and give him a proper grave.
Kirumi goes to the warehouse for some shovels and they start digging a grave for Kaito.
I think after burying Kaito, I wouldāve included a scene where my OC or someone else gives a speech about never giving up and never forgetting Kaito and the others that have died. After the speech, I wanted to include the scene where...
Kokichi snaps and starts to betray the group.
Basically, just as Kokichi acted like an asshole after Gontaās death, he starts acting like an asshole after Kaito is buried.
But I think I wanted this scene to involve Kokichi being mad at my OC for always getting in his way. Like, Kokichi wants to end or āwinā the killing game but my OC is always in the way and Kokichi wants to get back at him.
I donāt know, with Kokichi being a total liar, it wouldāve been difficult to determine what I wanted to do with him. The thing I had in mind for him in Chapter 5 is much more interesting which Iāll explain in due time.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 5
So they determined that the two victims, Keebo and Korekiyo, killed each other. But thereās a problem. The rules say only one person can be the blackened, they canāt vote for two people. Thatās when they realize something about Keeboās death. As I said, Keebo got attacked by Korekiyo, but he died while logged in to the Virtual World via self-destruct. So what does self-destruct mean for a robot?
Keebo killed himself!
Yes, thatās another twist with this case. The two victims didnāt kill each other, Keebo killed them both, Korekiyo and himself. He used his laser arm to kill Korekiyo by blasting him away and Korekiyo was unsuccessful in finishing off Keebo. Wounded, Keebo realized what had happened in the real world and tried to kill himself in the Virtual World. As I said, if Keebo self-destructed in the real world, the explosion wouldāve destroyed the computer room and everyone in it. To keep everyone alive, Keebo uses his self-destruct in the Virtual World. With this new theory, everyone casts their votes and everyone votes for Keebo. And the vote confirms that...
Keebo is the 4th blackened.
But because both Keebo and Korekiyo are dead, theyāre stuck at figuring out what their motives were. Thatās when my OC takes out from his pocket the flashdrive Keebo gave back to him. It lights up as a sign that now's the time to see whatās on it. And on the flashdrive is a video Keebo left.
Basically, I wanted to narrate this scene in a similar way to the post-4th trial in DR1 where Monokuma reads to everyone Sakuraās suicide note. Now, Iād rather not say the video is Keeboās suicide note, but the video has Keebo explaining that after he decrypted what was originally on the flashdrive, he deleted it because he doesnāt want everyone to know the truth that he learned on it. I guess you can say the flashdrive explains the truth about the killing game and Keebo wanted to protect everyone from knowing that truth or something.
Korekiyoās motive was a tough one. My original idea was for his sister to come back to life in Kiyoās body and explain to everyone during the trial that Kiyo wanted revenge for not killing Tenko. Of course, I had to scrap this idea since I ended up writing that Angie did some spiritual thing to cause Kiyoās sister to leave his body, setting him free. But it turns out that even with his sister gone, Korekiyo was unable to change.
The reason I chose Keebo to be his target has to do with the idea I had in mind for how Keebo would specially log in to the Virtual World. Korekiyo saw him as an easy target and I guess since Keebo was showing off his new robot equipmentā¦ I donāt know, it was a work in progress, and I donāt think Iām gonna come up with something to make it work out. If I could come up with something good, Iād say Keebo was suspicious that Korekiyo would commit murder again even though, in my fanfic, he failed to kill Tenko, and Keebo was willing to sacrifice himself to stop Kiyo.
But thereās a reason I thought it was fitting to kill-off Keebo in Chapter 4. It felt like I was calling back to the murders from the first two games, the murders of Sakura and Nekomaru. Sakura from the fact that she died from suicide and in my fanfic they determine that Keebo committed suicide, and Nekomaru from the fact he turned into a robot in Chapter 4 and Keebo is the Ultimate Robot. But another reason has to do with Miu being the original 4th victim, and if you ship Keebo x Miu, it just feels so fitting to have Keebo die in Miuās place.
Now you might be thinking, āWait, if Keeboās dead, does that mean thereās not gonna be an execution?ā Wrong! Just like in DR1, Monokuma uses a substitute for his execution that he doesnāt want to waste. Basicallyā¦
The Monokubs get executed!
In my fanfic, the Monokubs donāt die, but I felt like killing them off in the 4th execution. Monokuma gets pissed off from the fact that they didnāt die in the previous executions and decides to have them die in Keeboās place.
I donāt really have any good details on how the execution plays out or even a good name for it. Thereās an unused execution for Keebo entitled, āGarbage Collection Day'' which involves Keebo being eaten by a garbage truck with teeth, I guess. For my idea, I wanted his execution to involve getting smashed up into a cube shape and then dropped into a pool of hot molten metal and melted into nothing. I guess I could let the Monokubs die like that instead.
But this isnāt the end of Chapter 4, still more to come.

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 4
So now weāre at the class trial. Who killed Keebo and Korekiyo?
If I could, Iād explain all the truth bullets that would lead to the culprit. I guess most of them, but not all, would be similar to the truth bullets when Miu was killed. But this was probably the hardest murder since itās slightly different from the original game. So Iāll do my best to explain the details.
They determine that Keebo died in the Virtual World. I wrote that he dies via self-destruct, like that explosion he did at the end of the original game. If he self-destructed in the real world, the explosion wouldāve destroyed the computer room along with everyone in it. I had an idea for a scene where Kokichi blames my OC for killing Keebo, tricking everyone into thinking my OC killed Keebo via KO. But my OC points out that Keebo won the match and my OC wasnāt able to get a single hit on him. But I also wrote that in the real world, Keeboās chest was bleeding and his left arm was dismembered, meaning that someone in the real world attacked him while Keebo was logged in. Now, halfway through the trial, I had an idea for a scene where...
Kaito starts vomiting blood during the trial.
He faints, causing Maki who was worried, to get out of her seat and help him up. Kaito is now too sick and weak to continue the trial. In response...
Monokuma sends in Doctor Killgood from SDR2 to send Kaito to the nurseās office.
I literally wanted him to bring in the ambulance and say the same thing from SDR2, something like, āWe gotta get this patient to the Monokuma Hospital ER and get him under 24 hour observation, stat!ā With Kaito no longer taking part in the trial, I think I wanted a scene where the students start to suspect Kaito. They probably wouldāve thought that he faked his sickness just so he could not be part of the trial.
Now letās talk about Korekiyoās death. I wrote that his chest and belly suffered from something like third-degree burns. What couldāve caused that? I guess I might as well reveal Korekiyoās culprit.
It was Keebo!
My OC thinks back to the laser arm Keebo equipped. He realized that that was one of Keeboās special moves in the Virtual World fighting game. They determine that thatās the closest thing to being the murder weapon that killed Korekiyo. Keebo used his laser arm to blast Korekiyo across the room, smashing the door leading to the hallway. The blast was strong enough to kill someone like Korekiyo.
Now that just leaves Keebo, who killed him? Iāll reveal the answer now if I made it look a little obvious.
It was Korekiyo!
They determine that Korekiyo had special moves that involved using his arm to thrust towards the opponent's chest and also something like a karate-chop move. After Kaito logged out, Korekiyo logged out but didnāt kill Keebo immediately. Maki then logged out and states in the trial that she witnessed Korekiyo in the hallway practicing the moves he learned in the Virtual World fighting game. Maki then hides in a locker (yes, a locker) to wait for what happens next.
Korekiyo then steps back into the computer room. He decides to use his new moves to commit a murder. And who does he kill? Keebo! He uses a karate-chop to dismember Keeboās arm and then thrusted his arm at Keeboās chest. This causes Keeboās avatar in the Virtual World to malfunction, making him go haywire. Keeboās brain has difficulties determining whatās real and whatās not, but he gets an idea that someone in the real world is attacking him. In the Virtual World, he uses his laser arm as part of his avatar for the fighting game, but this causes his real body to do the same thing. He blasts his laser arm at Korekiyo, killing him. This is a kind of case Danganronpa has never attempted.
They determine that the victims killed each other.
But wait, thereās more to this case then you may think. Tune in next time.
