askaph-canfirstfour FAQ
Are these your OCs? Ontario is. However, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Quebec belong to my RP partners in the APHShenanigans community. They’re all really awesome, and I really recommend checking them out. (QC NS NB)
Will you include Matthew? Mattie is just as much a Canadian founder as the four of them. I won’t include him unless you ask for him, because art and pain seem to run hand in hand, but don’t hesitate to include the dork!
Will you answer for the other provinces as well? This is an ask blog for the First Four, but they’re all still Canadians and 90% of their history 20th century on majorly include the others as well. So, basically the same case as Matthew; don’t be shy to bring them in, but I won’t just be including them.
Ship stuff? I’ll do shippy things, but no R-18 content, please. And I personally don’t headcanon the provinces/states as siblings unless they share original colonizers (meaning AmeCan is also safe with me, because Matthew was colonized by France first, not England), so don’t feel too hesitant about it! Just as a pointless side note, my provincial OTP is QueTario (QC ON), so especially don’t hesitate to ask about those two.
My ask hasn’t been answered? I’m a very busy person, what with school and all. Also, I have pretty bad ADHD, so it’s extremely hard for me to just sit down and draw, especially when I’m in a creative rut. So not only is it hard to focus, it also takes me a long time to complete any task in general. Sit back and relax; it’ll be answered soon! And you’re always allowed to IM me/send another ask if you’re still worried or think Tumblr might’ve eaten it - I don’t bite! =3
What the hell is up with their relations? Hahaha… I’m going to simplify this as best I possibly can, because this is… Weird. Very weird. • Quebec is the little brother to Acadia. • Acadia is mother to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. • QC is older brother to NS and NB. • France fathers QC. NS’ dad is Scotland. NB is fatherless. • Ontario is England’s daughter, Newfoundland’s little sister, and related to the rest of England’s colonies (please don’t make me name her entire family tree…) • ON was the one who killed Acadia in the Deportation during the Seven Years War, not England. As she says, “His order, my action.” • ON and NS are cousins, but they’re close to the point they’re basically siblings, and refer to each other as such.
History moments? Seven Years is a sensitive topic for all four of them, and if you want cold hard angst and want to pull them all in, it’s probably the best way to go about that. On the other hand, there are several other moments for one, two, or three of them separately. Think Province of Canada for QC and ON, Halifax Explosion for NS, English takeover (either Acadian or theirs) for QC, NS, and NB, Black October (1970) for QC, and so on and so forth. If there’s something I don’t know about, trust me, I’ll go and do my research on it before answering.

Hey guys!
So sorry about the inactivity, especially so early on in the blog’s life. I’m still really working out my art style, and school’s been keeping me on my feet (last week was exams).
I just wanted to say that chances are I’ll be not doing digital art for it anymore, as I really have no motivation to open up Paint Tool SAI and colour. I have probably five asks done in sketches, so I know. ^.^;
Rather, the art will be done traditionally. I’m both more familiar with it (so better art! :D) and it’s plain and simple more enjoyable for me to do.
Apologies for my disorganization with this. It’s the first art dedicated blog I’m running, so everything about it is still relatively new.
Thanks for reading! And hopefully understanding! -Hautmun

I’m sorry, guys. I’ve been away on vacation so I’ve had little to no time to draw anything. So enjoy a Quebec with a (very) wrong colour palette.
