I couldn't stop looking at him, even though the sight in front of me was killing me inside. He looked happy, truly happy. I wanted to take a glimpse at his mind. I needed to know if he's really happy or just pretending it to spite me or to lie to himself.
"Just do it. You're a mind controller, make him..."
"No. I promised him to never do that again. It's not right."
"But it's killing you."
I appreciated my friend's concern, but it was supposed to end like this. He was with her and I would be that annoying girl he once met and fought with.

Random idea
A is super hype, kinda immature, loves affection, and doesn't take things seriously.
B is usually calm, reserved, doesn't show that much affection, and takes everything seriously.
One day A comes home to find papers scattered on the floor, a broken vase maybe, you get it. A finds B in the corner, crying and a total mess. B looks up and cries even harder.
A has no idea what's going on, but they don't want B to cry anymore, they can see the fear in their eyes, so A doesn't hesitate and scoops B up in their arms and carries them to their shared bed. A is about to go make them some tea, cause they know it helps B when they're stressed, but B stops them.
B: "Can... Can you hold me? Please, I need you with me."
A: "Of course. I'm here, baby. Wanna talk about it?"
B doesn't say anything and A won't push them. A and B spent the rest of the day in silence, just holding each other.

fictional kiss things that end me
being unable to open their eyes for a few moments afterward
one small kiss, pulling away for an instant, then devouring each other
pressing their foreheads together while kissing
speaking normally, then after the kiss their voice is hoarse
guys furrowing their brow when kissing passionately
staring at the other’s lips, trying not to kiss them, before giving in
running their thumb over the other’s lips
when they lean forward a fraction as if to kiss the other person, then realize they shouldn’t and pull back to stop themselves
ripping the other away - “no we shouldn’t” - but when they kiss them again they moan and hold them close
one sliding their hand into the other’s hair slowly
their entire body freezing for a second when their love kisses them
accidentally being forced inches apart from each other, staring at each other’s lips, and just before they kiss someone pulls them back apart
when one stops the kiss to whisper “I’m sorry, are you sure you-” and they answer by kissing them more
a hoarse whisper “kiss me”
then licks their lips and says “please”
