Hi, hey, happy new year! Here’s this year's improvement round up. I don't think I posted any of the shown art on here but I figured I’d share it anyway.

I’m going to try and post on all of my social media as much as possible this year, hopefully drawing more often too. 

July is a photo I took at a fair we have here because I didn’t draw anything that month. (and im Stranger Things trash so all the pics I took at that fair were Stranger Things related since s3 had just come out and for some reason that was kinda the ‘theme’)

I can’t tell if there’s been much improvement but at this point, it’s custom for me to make one of these every year.

Yet Another Miraculous Theory

We interrupt this long hiatus on this page for a random ass theory that maybe isn’t even a theory (because idk where else to post the random theories I come up with)

(Preface: I have missed a few episodes which I’m trying to catch up on so I might be missing a few facts but I don’t think that this theory requires too much evidence since part of it already seems to be canon, I’m just speculating about ‘history’ repeating)

Time for yet another conspiracy theory about Miraculous Ladybug. Is this my 2nd? 3rd theory? Now this one might be over-analyzing but I thought it was interesting either way. DISCLAIMER: Please ensure you’re mostly up to date on season 3 of Miraculous Ladybug or some of this might be spoilers.

In Season 3 Episode 16, ‘Feast’, Nathalie gets sick again and almost faints. Now of course, within the context, she could have gotten faint from shock at seeing the museum’s new ‘display’, a hundred-year-old dormant Sentimonster, which we learn Fu created, that is super powerful because it’s sole purpose is to devour the miraculous, but Adrien brings up that his mother had also gotten ‘dizzy spells’ before, and Nathalie has already been shown to being sick (coughing to the point of collapsing). Now, I don’t think they ever mentioned how Emilie Agreste died, only that she had disappeared approx a year prior to when S1E1 starts. (As mentioned in the first Christmas Special)

I believe that the peacock miraculous is so powerful that when it's used too often (or in the wrong way), it drains the user's energy and causes them to become weak/sick even outside of the transformation. Technically speaking, it would make sense if this was the case, as the Miraculous/kwami seems to give the user the ability to essentially create their own automaton by scratch (not sure if she does it to all her sentimonsters but it’s as seen in episode 23 of Season 3, Ladybug, where Mayura creates a sentimonster limb by limb to look (and act) exactly like Ladybug) as well as controlling it.This, of course, is similar to the Butterfly, though really Hawkmoth only ‘creates’ the butterfly and feeds off of other people’s negative energy, whereas Mayura uses a single object (an Imok) to control a sentimonster that she, usually, has created. 

Perhaps with each sentimonster the user creates, the weaker the user themselves become and therefore, since Nathalie is also getting sick from using the Peacock Miraculous, (she seemed fine before she got involved) and the reason why Emilie is dead now is because of the Peacock Miraculous (according to her wikia page; I don’t remember if Gabriel has ever mentioned it in the show though), and whenever Gabriel is at her little coffin under his Mansion, he always mentions it being his fault or something along those lines, does that mean that one day, Nathalie will also become like Emilie? (that’s probably close to being a run-on sentence but it’s fine)

I mean since it’s already canon that Emilie’s death (coma? idk pretty sure she’s dead and the wish Gabriel is going to make when/if he gets the miraculouses (miraculi?) is just to bring her back to life...which is really wholesome when you think about it and I’m sure everyone would understand if he just...you know, asked instead of trying to take by force? but I digress) would it not be canon that Nathalie could also die if she’s not careful enough with the Peacock miraculous? We already know both Gabriel and Nathalie are misusing the miraculi, since Nooroo has said multiple times that Gabriel shouldn’t be using his power that way (but also if he wasn’t the villain, then what would the use of the other miraculi be??)

Anyway, maybe I’m slow for realizing this but oh well, here’s this shortish theory/not really theory anyway. I’ll try to get back to posting art haha

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything art related here. Sorry ‘bout that! Kinda abandoned most of my social medias (except maybe instagram, which I post on occasionally) after i got back to school. If you’d like to see some of my school projects, though, I’d love to share that too. 

Here’s a self-portrait that’s been in the works for like 3 months. I started this in the summer, then left it because i couldnt decide if i wanted to wait for my hair to change (which I did, since I finished it a couple days ago and my hair has been purple since the end of summer). I started with the black and white for the base values, then added colour using the overlay tool. Here’s both versions since the black and white looks pretty neat too.

CCS: Syaoran is homosexual/bi: a theory (may contain spoilers; read at your own risk)

Disclaimer(s): I have nothing against the LGBTQ+ community, and actually know a few people who are part of it who are really awesome and talented. I mean no offence to anyone when I talk about this, since there’s already several references in CCS to homosexual relationships (Tomoyo likes Sakura as more than a friend; the obvious Touya and Yukito, and even a few subtle references to Tomoyo’s mother (Sonomi) liking Sakura’s mother (Nadeshiko) as more than just friends/cousins) and I’m just trying to point out another possible reference. Please try not to come at me for being homophobic; im not trying to say anything about Sakura forcing or turning him ‘straight’.

Also, I already stated in the title, but this might have mild spoilers to the original Card Captor Sakura series, and just a smidge of the new Clear Card season. If you haven’t watched either series’, i suggest to you don’t read this. Why would you even read a theory for a show you havent watched anyways?? 

Lastly, this is obviously in reference to the newer dub(?) and original Japanese, since the old dub got rid of every bit of romance/homosexuality/creepy familial stuff/etc (#salty) so if for some reason you’ve only watched the original 2000 (North American?) TV dub, you might be even more confused than someone who hasn’t watched the show at all. Anyways, enough warnings/disclaimers, onto the theory.

This theory might seem obvious since we already know Syaoran/Shaoran/Xiaolang (however you want to spell it; for consistency sake, for the rest of this, I'll use Syaoran) had a small crush.infutation on Yukito, but hear me out. After basically rewatching the original series 3 times+ (if rewatching countless clips bc im an obsessive weeb counts as additional times), I picked up on a few things Syaoran himself, as well as his ‘fiancee’/cousin Meilin/Meiling says (consistency sake, next time I mention her, she’ll be Meiling) in the newer season.

Now, we learned in episode 51 the main reason Syaoran liked/was drawn to Yukito was because of Yue's Moon power(?). This, on one hand, could already debunk Syaoran's homosexuality since it was magic drawing him to Yukito? Plus, they can't have that many homosexual characters in a childrens anime, right? If we include Syaoran, there would be a total of five characters who are (possibly or obviously) into the same sex; Touya, Yukito, Sonomi, Tomoyo, and possibly Syaoran.

Our theory could end here, but Syaoran doesn't seem bothered by the fact that he likes Yukito, who is in fact a man (duh). Rather than that, he seems confused as to why he feels the same way he does with Yukito when he sees Sakura, which can be seen when he keeps shaking his head whenever he thinks of Sakura (obviously, this is also just him denying his feelings, buy why would he do that? He didnt deny his feelings for Yukito). It's also seen in the same episode when Yue tells him why he was so drawn to Yukito. 

He starts to question 'Why does she keep coming up?' whenever he stares at the bear he made. He even gets embarrassed when Yukito asks about the bear, since in his mind, he was probably considering giving it to him before abruptly shouting (or thinking?) "Like I said, why do I have to give it to her?!" As if he thinks he has to, because it's not 'socially appropriate' to give it to Yukito (possibly?) After all, just because he thought of her when Yukito asked 'are you going to give it to someone', doesn't mean he's obliged to give it to Sakura.

As he's running away from Yukito, he thinks "Why does she keep coming up? The only times I turn red or my heart feels like it will explode is when I see him!" This could show his confusion, knowing he likes Yukito. This could also imply he's perfectly fine with liking Yukito, and could possibly be aware he likes/liked men preferrably. 

Now for this part, I'm not just pulling that 'likes men' part out of my ass just because of that one line. There’s more to it than just that.

Later, I think in Clear Card, when Meiling returns for a bit and stays at Sakura's, in epissode 13, she mentions Syaoran never showing interest in any girls when he was in Hong Kong. This could either be a sign that he's just really bad at talking to girls, or that he just never liked girls in the first place until Sakura came along. 

Which means that until he started having feelings for Sakura, he could have been closeted gay. Or, since he was 'obliged' to be Meling's fiance, closeted bi. The other option, which I'm not sure is possible, but I might as well include it for theory sake, is he's gay, but 'straight' or bisexual for Sakura.

Anyways, that's all I have to say. I just thought it was a nice canon to have. I always found Syaoran's reactions to Yukito really cute and hilarious, so even if he didn't end up with Sakura and remained his crush on Yukito, I'd probably be happy too. Even though I love SyaoSaku-- 

Also, sorry this isnt technically art related. I've already wrote one theory (on Miraculous Ladybug, which turned out to be true) so I figured why not let out this one too because it's now my canon.

So I thought I’d try the perspective tool on the drawing software I use and what better way to do that than with a scenery type drawing? 

It’s kinda meh, I know. But to be fair, its one of the few times I’ve ever used any kind of perspective. And I like it as it is. it may be lacking a few things but I didnt want to over clutter it.

Here’s what I've been up to recently. Since I couldn’t officially participate in inktober, I decided to redraw a few of my favourite drawings from last years inktober. There’s a couple more I wanna redraw but here’s the 4 I did so far. Most of the materials used will be in the tags.

The shattered mirror one was from last year’s day 13, which I’d made Horror/Unlucky The demon looking one was from day 3, which I’d made Demon/Devil The coffee cozy one was from day 4, which I’d made Starbucks. (but this redraw is just generic coffee brand) And the screaming lizard/snake girl was from day 8, which was fantasy, and is my currently unnamed snake villian character with 4 eyes (if you cant tell, an orange pair and a purple pair)

This is my OC Persephone. I’ve posted her before, I think. Rather, multiple redraws of her. So here’s my most recent redraw. I really think my realism is improving.

In case no one knows about this character shes part of a series I have, mainly in my head, but Persephone’s is one of the girls I have a story written for. Persephone is named after the Greek Goddess of vegetation and spring growth, the queen of the underworld. She is named this because she was called out by the goddess herself to protect her. Persephone’s real named--or her civilian name--is Thalia Floros/Phloros (either spelling works). She was once a regular 18 year old senior just about to graduate high school. When she was younger, her father had mysteriously gone missing and was supposedly found dead due to some sort of freak accident. But Thalia and her mother didn’t want to believe he was dead. The police didn’t let them see the body because it was too ‘violently mutilated’, so they found it a bit sketchy. One day, Thalia had a vivid dream. In this dream, she was in a field complete with willow trees and an oasis. A beautiful women appears claiming to be the goddess, Persephone and tells Thalia that the goddesses, and her father, are in danger. And thus, she becomes another Persephone; the one who was predetermined to protect the real goddess. Her next job is to find her five other allies, who are also named after the goddesses; Artemis, Aphrodite, Athena, Hera, and Hestia.
