It's difficult to say how things would have been if Joanna Lannister survived.

Tywin clearly has some unresolved grief around her death but it's difficult to say how much is from that and how much from other issues, especially the decline of House Lannister under Tytos (although the latter probably had the biggest impact tbh). He hates Tyrion for being a dwarf and for "killing" Joanna but they're tied together too closely to be clearly untangled. While Joanna and Tywin seem to have had a genuine loving relationship, that might be cut across by Tywin blaming Joanna for Tyrion being a dwarf.

Although there are two concrete changes that aren't really about personality but would have a huge impact. Cersei would still be ambitious and a schemer etc but she'd actually be competent because Joanna would train her. She has experience as a ruler and specifically in the context of being a wife.

The other thing is I think Jaime would marry Elia, partly because Joanna had agency and influence and would be able to push through the match she was working on, and partly because I think Tywin only really rejected the betrothal because he was lashing out at the Martells for interrupting his mourning. He'd still insist on keeping Cersei free for a royal marriage but they didn't really mind which twin. That on its own would completely shift the political landscape and history of Westeros, doubly so as Elia couldn't marry Rhaegar once she married Jaime. Anything beyond that is too drastically different to predict.

I had to check but Cersei didn't move to King's Landing until 5 years after her mother's death (which in itself was possibly a factor) so she'd have time to receive a training and wouldn't have the opportunity (and they would both be too young) to sabotage the match by getting Jaime into to Kingsguard.

I got a chance to get commission drawing of max from @ajolote-mexicano by @cass-foxx and this is a small pokemon scarlet au with my ocs, with clay in the role of professor turo and sarah in the role of arven and finally max the popplio in the role of mabosstiff but my ocs take the roles of some of the characters but things don’t go how the main game goes

I think the relationship between the Baratheon brothers in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series is the biggest instance in fiction where I don't even have to be actively consuming or even discussing/reflecting on the story to be compelled by it.

I will just be going about my day and suddenly start thinking that Stannis probably helped Renly take his first steps as a baby, and Stannis probably smiled when Renly was able to walk, and Stannis probably remembered this moment a few times after murdering him. And then my eyes start to water.
