Barrett’s Krookadile finally fell. It had tried to stay strong for him but the amount of blows it was taking was too much. And Escavelier went down too when it took another blow from Calvin’s Crobat. Barrett’s hopes were brought up by Calvin’s pokemon being defeated but it didn’t last long. He fully ignored his “crazy” remarks, which was especially hard for him when he was this crazed. He had to get a grip however, or else he may lose.

“If ou’re so obedient to that good-for-nothing king then go ahead,” Barrett scowled, “remember this, you’re pathetic. And when you and your leader, Ghetsis, will be cowering at my feet, you’ll wish you had listened.”

Barrett attempted to intimidate the grunt but he had a feeling it would have no effect. Nothing seemed to work to get Barrett to leave while he still could. Nothing could convince him that he was wrong.

Barret was on his usual parole around the Plasma frigate. He made sure to keep his eye out for anything suspicious. When he entered the lab, he pulled out a camera and shot a picture of the unconscious poekmon in test tubes.

“How disgraceful,” he muttered under his breath. He continued around the building but he couldn’t shake off the feeling of someone watching him. Perhaps it was that obnoxious grunt who distrusts him. The one with dark brown hair and even darker blue eyes. Ah, Calvin, that was his name. The man was a brute and it bothered him indefinitely. Perhaps it was that he knew Barrett wasn’t working for Ghetsis but for his own reasons. Thing is, Barrett has always been a follower, and that is what is going to doom him.

The sound of a keypad being pressed could be heard from the other side of the door. Soon, the sound of the locks being disabled came from the other side as the door opened up, revealing the oddly short shadowy figure of another grunt.

Just as Barrett feared, it was Calvin and his suspicious gaze was now looking directly at him.

“Hmm..? Barrett, what are you doing here?”

The grunt cocked his head to the side, placing his hands on his hips and giving the orange haired grunt a raised eyebrow.

“Did Colress tell you to keep watch over the laboratory?”
