Promise broken...so time for a new Promise! But...

...at first a little explanation.

Hey guys and gals! Ansem here(yeah still not dead),

Do you know that feeling that you got sorted out a lot of things in your life to make more space for the really important things? Like writing the stories you have in your mind? Or family? Or reading the books you collected since a long time on a pile of shame?

Yep, that's what I encountered. And here's a small glimpse of my life...if anyone is interested

I did this just that around the time of my last Journal entry and then *bam* more work at the office hit me and I saw that it wouldn't end anytime soon. It was every day the same time consuming work with no real progress and three hours of my time wasted every day for driving with public transport. I don't mind using public transport but 3 hours a day is a lot of time. Too much time indeed, which I could spend otherwise with my family or in any other and especially, productive manor. Additional to this comes the fact that my day starts at 5am and ends not when I'm home, which is mostly at 7:30pm. Some days, I have the luck to write from 10:30pm until midnight...but those are the good days. Most of the days there are other things to do which need my attention.

It was exhausting and in no way satisfying, so I had to make a decision and searched for a new job. To find a new job is, to be honest, in my field of work not the hardest task. Not even in the current situation. What is the hard part for me is to let your old coworkers behind. And with that I mean just the people with whom I worked. I will not miss that job as a system administrator and IT guy for every problem, or anyone from the higher ups. For me it's difficult to leave a workplace behind, which is still in a transition and you know it will not work if they find no one to replace you. And yes, I know that the situation of the company is not my fault, I did what I could in my time to replace and renew as much Hard- and Software as possible but they simply ignored their infrastructure for several years without doing anything.

But I know I have to move on or I will be stuck in this place and job forever. Change is good and, honestly, it's also unavoidable. And sometimes you have to be a little selfish or otherwise no one else will be it for you.

So, what do I want to tell you with all  of this? First of all, I wanted to get this off my chest even so almost no one will read this, which is totally fine but I hate to start something like a story(or multiple stories in my case) and then stop without giving at least a little bit of an explanation. Too many stories out there are doomed to never be finished and I don't want to be that kind of guy. I want to finish what I have started.

With that said, I plan to upload more often as soon as I start my new job at the the first of April(yeah, yeah I know but that's no joke), maybe even sooner. Chapter 43 of Two of a Kind is halfway done, the rework of chapter 8 is as good as complete and there will be also a continuation of False Paradise and Savage Force. Yep, all the good stuff is coming back and will be finished. That's my new promise.

I’m back!

Hello there, dear reader. I'm back from the dead! After several months of unclear work conditions, several weeks of sickness and a lot of other things to do in my life. I'm finally back doing what I like the most, which is telling stories.  

I'll try to use as many of my daily free time as possible for my favorite hobby, to continue with all the stories I've began in the past. That means at first and foremost the continuation and rework of Two of a Kind, as well as False Paradise and Savage Force. I still have huge plans for all three of them but Two of a Kind will get most of my attention.

To give you all an impression of what to expect from ToaK in the future, I've reworked the first chapter "Decision" again(don't worry - I focus on grammar and spelling) and just added a new POV chapter that takes place six years in the future of my story. I've always wanted to give the reader an idea of what to expect in the later chapters and decided to add this small glimpse. I hope you all will enjoy it.

That all said. I will try to consistently write and upload chapters but I can and will not guarantee a consist upload scedule but I'm eager to work on my writing and constructive criticism is always welcome. I also wanted to thank every reader for their interest in my amateur scribling and I hope you're all doing well during this hard times.
