I know covid has hit a lot of people hard, but it’s really hit a friend with a brick to the face. They really do want to get out of their situation and state that costs tax just to breathe (and let’s be real since it’s on fire half the year it’s pricey to do even that) but really needs some help. Whatever ya’ll can give would be phenomenal. She does art as well (check her main for prices and ref) and if you can’t afford anything maybe just share? Please?

Too Hot To Live Woop

Out here scraping the bottom of the pride barrel and asking for help where help does not want to be found, but desperation be like that, so… Asking for help from strangers too!

There’s a very real chance that our power is going to be shut off, and in this heat, that might kill us or our cats. I’ve already had heat exhaustion this summer. Mercifully, we have an window AC to keep one room under 75… but I can’t keep the house under 80 with the main house AC on full blast. Of course, the bill is probably insane because of this, and I’m seeking help elsewhere too, but that help may take time. My wife and I are disabled and I’m looking into services about what to do since the cooling centers aren’t yet open and the forecast is. Uh. 

Unlivable. Also our car doesn’t have a working AC. We have animals to worry about too. Literally anything helps, I’m HOPING I can get word on Monday, but with my luck and PGE being… PGE… I’m going to wake up in an oven. 

Here are ways to yeet help at me, and any signal boosting would be incredible. I can’t even get through to a human at PGE to find out what the total would be, but we woke up with no power the other day and the COVID forbearance is running out for utilities, so… It’s entirely likely that they would just not restore power if we had another blackout. It wouldn’t be the first time. My trex arms are still wrecked from carpal tunnel but I will try to do doodle requests soon. T_T

Hope ya’ll like my Crocidolite that @harinezumiko drew. She used to be pretty badass at battle but got tired of war and basically now goes to battlefields after the fact to collect the shards for (what she thinks) is recycling and funeral reasons. Just wants to pay respects to those gems. She’s very sweet though but the mask and hood help regulate her temperature.

I have some regrets related to my decisions but I DON’T REGRET DRAWING THIS… I need real pain meds omg.

But! @corgigem‘s delightful Gemsona, Crocidolite, arrived in game and I immediately had to draw her. What an absolute treat. I don’t draw spooky characters, and honestly, she’s very sweet, but this boogeyman reaper was just too good to resist! 

For people trapped in The Lore, I already drew her adorable pearl, Butterfly, with my Chocolate bby… The symmetry tool really is my savior, wow.

Okay but Pearl would actually probably do that. She went to anything Steven did, and even to the improve group she’d always request Steven. After putting so much time and effort into Connie; growing to love her you can’t tell me she wouldn’t. Steven is off on his road trip needing space and cheering on Connie also helps Pearl focus on someone and something else. It’s healthy for her to focus and get involved in more human things. And even if Connie would whisper it’s embarrassing you know she would love the positive attention and seeing Pearl. If anything I bet Connie continually would win because she wants to look good in front of Pearl and make her proud.

Okay but... What if Connie gets into her college's fencing team and Pearl is there to cheer her at EVERY game but also has a not-so-slight rivalry with her coach.

I’ll bite. If you have to be worried that you might come across something that could be NSFW at work then just...don’t go on that site while at work? “But I should be allowed to!” No. Your argument is you could potentially get in trouble at work for it. Then don’t risk it. Never mind even in office jobs a lot of places have a blanket rule you can’t be on your phone anyway, most places let it slide but have it specifically so if a boss wants they can dictate you’re in trouble for what they might see. In today’s society anyone could make a complaint about what is on your phone even if it’s absolutely G rated. The long and short of it is; if you think YOU’LL get in trouble if you come across it at work YOU are responsible for being the one to load it. No one else made you log into that website or stop on a picture. No website, just like in real life, will ever be 100% SFW. That’s a risk you take in existing.

friendo does really good art. Drew my Smokey really well with her kinderbuddy Tiger Iron.

Drew Tiger Iron and foolishly saved over the fullsize before I could try the braid omg… Welp So much for the no hoodie version TAT

But! The braid was doable, and I’m delighted with how she turned out. Tiger is such an unrepentant sweetheart and deserved zero of her tragic backstory but all of the catharsis and new life at the Spire. 

…I don’t appear to have posted some other art of her here wtf, adding her and @corgigem‘s Smokey Quartz, her long-separated Kinderbuddy!
