I just know Shanks thinks about Buggy every time it rains and he always gets in a very weird mood about it. He tells everyone it's because he's just a summer person. He prefers the sun. The light. Hot weather. But it's just that with each drop of rain, he always hears Buggy's footsteps and voice getting away from him, and it kills him.

Pudding is a character I really like. Essentially, she's a teenager with terrible self-esteem, dealing with an abusive mother whom she desperately wants to please, even if it means behaving poorly. Suddenly, after years of feeling rejected and unattractive, a handsome guy comes along who treats her well. However, she can't trust him because everyone around her has treated her poorly, and to complicate matters, he turns out to be her enemy. Despite her attempts to harm him, he genuinely cares for her and finds her beautiful. Pudding realizes that everything she believed wasn't what it seemed, and she strives to be a better person for him, even though she lacks guidance. Hating her for not being perfect from the start is absurd, given her complex character. Those who dislike Pudding are, frankly, misogynistic, projecting their hatred onto women. She's my baby, and I'll always defend her, just like Sansa Stark makes me protective of characters like Charlotte Pudding. Enough with hating women for not being girl bosses or epitomes of virginal fragility. Let women have flaws, mental health issues, and traumas they struggle with.

the way the OP Fandom treats charlotte pudding is so weird bcus like out of all the characters you're not gunna accept a redemption from it's the emotionally abused girl who was mean to a man she just met that was also her enemy? who had a history of people not being sincere in their kindness to her?? who right away tries to make up for her actions without expecting anything from anyone?? that still thinks she's a bad person by the end of the arc!? like damn I guess 😒

I think constantly about Pudding and Sanji being obviously parallels of each other and how fucked up it is that Pudding had to live the life Sanji managed to escape but she constantly gets hate online as if she hadn't been literally manipulated by her mother through the whole fucking arc. But okay. Yes. God forbid women have any sort of trauma response and if they do they're not allowed to have a redemption arc because of course they're extremely evil for making your silly baby boy cry and they don't have a heart even though it's explicitly shown in screen that they do and they regret their past actions.

Can you believe this little thing felt like he was his best friend's shadow and gave up on his dream because Shanks shone brighter than him? Can you believe he spent his childhood staring at his best friend from a distance because he thought he couldn't reach the stars by himself?
