“Solas had had many women in his youth, but none were quite like Bloom. They wanted his knowledge or used him for a fling, and he wouldn’t lie and say he didn’t use them for that as well. It was simple pleasure, almost like an exchange to him. However, it was different now with her. When they first met, he judged her unfairly. She mentioned she was Dalish when she and her brother were young, so his mind made an image of them already. When they argued, she was passionate when defending her family, yet not like he thought she’d be. She accepted his criticism, even agreed that some flaws of the clans were true, but still argued and defended them.

And then what surprised him even more was that despite her background raising, neither twin believed in the elven gods, not like their kin. They believed in the Maker, and unlike the others, they were open minded and despite their arguments about life and their snide comments about religion, Bloom never forced it on him. She never asked about his faith over and over again, nor tried to convince him her Maker was true. She only spoke what she believed and let him have his belief. It was a breath of fresh air from the others around them, workers of the chantry or not.

She was fair and sweet, but he could sense an anger underneath everything. It simmered and only her brother could really calm her. He remembered her anger in Haven, especially when she spoke to Templars or people that doubted her choices. And the Chantry, they always found a way to hit a nerve.”

Stray Dreadwolf thought: when we do Hushed Whispers we saw a world where the Veil is torn up but red lyrium is everywhere. I can’t imagine Solas wanting to tear down the Veil only to have to deal with the Blight and possibly red lyrium again. So what if part of the plot of DAD is to help him get rid of both?
