If you haven't met my #bunny yet, here's a little bit about him 🐇 Introducing the most energetic and humble bunny that's a "Savage for His Cabbage" ... not really. I'm not sure if bunnies can even eat cabbage. (Searched on Google and it's definitely not a good idea unless you want their cage to get ahh.... you know... messy). Well, you're still probably wondering why his name is Savage. I'll go ahead and leave that up to your imagination. In the mean time, let me just make a quick announcement on how amazingly soft his fur is like a babies butt, and how much he makes me laugh every time I spy on him. Now, moving forward onto his likes and dislikes. Here are just a few things he loves to give and receive: Dubbas (a.k.a head and cheek rubs), showing off, devouring succulent strawberries and lots of nose kisses. These are some things he really doesn't like: not being able to have my undivided attention every five minutes and last but not least, broccoli. There you have it. A beautiful thing, as a work of art or a building. When passing an area with paint sprayed on walls of buildings, do you ever stop and think about the meaning behind the picture, whether it represents a name or indicates a story? Graffiti can be seen all around the world and before each dedicated portrait was planned and created, it consisted primarily of treacherous work. While my love for photography grew, fascination with artists’ and their ability to use spray paint to create such works of art has astonished me. “If art like this is a crime, let God forgive me”, says Lee in the book Subway Art, 25th Anniversary Edition. For such a powerful statement, it truly has meaning. How can such a thing be a crime? In a society when drinking and smoking is legal to slowly decompose yourself, then to originate beauty and diffuse meanings through art around the world has become aberrant. Graffiti has evolved and formed through the mix of different international youth cultures and the adaption of a public statement over time; and in return, it gives a voice to the people to allow their minds to form what they want to create. “There needs to be more legal space for it in cities like Vancouver”, says [Titlegraf] from Instagram. I wrote a poem for the voices that unheard- a captured moment of true lives that call this place their home. ----------------------------------------- A new born child dies within seven days, not knowing what it's like to live just halfway. Many mothers cry when babies are taken away, just trying to survive than becoming so disarray. True love collides when a story fades to gray, as a daughter escapes a broken home only in the sixth grade. Stolen treasured values will be forever taken away, another memory pushed aside never to see the light of day. A society of hearts made of stone when no one truly cares about others, only of their own. People that live for this world are too busy glorifying and those who have a soul are overwhelmed from not demoralizing. Comfort is a luxury that is failed to be believed. Reality arrives and all just seem to grieve. This story's called The Bridge- something you may never see. In these people's eyes they have lives and you may never understand what it means. A past that will never be forgotten, a future to withhold. The streets have become their forever threshold. Enjoy my photography? Humanity [hyoo-man-i-tee or, often, yoo-]: 1. all human beings collectively; the human race; humankind. 2. the quality or condition of being human; human nature. 3. the quality of being humane; kindness; benevolence. There's a story behind this, as for every picture has its own story. What is the story for this captured photo you might ask? That I don't know for sure, but here is mine. Driving around downtown Phoenix, I catch a glimpse of a woman who looked homeless, sitting on the side of the road. All she had with her was a cloth bag, a dirty pillow, a worn pink hat and some food that she had in her hand. What really caught my eye was that the food was not to feed herself, but to feed these two cats that were begging for whatever that was in that can. Without hesitation, she kindly said yes when I asked if I could capture some photos of her and the two cats in the moment. I was truly amazed and felt an honest pleasure to come across someone so humane towards these gentle creatures, and to witness her give one of the only few things she had, is what I would say this action is the Art in Humanity.
