I’m trying this thing out where I don’t do my usual lineart that takes hours. Instead, I refine my initial sketch. The erasing takes less time than actually redoing the lineart. And i’m also trying out thing thing where I don’t use a thousand layers. Scary but new. Scary but necessary.

HOLD ON - Eyes Nose Lips (ENL)’s latest chapter! I’m so so so so incredibly happy to be able to finally reach this point in their story. I’m so so so so happy and thankful to have everyone journey with Asami and Leona and their “togetherness”. This story means so so so so much to me. It is very much quite personal. Though I never think of myself as Asami, she is very much a separate person from me, a lot of myself is her.

I was never really a writer. I get nervous just think about the fact that I actually hit “publish”. I would wake up in the middle of the night just thinking “maybe it’s time to delete this shit”

But I guess in a way it’s liberating.

This is something I made for me.

When I make art, half of it is the process and how I go through with the piece. And the other half of it is how people would perceive it, how they’d feel about it. How much it will affect them even if it’s only being looked at by their eyes for like a few seconds through their phone or whatever device they’re using to consume media. A lot of that process for me, as an artist involves a lot of planning, timing and worrying about execution. Because in the end, this art thing was my full-time job, my livelihood. But this fic, this is for ME. I don’t make anything out of it. BUT WHEN SOMEONE READS AND COMMENTS, IT MEANS THE ABSOLUTE WORLD TO ME LIKE YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW.

As a young Beni, I always enjoyed writing essays. I would join essay-writing contests all throughout school. I never won anything. Sometimes I would get a certificate for trying and participating. Didn’t matter.

My fics aren’t proof-read or anything. Grammar is not my strongest skill. BUT I FEEL LIKE I ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT HERE. I’m so incredibly proud of myself. I’m happy to share this moment (their moment) with everyone who has the time and patience to read through all of this. So here ya go!

I stopped uploading the separate chapters here on Tumblr bc it was such a pain to edit >.< BUT IF YOU’RE INTERESTED, IT’S ALL ON AO3.
