Note to adult allistics, when an autistic person/child asks you “why?” after you tell them to do something, or when you tell them a rule,

THEY AREN’T TRYING TO BE RUDE.

We just want to know why we’re going to be doing something, or looking for a general explanation of what you told us. Saying “because I told you so” is illogical and confusing to us, it just doesn’t make sense! Stop getting mad at us for genuinely asking “why?” we’re not INSULTING you, we just need a reason as to why you told us to do something.
