I want to thank my camera, an old, battered, slightly broken second hand Canon Powershot a540. This camera has accompanied me almost everywhere in the past year and despite my fears it wouldn't last a whole year, it never let me down. Thank you cammy.

Saturday 1st 2012. Another Autumn Arrives.

Via Flickr: Day 363. Home home home! Sailing this morning followed by a non-stop day sorting everything out around the house, we literally didn't stop from waking up at 9am till having dinner at 8pm. This was taken during a few moments break between sorting the laundry and going food shopping. I don't believe it is autumn again already. When was summer?!?

Friday 31st August 2012. Cowland. 

Via Flickr: Day 362. Dedham in Essex. We walked alongside the river across the Vale to Flatford (which is across the border in Suffolk). I have such great childhood memories of these places, visiting with my family and boating on the river and such great memories since childhood with Martin, again boating on the river and evening walks when the place has been completely deserted. We realised that it has been almost four years to the day since we last visited and walked across the Vale, it seems incredible that so much time could have passed and how weird it is that it feels like everything yet nothing has changed. If that makes sense. There are lots of cows in the Vale, Martin was head butted by one here once, I have been wary of cows ever since.

Tuesday 28th August 2012. Piglet Barrier.

Via Flickr: Day 359. Second day on the Suffolk Coast path. Chillesford to Thorpeness via Snape Maltings and a lot of pig farms. Martin hurt his leg at some point so we finished the walk at Thorpeness. In total we walked 30 miles of the 60 mile walk in a day and half, so not too bad.

Monday 27th August 2012. Suffolk Coast Path.

Via Flickr: Day 358. Walking the Suffolk Coast Path, we set off from Landguard, Felixstowe this morning, caught the ferry across to Bawdsey Quay, headed up the coast as far at the river Ore and then started heading inland again to cross the river. This was taken around Butley. We managed a total of 18 miles of the 60 mile walk today and wild camped overnight in some woodlands near Chillesford.

Saturday 25th August 2012. Nosy Parkers. 

Via Flickr: Day 356. I turned around to find this, it was so funny. We went on a little trip to Burstall and Elmsett, spent some time being nosy, picked wild berries, descended on the village shop (probably confusing and terrifying the woman in there), bought a chocolate cake, sat at a picnic bench in a children's play area eating it before playing on all the play equipment. Such an amusing afternoon.
