ITS A PREETTY DARN GOOD WEAPON

Aerospray gets a lot of flack and is called the worst weapon in the game only because the people who claim this are playing it wrong

And i say this as a relatively competitive person who defaults to ranked modes and only plays turf to take breaks from ranked/experiment with new weapons

Aerospray is a supporting weapon and its biggest strengths are its ability to ink turf and load its soecial quickly. Thats because its a supporting weapon!!

Many people dislike it because it requires 5 hits to splat a teammate unlike the usual 3 or 4.

However this should not be as big of an issue once you get used to the weapon because it has many ways to counter this.

First off it is a lightweight weapon meaning the aerospray has the fastest swim speed that there is (not including with gear) and inks extremely well due to the fast fire rate so you can move around the map very easily to splat an opponent.

Second off its a supporting weapon so you'll usually be around someone who will either deliever the final shot or simply help you splat your opponent

Third off fizzy bomb is an underrated gem and broken with bomb power up and I always throw them charged as my long range attacks to make up for the aerosprays short range and it's very easy to splat your opponent or at least damage them and get them caught in your ink for a second so you get an oppurtunity to get at em. It also helps slow opponents down which is useful for clam blitz and rainmaker.

Reefslider is a special that too many people use as a panic button like splashdown, but it's more situational. Although flawed, it has its benefits. You can run away from opponents who aren't in your immediate area and it immediately beats most specials (booyah bomb, triple splashdown, splattercolor screen, ultrastamp, ink vac, triple inkstrike, big bubbler, etc.) and if it can't beat it it does a good job running away from things.

Running (swimming) away from things is very important as an aerospray because you need to know what fights you can't pick and respond to that as early as possible, luckily its easy thanks to what i mentioned before (high fire rate = more ink on the ground, fast swim speed) and also fizzy bombs leave a path of ink after you throw them!!

Personally for my gear i use lots of ink saver, ink recovery, sub power up and ink percentage reducer, as well as special power-up to increase reefslider range

Reefslider is also good with cheesing splat zones

I will never stop defending aerospray!!

And im like grinding it cause the boss im trying rn is so damn hard!!!!! This was the first time i tried this new cel shading style inspired by the spaicy project, not sure if you've heard ab that.
