thinking a lot about how one of the themes of this album is how taylor’s life is like a circus — it’s a show. a display behind glass. a echo of what other people’s lives really possess. there’s a sadness in the artifice of it all and in the way she keeps trying to be both Taylor Swift and just herself and I think finding it fundamentally incompatible. it’s heartbreaking actually.

Please be wary of imposing things that have worked as good spiritual habits for you onto the lives of other people as law.
I'm afraid even the best teachers and pastors have done this but it's precisely because these habits were born out of sincere desire that it worked for them, and it's admirable to have strong self discipline and dedication and wish to share such habits as ideas with other people but please don't let anyone tell you that you are sinning if you don't:
Read the bible at a specific time of day
Read through the whole bible every year
Never miss church ever (even if you're sick)
Schedule your travel so that you never miss church
Avoid being in a room alone with someone of the opposite sex
Have a bible that's literally physically in bad repair
Many, many other things I've heard people speak as if they were law

Every time y’all fight about whether parents are qualified to homeschool I think about how many teachers I had who’d go on maternity leave at the start of the semester so the bulk of the class would be taught by the first warm body with no criminal record who volunteered as a substitute

I think the only thing cuter than babies giving people little wilted flowers plucked from the lawn as “here, accept this token of my love and appreciation,” is babies giving people little wilted flowers plucked from the lawn as “here, hold my stuff, I’m busy.”

The remake reboot prequel sequel industrial complex is killing me but the good thing is I don't have to watch any of that. I can just think "that sounds boring or otherwise doesn't interest me in any way" and do something other than watch it

[21] Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”

Thanks for the question, Anon! I had to combine the “10” with the “more than 10” because I ran out of space! Hope it works.
For me I have a lot of health issues and can’t work because of it, and family issues as well, but if it was a perfect world, I would choose two kids. That way they have each other.

reading and watching “classic” books and films is such an interesting experience because, before you get into them, when you only know them by name and maybe the vaguest plot outline, they’re intimidating and stuffy and up on a pedestal, but then you finally take the leap and check them out and realize that almost every story that’s achieved such a legendary level of popularity did so because something in its emotional core reached out and grabbed a lot of people by the throat and you are NOT immune.

If Veggie Tales was never a part of your childhood, let this be your introduction to veggie tales. Fans made this version with updated animation and texture and it looks great. This whimsical interpretation of a story from the book of Daniel reinterprets the elements of the Bible story in the following child-friendly ways:
Idol worship = chocolate bunny worship
Nebuchadnezzar = corporate CEO
Captivity in babylon = children enslaved in a factory
Death by fiery furnace = death by fiery furnace
