YES!! happy spoopy month everybody this has been in my drafts all months waiting for the 1st to post it and alas here it is ! enjoy

richie and eddie have gone in couple costumes pretty much every year since they were 13. some highlights include batman and robin, spiderman and mj and very recently, when they couldn’t be bothered to set up a costume but were invited out last minute, they were a werewolf and a vampire. they got bullied for it, sure, but their friends and family think it’s completely adorable, especially richie’s parents who have a whole photo album full of richie and eddie’s matching halloween costumes from over the years

of course, sometimes the losers decide to do a group costume together, which means richie and eddie can still match but also include their friends. theyve gone as the classic ghostbusters, the scooby doo gang (richie dressed up as scooby doo, obviously) and once bev convinced them all to do a rocky horror themed group costume. they had richie as frank, mike as rocky and even managed to get stan to play a very unenthusiastic brad. it went down a treat and richie got bev to take photos of him posing in his costume (like imagine him dressed like this, it’s literally so perfect)

the losers go trick or treating as long as is physically possible. which is pretty hard in richie’s case when at age 14 he gets his first growth spurt and seemingly grows a foot over night. but it’s alright because he simply throws a white sheet over eddie’s head, who is significantly shorter than him, and takes him out trick or treating pretending that eddie is his little brother. usually moms will take pity on the great big brother who is looking after his baby brother on the most scariest night of the year and will give him candy too and although eddie will grumble about it while they’re doing it he’s pretty happy when he’s snacking on candy for about a week afterward

richie and bill teaming up to steal people’s pumpkins off of their lawns. that’s it.

speaking of pumpkins, the amount of pumpkin carving competitions they have is ridiculous. richie would honestly just sabotage everybody though, like as soon as their backs would turn his knife would slip and eddie’s angry faced pumpkin would soon turn into the happiest pumpkin alive. this in turn leads to eddie chasing richie around the kitchen with his knife while screaming bloody murder

after theyve all been to the senior halloween party, they all end up back at richie’s house watching spooky movies and sharing popcorn. ben is always the one who is most scared and ends up hiding his face in bev’s neck the whole time. and stan is always the first one to fall asleep. richie draws a little devil face and moustache on him while he’s asleep and they take photos they use to bribe him into doing shit for them

when reddie are all grown up and it’s after pennywise, they are known in the neighbourhood as being the house you want to go to when you want the really good candy. like, we’re talking full snickers bars and shit like that. no apples at this house, unless it’s candy apples. and richie and eddie always come out together to hand out candy and they usually dress up and it’s just really cute
