I cannot tell you how much I love your ahsoka x chase ship.
How did you come up with it? (Did I ask you that before?)
Do you have any other lab rats x star wars ships?
It came to mind a few years ago (maybe 2017 or 2018, I don't really remember), back when I was just a silent, lurking fan (my parents didn't allow me to have any social media accounts as a minor, so I just engaged with fan content as a guest and never posted anything I wrote). I've always been obsessed with crossovers; before I got on tumblr and had an audience to keep in mind, 90% of anything I wrote, or even just imagined, were crossovers. Lab Rats and Star Wars (Prequels/Clone Wars Era) were my favorite sci-fi fandoms, and I really enjoyed the idea of the Star Wars universe reacting to the bionic technology of Lab Rats.
I was playing with a story where Chase ended up stranded in the Star Wars galaxy, and had to stick it out with Anakin, Rex, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Co. until he managed to find/invent a way to get back home. I don't remember the details, but I was imagining the final goodbye scene, and when it came to Ahsoka's farewell it just, idk, clicked? Like I just realized there was little spark of potential chemistry I had never considered before.
And that plot bunny, though it has drastically evolved since then, waged war and fortified itself permanently in my brain. The brain rot is eternal.
I don't have any other Star Wars/Lab Rats crossover pairings that I'm 100% on board with (at least when it comes to canon characters, I have a Captain Atomic/Star Wars OC that's becoming essential to my AU worldbuilding). I am entertaining the idea of Kaz/Trace Martez; there's some cute potential there and I want to play with that idea. I also have some interest in Bree Davenport/Korkie Kryze, but I'm really conflicted when it comes to choosing who to ship Bree with.

Chapter 13
For once, she just enjoys the silence.
The Davenport Industries space craft has a far more spacious cockpit than she’s used to, and such a wider view of the stars glittering before them. She leans back in her chair, allows her eyes to drift closed.
She hears Chase sit down beside her, “So where are we going?” he asks.
“I already input the coordinates.”
There’s a series soft pings of buttons being tapped. “This planet isn’t even listed on the Mighty Med database.”
“I’ve been there before, though briefly,” she reassures, still keeping her eyes firmly closed.
“Why are we going there?” he inquires, curious.
“Because I need to,” she answers vaguely, allowing herself to drift momentarily off to sleep.
__________________________
The surface of the small planet is a deep, dull grey. Every inch is covered in rock and thin layers of soot-like sand which is blown around by the high winds. There’s no civilizations, no inhabitants, no life to be found on any inch of it.
The atmosphere, surprisingly, is breathable, if thin. They land where she instructs, at the mouth of a towering cavern.
He follows her tentatively down the ramp. She’s had yet to say anything about their purpose here, or about anything at all.
The winds tear across his face, and Chase is careful to shield his eyes from the stinging sand. Ahead, Ahsoka pulls the hood of her cloak closer around her face.
They enter the cavern, and it is truly a magnificent wonder of nature. The walls are much lighter in color than the outside, and the ceiling climbs at least fifty feet into the air. Stalagtites and stalagmites ordain the room like the columns of an ancient royal hall. Ahead, towards the back, the cavern splits into five narrow tunnels.
“This planet is strong in the force,” Ahsoka begins, though she doesn’t turn around to face him. “The Jedi use places like this as the sites for their most sacred rite, of earning a crystal for their first lightsaber.” She glances back at Chase. “When Korkie is ready, I will bring him here for that very purpose, even though neither of us are Jedi.” She takes a breath, “But that’s not the event I saw on this planet in my visions, and it’s not the reason I needed to come here now.”
He nods, because even though he’s not force-sensitive, and he doesn’t understand much of anything about the force, he’s guessed her purpose. “You’re going to build a new shoto.”
“Yes,” she breathes. And the longer she stands here the more certain she is this is the time to fulfill that part of her vision.
____________________
There’s a million things he could be doing on this ship while he waits for Ahsoka. But at the moment, none of them seem appealing.
A flashing light on the dashboard catches his attention. He frowns.
He waits a good fives minutes before deciding to accept the transmission.
“Skylar,” he greets, though his tone isn’t overly friendly. “What’s going on?”
“Nothing, honestly. I just wanted to see how you were doing.”
“Ahsoka and I are fine.”
He hears her sigh. “Look, about what happened with the whole magnetism app thing…”
“I really don’t want to talk about that.”
She goes quiet. “Douglas thinks you left early because you’re upset with him…and us,” she adds.
“Do you think that’s why we left early?”
She doesn’t answer.
He sighs. “Ahsoka needed to stop by another system before we meet up with Korkie. I’ll contact you again once we’re back in route to Earth.” And he ends the transmission before she can respond.
_________________________
She holds the violet crystal in her hands, still trembling. She closes her fingers around it, feels the sharp edges bite into her palm.
The visions one was supposed to receive were supposed to be illuminated at the end of the path, tests for the seeker to pass.
She’s found what she was looking for, but doesn’t understand what this place was trying to tell her. But if she’s given the crystal she seeks, then shouldn’t the conclusion be that she’s not supposed to know just yet?.
Or she knows, if she would only admit why she decided to come to this place now.
Would that admission be one she could make? That she’s allowing herself to wield a second blade again because she’s done paying her penance?
Is she throwing away the guilt she’s shouldered for so long? Ever since she was expelled from the Jedi Order, when she looked up into the faces of her masters and realized they believed her capable of doing something like this. It didn’t matter that her innocence was proved; there must have something monstrous inside her, otherwise they would not have ever believed she was guilty.
And if she was dark, then what better role to play than that of a superhero, one halfway between monster and hero?
But jedi or superhero, peacekeeper or hellion, neither was enough to prevent the tragedy following Mandalore, or the destruction of Mighty Med. And somewhere down the line, she became convinced it was all on her head.
She joined the Elite Force because it felt like such a natural next step, an escape from her mourning, penance for all her failures. Reuniting with a friend and an ally she knew she could trust.
And though she had suppressed all her visions away, until she reminded so abruptly yesterday, that their future will lead them away from those loyalties. Of that, she is certain.
But whether into darkness or light, that she cannot tell.

OC's for my Lab Rats/Star Wars crossover AU.
I don't know how much of the Ahsoka series I'm going to incorporate into this crossover AU, but the time period is on my mind so I am playing around with some of my less developed ideas.
I have several OC's I've created for this AU (a nightsister, Ahsoka's little sister, etc.), but since the Ahsoka/Chase ship is what started this particular crossover AU for me, I decided to sketch their two daughters. (As what they would look like in 9 ABY)
More info below
On the left is Atarka Tano-Davenport, (21 yrs old in 9 ABY). Growing up with a father who cracked age-reversal at eighteen and a mother with the partial soul of a Mortis celestial, Atarka has always been fascinated with the nature of life itself. Both from the scientific point of view in biology and genetics, as well as the force. She's quickly becoming the Darth Plagueis of her generation, only as a light-sider (for now). A perfectionist like Chase, with Ahsoka's intuitive nature, she also has obsessive, tunnel-vision tendencies almost reminiscent of Douglas Davenport. She wields a yellow saber-staff powered by lava crystals (there is a pragmatic reason for this, I just don't feel like explaining it here).
On the right is Rexanne Tano-Davenport (17 yrs old in 9 ABY), obviously named after Ahsoka's brother-in-arms. Although she is also a powerful force-sensitive, she doesn't have the same fixations as her sister. She views the force as a tool, a powerful one certainly, but like any other tool or superpower, is dangerous to become reliant upon. Rexanne is extremely pragmatic, interested more in combat, dueling, and technology than the secrets of the force. This is partly influenced by an incident when she was younger, when she survived a surprise attack by Calderans, leaving her with severe enough injuries that Chase had use bionic technology to save her life (haven't decided on what bionic abilities she might have). She wields a pair of curved dueling lightsabers powered by synthetic crystals.
These are just rough ideas, a lot may end up changing before I eventually put them in a fic.

Unexpectedly, the Ahsoka series (so far) is actually working very nicely into my Lab Rats universe/Star Wars crossover AU.
I wonder if the show will connect the Nightsisters’ worship of the Winged Goddess and Fanged God to Ahsoka’s experiences on Mortis, because I absolutely will be in my AUs (though addressing it earlier in the timeline).
I had already created a nightsister, Arjav Venul (not apart of Talzin’s clan), who left Dathomir after her brother had visions of the gods’ death, searching for answers, and now that the nightsisters are being connected to intergalactic space travel, I might use her to bring Ahsoka into the Milky Way.

More Star Wars/Lab Rats Universe crossover AU random thoughts. Don't know if I will stick with these or abandon them. Will be referencing some legends material.
With all of Chase's abilities, [intelligence, laser bo, telekinesis, levitation, etc.] and potential for additional ones, he's exactly the kind of super-soldier that would be ideal for hunting force-sensitives. Considering we know Douglas had multiple potential clients, some of which were rather fond of dictatorships, perhaps that was intentional in design. It couldn't have been Darth Sidious, as while he had ambitions of expanding the Empire to other galaxies, he hadn't cracked intergalactic travel (not including the satellite galaxies, obv). However, perhaps Darth Plagueis was a bit more resourceful. And I mean, intergalactic hyperspace lanes (or other means of travel) would be the kind of secret almost on-par with immortality, and not something to share the details of to your ultra power-hungry apprentice.
Now, I know there's debate about whether or not the Ones (Father, Daughter and Son) are celestials. Let's say they are apart of the celestials, which may not even refer to a singular race, but a collection of extremely long-lived and powerful beings that spread themselves across multiple galaxies. The Ones may have been apart of a small group drawn to the Star Wars galaxy by the Wellspring of Life, and became fascinated and devoted to the study of the Force, while their brethren continued to play with manipulating planets, systems, even manipulating and moving species from one place to another, which would be fairly harmonious with both Mighty Med and Star Wars (I do have more detailed thoughts on this, but I don't feel like writing them all out). As the Ones' power grew more potent in the Force, and indirectly teaching it to the Rakata went to horribly wrong, they ended up building the hyperspace barrier. Keeping the deadly potentials of the Force away from other galaxies, and keep the casually dangerous potentials of the celestials' other galaxies away from their own.
Thinking that Lithios and the remains of Davenportia may actually be in the Unknown Regions of the Star Wars galaxy. Donald went out of his way to build a colony multiple galaxies away from Earth, on the most plain inhospitable rock imaginable. Making it the Star Wars galaxy would explain that bizarre choice. The hyperspace barrier anomaly makes it almost impossible (though not completely, the Yuuzhan Vong did it) to enter that galaxy. Which would make it an appealing choice to Donald- I-will-do-anything-to-keep-anyone-fro-spying-on-my-projects- Davenport.
Since Ahsoka was altered/seems to have retained some of the Daughter's life force, she could technically touch the Arcturion without dying. Though she probably doesn't know this, at least not for certain.

Hey,
How does your lab rats x star wars au work? Like the setting?
Is it just like the sw universe and there are bionic there?or is it a combination of the real world and the sw universe?
I've done it multiple ways for different fics, especially when it comes to my older works. Like Mission Creek is a region on the upper levels of Coruscant, or parts of the Milky Way and planet Earth are combined into the Star Wars galaxy, etc.
Lately, the AU I've been sticking with, and still trying to work out the kinks of and perfect, is just that the Milky Way and all other galaxies in the Lab Rats/Mighty Med/Elite Force universe exist in the same universe as the Star Wars galaxies. To me, this clicks the best since intergalactic travel is very much canon and accessible in the Lab Rats franchise.
[As I expand on this, I have not looked into your blog enough to know if you have watched Mighty Med, but if you haven't, forewarning, this relies heavily on Mighty Med lore, and just overall on Mighty Med's world building, which isn't explained in depth in Elite Force]
The Star Wars galaxy is known to the superhero world, but because of the hyperspace barrier, remains fairly, though not entirely, isolated. As the League of Heroes rarely operates there, and isn't really considered apart of superhero history, "Star Wars" (which, in this AU, started with catching up on Old Republic history. The Original Trilogy doesn't exist yet because those events haven't happened yet) became a separate comic book line and overall franchise. Mighty Med obviously still used those profits to fund all its organizations. I hope that makes sense. I've discussed this a bit more in a previous post.
I'm still working on what the actual history of humans looks like in this AU. I have a couple of ideas, but I haven't settled on one thing.
As for how Ahsoka found her way outside of her home galaxy. I've been working on that, and it certainly was the result of multiple chain of events coalescing. I'm actually going to release a fic soon that has to do with the result of this poll that deals with one of those early events that causes that chain reaction. I've talked a little about some of those ideas in this post and in this post.
In summary, just as the superhero world uses those with specific supernatural abilities (Ambrose), to record superhero history and current events throughout the universe, turn into comic books and sell as fiction for profit, they also do so for the Star Wars galaxy, despite its more secluded state. [I also head canon that Ambrose survived Mighty Med's destruction and is still selling to publishers, only now he gets to keep all the profit for himself, which after all the abuse he's suffered, he honestly deserves.]
I hope I'm making sense. Feel free to ask more specific questions if you need to, or make suggestions.

Chapter 12
Just when he feels he’s in control that assurance is torn from his grip.
He bites the inside of his cheek so hard it bleeds, the taste of copper overwhelming ever other sense, dulling for a moment his anxious frustration.
Isn’t it ironic that the man who once gave such a long speech about understanding what it’s like to be overlooked, kicked around, would become someone who constantly tore him down?
His phone buzzes. He picks up. “Hello.”
Ahsoka’s voice comes from the other end. “Bo-Katan can’t make the rendezvouz.”
“What happened?”
“Not sure. She just muttered something in mando’a about imperial bastards. We’re postponing till five days from now.”
Chase eyes the small intruder strutting about Mission Command. “Alright. Just keep me updated.”
At least that gives him more time to deal with this ridiculous situation.
It’s only later that he realizes if he weren’t trying so hard not to think about certain things, he wouldn’t have left himself so vulnerable; he wouldn’t be in this position.
The toolbox slams into his stomach with such force he feels suddenly nauseous.
“Douglas, what’s going on?” he asks, panicked.
“When AJ hacked into your chip, he must have triggered a glitch. Your magnetism app is going haywire!”
___________________
She can sense his anxiety well before she enters the hyper lift. She’s not entirely surprised. Douglas had returned only this morning.
Whatever she’s expecting, it isn’t this.
Chase stands in the middle of Mission Command with tools and appliances stuck to his body.
“What the kark is going on?” Ahsoka asks.
“Chase’s magnestism app is glitching. It’s attracting every metal object to his body and it’s only getting stronger,” Douglas explains, and she can hear the fear growing in his voice.
“What do you mean? How much stronger can it get?” And she feels her own emotions beginning to heighten.
The cyber desk begins to shake, and the trembling grows to include every wall.
“That much stronger,” Douglas replies. “This entire room is reinforced with steel, we need to get Chase upstairs.
_____________________
By the time the hyper lift doors open, she can hear the sound her heart pounding in her chest.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Kaz asks.
“And who’s the kid?” Bree interjects.
“AJ, Lives downstairs, tapped into Chase’s chip and now his magnetism app is glitching and causing everything made of metal to fly towards him. Tragic, but hysterical.”
Chase turns to look at him.
“Or maybe just hysterical,” Kaz laughs.
Ahsoka clenches her jaw. “Douglas needs to find a way to fix the glitch…
“And in the meantime, I need you all to use your powers to protect Chase from all the heavy objects,” Douglas finishes, eyeing a toaster as it flies off the table, only stopped by Ahsoka catching it in mid air.
“Yeah, we can’t really do that.”
“Why not!” Douglas protests as Ahsoka narrows her eyes.
“Well, you see we’re having this contest. Guys versus girls, who can go longest without using their powers for trivial things…” Kaz explains.
“Clearly my life is not a trivial thing!” Chase yells.
“Are we sure?” Bree jokes.
“I think we should take a vote,” replies Oliver.
And Ahsoka can’t stand it.
She sends the toaster off the edge of the balcony with the force. Dropping her hands by her side as other metal objects in the room begin to quiver. “Are you being fucking serious right now?” she growls.
And she can see in their eyes that they can all sense the shift in power that’s come over the air.
There’s a statue and a half a dozen things that come flying all at once. They stop, hovering in the air just a foot from her and Chase, and they crumple like foil.
There’s a rumbling as more things come sailing through the air. She’s ignited her lightsaber now, increasing many items upon her blade, and trying to repel the rest with the force.
She turns to Douglas, who’s standing with his mouth agape. She sends a fork whizzing past his ear. “Fix this,” she demands, and that seems to span him from his trance.
“Alright,” he says “I need someone to get Chase’s capsule. If we can get him inside, that should recalibrate his chip and fix the glitch.”
The other team members seem to have come to their senses. Oliver and Bree rush upstairs to retrieve his capsule while Kaz and Skylar aid in protecting Chase.
Ahsoka’s movements seem almost demonic as she tries to keep up a barrier around Chase.
It’s not quite enough.
She barely even registers that something got past her, doesn’t begin to worry until she hears him hiss, turns around momentarily to realize he’s managed to move one arm enough to clutch at his side.
He’s wrapped a hand around the hilt of a kitchen knife that’s buried in his abdomen.
Later, Kaz and Skylar will say the first thing they heard was the breaking of glass, and then of being knocked off their feet and landing face first on the floor. They’ll say they only heard the rest of the destruction.
She doesn’t realize the force of the power she’s released. She doesn’t realize she’s shattered every window and torn through the walls, sending every object near out of the building.
She’s only focused on the amount of blood that’s soaking the floor.
They haven’t noticed. Douglas and Oliver place Chase in his capsule so quickly they don’t have a chance to. They don’t register what’s wrong until the metal objects fall away and he slumps against the wall of his capsule.
She doesn’t give them time to figure out what to do. She’s already kneeling by his side, placing a hand over the wound and pouring what strength she has left into him. She hears Douglas yelling just over her shoulder, but the words are blurred. She drowns them out, focusing on drawing the tissues back together, of replenishing the blood lost in those few minutes.
When she’s finished, she leans back on her heels, slightly dizzy , a headache forming just above her eyes. She turns to see Douglas standing behind her, expression on of shock. “You…”
“I healed him,” she finishes, and realizes how cold her voice sounds when Bree flinches at her tone.
________________________
He looks up to see her standing in the doorway, rapping a knuckle on the open door.
“Come in,” he says, and a small smile flickers over his features.
“How are you feeling?” Ahsoka asks, her voice soft.
“Fine, thanks to you,” he responds. “I only came up here to avoid the others,” he admits. “What about you?”
“A five hour nap later and the headache’s gone,” she replies.
“Good, and thank you.” He smiles. “You’ve saved my life once again.”
“Well, I had to even it out after that sniper on Mandalore,” she reasons, coming farther into the room. “You know,” she begins, shifting the topic, “I was thinking we could leave early for Raxtuvin. There’s a planet I wanted to stop by on the way and…and I think it’d be nice to get some distance from here for awhile.”
“I can be packed and have the ship ready in two hours,” Chase replies readily, and in the back of his mind the words he’d been trying to suppress all day come flooding back.
When are you going to stop running away when you need to feel free?  How will you ever break your chains if you don’t allow your family to see who you really are?
Don’t you want to feel their fear when they make you hurt?
And he can still see the way Maul’s face seemed so sincere as he tore through all of Chase’s darkest desires.

My Clone Wars(Bad Batch)/Lab Rats:Elite Force crossover has become my fix-it AU. Not, like, Order 66 never happened fix-it, but building actual hope beyond just struggling against the Empire after Order 66. As in, make the Elite Force actually an Elite Force and give Ahsoka the opportunity to bond with a new family and start to heal.
The Elite Force's purpose is to prevent the remaining superheroes from being hunted down and purged. And in a universe that's interconnected to at least seven galaxies and has more than one method of traveling between galaxies, extending their aid to rogue clone troopers and hunted force-sensitives is a logical next step if someone gave them a reason to. I mean, after just barely earning their own freedom from the government, Chase and Bree still protected an entire army of bionic soldiers from being found.
There's also the fact that Chase's aging device could theoretically be used to reverse the effect of the clones' accelerated aging even if you weren't using it to live forever.
Integrating Ahsoka into the Elite Force would mean that there is a fourth member who's had a lifetime of combat training and several years of experience. And the fact that her experience is weighted more towards military versus rescue balances out Chase, Bree, and Skylar. She's strategic and used to a military chain of command, meaning Chase would no longer be the only stabilizing member of the team. She, like Bree and Chase, has experience being in a mentor role, which gives Oliver and Kaz more training and support.
Ahsoka would be in a situation where she doesn't have to hide her connection to the Force from those immediately around her. Though she would have to disguise her species with a cyber cloak when going out in public (unless they were doing a mission on another planet). Bree would immediately latch onto her as another friend/sister as she does with Skylar. Chase and Bree both understand what it's like to be hunted and to have such a strong sense of duty to protecting others that's intrinsic to their identities.

There will be additional parts to this that move onto other characters: Armida Davenport (OC), Captain Atomic, Arjav Venul (OC), and possibly others, but since I like to keep my tumblr posts short, I will post them all separately, and combine them into a single one shot on Ao3 when finished.
________________________
Circa 38 BBY (1996)
Knowledge is power. Ignorance is weakness. The unknown is dangerous to those who survive in the shadows, behind the curtains of the civilized world. An environment the Sith of the Rule of Two have mastered as their domain. All trespassers examined, understood, conquered, and sometimes, eliminated. There are no immovable stones for those who give themselves fully to the Dark Side.
That is their reality, until it isn’t.
Darth Plagueis studies the man, if that is an appropriate classification, as he has many times before. As Darth Tenebrous did before him. The man who stands immovable, and bold, before the Dark Lords of the Sith.
He’s using the name Waylon, but he changes them out in fashion every forty years or so. Red herrings for the peculiarity that his body, near-human with light skin, black hair, and scales on his lower back, never ages.
His eyes are always so empty.
That’s the only thing Plagueis ever discovered about him that Waylon didn’t tell him directly. After trying to dispose of the man by cutting off his head, only for it to instantly regenerate, he’d tried to break the man’s iron mind again. Ramming it with the full force of the Dark Side, and only wounding himself. Waylon was impenetrable. But one truth he did realize, trying to wrap his mind around the other’s, was that the man was not really the man. This body was a puppet on strings. Whatever sentience of its own that it may have once possessed had been hollowed out long ago, controlled by a distant being.
The being now calling itself Waylon is unknowable; immovable. Casually interested, for unknown motives, in the affairs of the two Sith Lords, one now deceased.
Darth Plagueis cannot move him. But he can use him.
“You are proposing something beyond what even the Kaminoans could conceive.”
Waylon draws another puff of smoke from his cigar. “Naturally.”
“You know of a more advanced engineer. The one who designed the body you’re using.”
Waylon looks amused, smiling in a way that makes his mouth look unnaturally wide, stretched beyond what the skin would normally allow. “A unit like this would not suit your purposes. More likely aggravate your concerns. It’s such an old design anyways. Brilliant for its time, but my kin have been stagnant in improvements. Their vision withered from lack of use; seeing only one kind of power.”
“Perhaps you overestimate my apprentice.”
“You’d be settling for a product mismatched to your needs. I thought you understood the subtleties of what truly creates the right advantage. Precision is more important than raw power.”
“What are you offering?”
“True innovation. You’d be only one of a group of clients, but I know you have the diplomacy to ensure your criteria is prioritized.”
The muun balks. “Such popularity is an unacceptable risk. The rumors…”
“Will not exist. They are bound to their solar system in a galaxy far beyond your hyperspace barrier.”
The man’s casual tone never altered, and he stands as relaxed as he did before, as if he did not just describe an impossibility. Plagueis’ eyes narrow. “Intergalactic travel between distant galaxies was only known to the ancients.”
“True, but not all the ancients had such short, mortal lives. Some still live on, the old familiar and dull to them, the modern obscure and intriguing.” He smiles. “That’s why I like you, Damask. You understand the need to evolve.”
Plagueis withholds his belief. “For one who implies to be daring, you seem quite comfortable in the vague.”
“Secrets shouldn’t be scattered freely like grain, but nurtured and reserved for those who can truly cultivate their potential.”
“And why would you bestow me with such a gift?”
“Because this engineer is going to build a weapon that will send tremors throughout the universe, and he needs someone who will have the vision to use it.”

Chapter 11
Maybe it isn’t a complete disaster. Though Chase never revoked what he said, he seems calmer, in control, and still behaves with the authority he held before.
“I’m sorry, Skylar. But no meeting up with superheroes. We never know who’s watching, and we can’t take the risk of exposing their true identity.”
“But Crossbow’s in danger,” Skylar argues.
“Every hero is in danger. That’s why using the network is the safest option. We can get the word out to everyone at once, and then confirm when they receive it.”
“Okay, I guess then I won’t get to see my friend.” She turns to the bionic girl beside her. “But at least I still have you, right Bree?”
“Not even close,” is Bree’s response as she exits the room.
Skylar follows, while Oliver and Kaz leave through the hyper lift.
Ahsoka stands, walks over to Chase who’s started working on something else on the cyber desk. “Look, I shouldn’t have blown up at you yesterday…”
“No,” Chase cuts her off. “You were completely right. I let my emotions override my judgment and you made me realize that. I should have talked to you before making that decision, and that was my mistake. I’m sorry.”
“Just…don’t shut me out again, okay? We need to trust each other if we’re going to get through this.”
He nods, “I know.”

When they accessed the encrypted superhero network, she never expected it would lead to someone contacting her.
She stares at the message. She doesn’t bother trying to figure out how Bo-Katan managed to access the network; the Mandalorian has always been skilled at building underworld connections.
[I can’t go back] is what she sends.
[That’s not what I’m asking] is the response.
Ahsoka swallows, pacing a few steps before she sends the next message.
[Then what do you want?]
She waits, tapping the edge of the desk.
[Do you remember Korkie?]
[Satine’s nephew, right?]
[Yes, but he’s actually her son.]
Ahsoka’s fingers hover over the screen.
[What do you want from me?]
[He’s not safe here. And his father won’t help him.]
It takes a moment for the realization to dawn upon her.
[He already has one force sensitive under his care, he won’t care another. Korkie needs training.] Bo-Katan continues.
[I’m not a jedi]
[And he’s a Mandalorian]
Ahsoka takes a breath.
[Where I am isn’t safe]
[He’s not a child, he’s a Mandalorian warrior. And anywhere the Empire can’t reach is safe enough.]
[I’ll have to discuss it with our team leader. I’ll contact you again in six hours]
[I await your transmission]

“Chase, I need to talk to you…” she trails off, fixated on Kaz standing across the room.
There’s something decidedly wrong about him.
“He’s probably just mad we took away his dolls,” Bree teases as Chase begins unlocking the cyber desk.
“What does that even mean?” Kaz asks.
“The dolls, the ones you were just playing with earlier” Bree explains, confused.
Kaz looks back and forth, studying their expressions. “Oh, right. Yeah, those were really special to me.”
Now Chase and Bree tense, and Ahsoka strides more purposely near them.
“Kaz,” Chase begins, “what do those dolls look like?”
They’re all moving forward, back Kaz closer against the wall.
“Who are you?” Bree demands, and all three of them prepare for a fight.
The imposter shape shifts in Riker. He stalks forward, but she can sense an undercurrent of fear about him too. “I’m taking that list. Question is, how much I have to hurt you to get it.”
Ahsoka allows herself to smirk, because she knows this time they’re not overestimating their abilities.
______________________
It’s only the three of them, Chase, Bree, and her, that know they have a fake list prepared.
She sees the flaw of that too late.
The superhero Skylar snuck out to save ends up being Roman and Riker’s first casualty isn this new phase of terror.
Oliver and Kaz have an idea to save her, but she’s been dead too long by then, and they can’t get her heart beating again.
The night ends with Chase and Oliver burying the body out beyond the outskirts of the city, wearing cyber cloaks just to be safe.
She hopes Roman and Riker will at least leave her body undisturbed.
_______________________
She knows this meeting isn’t going to be about what the rest of the team expects it too.
“We’re adding a new member to the team,” Chase announces.
“What? Who?” Bree asks, shocked.
“His name is Korkie Kryze. He’s an old friend of Ahsoka’s.”
“A Mandalorian warrior who’s been training the past two years,” Ahsoka explains. “And a force-sensitive. Meaning he has the same ‘mystic powers’, as you call them, as me, though he hasn’t learned how to control them yet.”
“And you’re sure we can trust him?” Oliver inquires.
Ahsoka nods. “The only reason they knew to reach out this far in the galaxy was because of me. They don’t even know Rodissius or his children, much less have any loyalties to them.”
“In two days, Ahsoka and I will be taking a ship to meet him on Raxtuvin. We should return early the next morning.”
________________________
He didn’t expect to find Skylar down here in the tunnels. And he definitely didn’t expect to see tears sliding down her cheeks.
“It’s all my fault,” she whispers.
“What is?”
“All of it. Crossbow’s death, almost losing the list…” she brings up a hand to dry her eye. “I thought when you brought back my powers I would finally be able to be a hero again, but all I’ve managed to be is less of one.” She looks down at the ground. “I’m a liability to the team,” she admits, “I can’t blame you for replacing me.”
“Korkie isn’t coming here to replace you.”
She looks up, confused. “I thought it was implied. Not that you were kicking me off the team, but that you got someone else so you didn’t have to rely on me.”
Chase sits down next to her. “That’s not why Korkie is coming here. He’s been on the run, recently discovering his abilities in the force with no one to train him…Ahsoka was the last ally he could turn to for help.”
“Really?”
He nods.
Skylar seems to relax. “I must have sounded like such an idiot to jump to the conclusions I did.”
“You’re not an idiot.” Chase takes a breath. “And yes, you made a mistake. And you’ll have to live with those consequences. But you can’t let that guilt prevent you from doing your duty.”
Skylar nods. “Thank you,” she whispers.
And she doesn’t know how similar those words are to ones Ahsoka told to Chase three years ago.

Chapter 10
She realizes Douglas’ arrival has caused a more permanent change in Chase’ behavior.
Anxiety hangs over him like a fog, and his confidence seems to be growing fragile.
The day comes when the Elite Force get their first mission as a team, and Chase and Ahsoka are trapped in Mission Command.
Everything is sorted out; the rest of the team succeed fine without them. And she realizes something is very wrong when Chase can’t seem to handle that.
He and Skylar are suddenly at each other’s throats, and even Bree, the only one of the two who’s repaired her friendship with Oliver, begins act coldly towards the superhero.
It’s after the next mission that Ahsoka finds herself even more in the dark.
“What the kriff is going on?” she demands, and she barely registers that Skylar was already down here in Mission Command talking with him.
“What do you mean?” he asks, and doesn’t look her in the eye.
She puts a hand on her hip, raises an eyebrow marking. “You know what I mean. You just announce that there’s no more mission leader role, effectively erasing any form of command structure for this team, and think this is okay?”
He looks down at the desk, and glances at Skylar. “It’s better for the team.”
“How, exactly?”
“Maybe he’s just realized we’re not all freaking idiots and deserve the same amount of power when making decisions for this team,” Skylar interjects, and she moves her hand to rest on his arm.
Ahsoka laughs humorously, ignoring the way her stomach twists at their physical contact. “That’s not how it works! That’s not why leadership is essential…” she shakes her head. “Taking orders does not make someone inferior. When every moment becomes a life or death decision, there is no time for argument or collaboration, then everyone would die. That’s why a structured chain of command is necessary, even for teams as small as ours.” She sighs. “I wouldn’t expect someone like you, Skylar, who worked as a solo hero for so many years to understand that, but you,” she directs at Chase, “You sure as hell know better.”
Chase doesn’t respond, but grips the edge of the desk.
Ahsoka swallows, her voice lowering. “I don’t know what’s been going on with you, and I don’t…I don’t know what happened between you two on our last mission,” she turns back towards the hyper lift, “but I know that you’re making a huge mistake.”
_________________________
He knows she’s right.
Skylar tries to soothe him, tell him he’s made the right decision, but he brushes her off. He tells her he needs to be alone.
He holds his head in his hands, and curses his stupidity.
He let his emotions cloud his judgement. His jealousy in locking Skylar in Mission Command, and later his guilt in deciding to erase the role of mission leader.
And he’s allowed all of that to put a wall between him and Ahsoka.

Chapter 14
He doesn’t want to intrude.
She smiles, and she can feel the gravity of what she’s just endured slipping away.
The pieces are all laid out on the ground already, the violet crystal the crowning center.
She encourages him to stay, and he does, though only in the doorway. She meditates, eyes closed, reaching out with her mind to place each part in its correct place, moving delicately, purposefully. She can sense his curiosity, his awe. They’re emotions she’s used to feeling from him when she showcases her skills. Only she didn’t used to think about it so much.
She opens her eyes, takes the lightsaber from the air. It’s a bit longer and slimmer than her other shoto, more refined, elegant. It suits the brilliant violet blade perfectly.
“Incredible,” he murmurs, only he’s not looking at the lightsaber.
She can feel the tension, and she stands, walks. Every step seems to electrify the air. She brushes by his shoulder, “So are you sometimes, Genius,” she quips, though her voice is barely above a whisper.
And she can’t escape the grin spreading over face as she walks away, as if she were dancing in the crashing foam of a wave’s crescendo.
_____________________
It’s only now that she realizes that she never communicated with Korkie directly. That for all she knows he never wanted this arrangement and they might have come all this way only for him to choose not to go.
Those are the thoughts running through her head as they make their way through the crowded outpost. She keeps her face slightly downcast, obscured by the hood she’s wearing, the tips of her montrals protruding from the cutouts. Chase follows just behind her as they navigate their dark, rather unseemly surroundings.
The lights are dim, occasional interjections of bright colors from the roaring bars that litter the complex. The passageways are tall, narrow, one moment crowded shoulder to shoulder, the next empty, still as a tomb.
They make a left, another right, Chase muttering directions behind her. They come to a large, somewhat rusted door.
“Hangar 4B,” Chase confirms, and Ahsoka takes a breath before touching the key pad.
There are four, no five, Mandalorians waiting for them. Bo-Katan turns, removing her helmet. Her green eyes flash in the dim light. “You’re early.”
“Is that a problem?” Chase asks.
Bo-Katan pauses. “No.”
Ahsoka lowers her hood. “So where is…” she stills.
The Mandalorian on the far right removes his helmet to reveal a face that is so reminiscent of Obi-Wan’s that it makes her pause.
He doesn’t look like his clone; his nose and narrow jaw are clearly Satine’s, but it’s enough that it takes a moment for her to find her voice.
“Are you coming with us?” she asks, because she needs to confirm this is Korkie’s choice.
He nods. “I am.” And she can feel his weary determination.
And she knows that this will permanently change the dynamic of the Elite Force. Chase understands that too, and he supports it anyways.

For those who like my Star Wars/Lab Rats Universe crossover content, pick a character(s) that you'd like me to focus on in an upcoming fic.
Will probably do at least the top 2, if there are that many votes to begin with.

Chapter 15
“And…everyone’s apparently gone,” Ahsoka observes, as they step into the penthouse.
“Well, it’ll probably be easier to give the rundown without them anyways,” Chase reasons. He turns to Korkie. “Rooms are upstairs, so we’ll go up and drop off your bags before we go over Mission Command.”
Korkie nods, looking curiously about the living area. They disappear for a moment up the stairs. Ahsoka pulls out her phone absentmindedly while she waits for them to return.
“So where is Mission Command exactly?” the mandalorian asks.
“Right through here,” Chase gestures, the fireplace opening to reveal the hyper lift.
Korkie’s eyebrows raise. “That’s impressive.”
“The hyper lift will take us underground almost instantaneously,” Chase explains as they all step in. “And this is Mission Command. This cyberdesk is connected to the secret superhero network and has a list of all superheroes residing covertly in Centium City. We use it to update them about Roman and Riker’s possible positions.”
“Down these corridors are were we store weapons, as well as rooms where we can safely train and spar,” Ahsoka adds.
Korkie nods, and the three of them head back upstairs. The hyper lift doors open to reveal their returned teammates and AJ arguing over something in the living room.
“Hey guys,” Chase greets, “Where were you?”
“Just going to a movie only to have the beginning, middle, and end spoiled,” Kaz explains dully.
“So this is Korkie,” Skylar frowns. “Doesn’t look like he could be much stronger than Oliver without his super strength.”
“Okay, rude,” Ahsoka responds indignantly. “He literally just got here and you know next to nothing about him.”
“Well, we do know he is handsome,” Bree remarks.
Olivers huffs, seeming upset at Bree’s description. “I don’t see it.”
“Guys, seriously?” Chase reprimands.
“Oh, ignore them, they’re just upset because they were arguing over the list.” Kaz dismisses.
“What list?”
“My Elite Force breakdown!” AJ interjects excitedly. “It ranks every member based on how powerful they are.”
Ahsoka plucks up the tablet. “Skylar, Kaz, Bree, Oliver, Ahsoka, and then Chase.” She seems amused. “Really, Kaz is second? The last mission we went on, he tripped on a piece of gum and managed to hurt himself badly enough that Skylar and I had to carry him the whole way back.” She laughs, passing the list back to Bree. “I’m not sure this is worth the cause of an argument as much as comedic relief.”
“It’s accurate!” AJ defends.
“Sure kid,” she responds, disappearing upstairs.
_________________________
“Oh, Korkie, there you are,” Ahsoka begins, entering Mission Command. “What’re you doing?” she asks, seeing the small companion with him.
“Showing AJ a couple of basic self defense moves,” Korkie explains, leaving the kid on the mat. “Do you need to start my training today...”
“No,” Ahsoka dismisses. “You should have a full day to just settle in here before we begin. I just didn’t expect to find you entertaining AJ.”
Korkie shrugs. “Actually, he reminds me a lot of myself at his age. I was absolutely obsessed with learning about the Jedi. I know if I had the privilege to meet one then, I would have unintentionally made quite a pest.”
“Well, I hope you two have fun. Have you by any chance seen Chase? I’ve been looking for him all day.”
“Sorry, no, but Oliver and Kaz actually asked me the same thing only half an hour ago.”
The togruta frowns. “Well, thanks anyways.”
__________________________
“Thanks, you know the last few days have been pretty intense. I definitely needed to get my mind off everything.”
“Yeah, same,” Skylar responds. “And besides, we’ve never actually gotten to hang out, like not in group, but just us. You know, to get to know each other,” she rambles.
Chase nods. “Yeah, I get what you mean. It’d probably be better for the team as a whole if we were all more proactive in just spending time together. There’d be a lot less tension if we knew and trusted each other more.”
“Yeah…that’s what I meant.” Skylar sighs. “You’re right though, but every time I try to connect with Bree and I think we’re making progress, somehow she always seems to go back to disliking me. Like now it’s about AJ’s list…”
Chase groans. “Ever since AJ created that list I can’t go ten minutes without someone commenting about it.”
“Wait, so it’s still upsetting you too?”
“If someone said you were the most useless person on the team, wouldn’t you be upset?”
“AJ said you were the least powerful, not useless. And that’s only compared to four other incredibly powerful heroes. You know, that’s the whole concept of the Elite Force, being the best of the best.”
“I get your point, but you’re not exactly helping.”
Skylar takes a breath. “You might not be the most powerful person on this team, but without you I wouldn’t even have my powers back. It took you a matter of days to figure out something that had stumped the superhero world for thousands of years.” She steps in closer. “It’s not how we measure up to each other that matters.”
Chase shakes his head. “If you really believed that, would you have been so desperate to get your powers back in the first place?”
“That’s not the same. Without my powers, I… I was a liability. The team needs you.”
“You already proved that’s not true.”
“Then maybe I need you.”
The statement hangs in the air. Skylar swallows and looks at the ground. “I mean, we all do. Your sister needs your support. Oliver wouldn’t have his confidence if not for your coaching…” she trails off. “We need you, okay? Just the way you are.”
And a part of him is touched, her care piercing through his frustration.
But she doesn’t know how weary he is of trying to be the person his family needs him to be.
_____________________________
“Wait,” Ahsoka holds up her hand. “How did the Arcturion even end up here in the first place?”
“Kaz and I found it in his secret hoarding room,” Oliver explains.
“They were supposed to take it to Mr. Davenport’s Facility Y like Chase instructed, but decided to keep it around to experiment with instead,” Skylar finishes, resting her hands on her hips.
“And now it’s missing,” Kaz interjects. “So we need to figure out who took it.”
“Well, who else knew it was here?”
“No one,” says Chase while Skylar responds with “Bree.”
A dawning realization passes over the Chalderan’s face.
“So, where is Bree?” Ahsoka questions.
______________________________
“What did you blast me for?” Bree demands, still trying to clear her head.
“I wasn’t aiming at you, I just wanted to knock you away from the Arcturion,” Skylar explains. “I was trying to save your life.”
“Yeah, if you had actually touched it,” and Oliver’s voice carries a slight tremble, “Well…there’d be one less member of the Elite Force.”
“Wait, that thing could have killed me?”
“Yeah,” Ahsoka responds.
Chase, frowning, asks, “What were you doing with it anyways?”
Bree shrugs. “I don’t know, I just found it in the cabinet.” She takes a breath. “I thought if I touched it I would get more powers.”
“But why?” Chase presses. “What’s going on?”
“It’s just…speed was always my thing. And then, Skylar shows up and has speed too, and I just…didn’t feel needed anymore.”
“Bree, you know that’s not true…” Skylar assures.
“But you made me feel like I was.” Bree interjects. “Even after we resolved our differences after Mighty Med, you still had this attitude that being a superhero are you better than me, and then you got your powers back and…I started to realize that maybe you were right.” She looks over at the Arcturion. “I just wanted to feel special again.”
Skylar stands there quietly, gaze fixed rigidly on the floor. Chase takes Bree aside to talk, concerned. Ahsoka waits for the siblings to finish before clearing her throat.
“Chase and I will take the Arcturion to Facility Y in the morning” she asserts. “Kaz, Oliver, and we will be taking Korkie out to see the city and actually make our new team member feel welcome, while you two,” she points at Skylar and Bree, “sort out your issues.”
___________________________
Things seem to work out okay at the end of the day, at least in some ways.
Korkie clicks well with the other guys; Kaz and Oliver are set up in front of the TV to introduce him to the world of video games.
Bree and Skylar finally seem to have connected; she finds them in their room chattering excitedly in hushed voices about something.
The only one with a dark cloud hanging over them is Chase.
She finds him in Mission Command, pouring over something on one of the cyberdesks.
“Hey,” she greets, and he looks up. “What are you working on?”
He seems hesitant to answer. “Geo-leaping.”
“What?”
“It’s a form of teleporting. All of Krane’s soldier’s were outfitted with the bionic ability.”
“You’re going to upgrade your chip,” she says, realizing.
“I’m not sure,” he admits. “I feel like a criminal even thinking about it.”
“Why?”
He sighs. “AJ should have never made that list, but he did have a point. Adam, Bree, and I were designed to complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. And Leo’s abilities happened to fall into that balance too. But this team is something different. Maybe we need to upgrade our bionics in order to achieve that.”
She leans down, resting her arms on the desk. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you and Bree upgrading your bionics. You’ve mastered what you have; there’s no question of you being able to handle more power,” she pauses, her voice slightly lowering. “But you shouldn’t do it to make up for not being as powerful as the superheroes…because you most certainly are.” She stands up, straightening her composure. “AJ is a young child, with no battle or war experience. He only assigned values to powers based on how he imagines they’d play out in those situations, but he doesn’t actually know how effective any particular ability is in reality. He also doesn’t take into account each individual’s mastery over their powers, or their hand-to-hand combat, or their ability to strategize or work undercover….” she trails off. “AJ is just a gifted, but naive, kid who wants to show off and be helpful to his idols.” She smiles. “I mean, come on, if I was really the second to least powerful member of this team, would Skylar and Kaz still go pale when I offer a friendly sparring session?”
Chase laughs. “Yeah, the amount of power you displayed trying to protect me from being crushed to death really made an impact on them.”
Ahsoka shrugs. “They deserved it. And you know I could have called any of them to aid me on Mandalore, but I didn’t. And I wouldn’t have even if Skylar did have her powers.” She leans back down. “You are one of the most dangerous people I have ever met.”
“You know, I don’t think anyone’s ever told me that, or even implied it as a compliment.”
“Why shouldn’t it be one?” she reasons. “Anyone can abuse what power they have, it doesn’t mean we should be afraid to have power at all. We just have to remember the responsibility that comes with it.”
“Well, considering you’re certainly one of the most dangerous people I’ve ever met,” Chase responds, almost closing the distance between them, “I don’t see any way I could make an argument against that.”
“Then maybe you should just accept it,” she whispers, and they’re so close he can feel the breath of her words against his lips.
