Another old pic of Connor from Detroit Become Human, which was called "Pet Therapy". Again, the original work was a little strange and the expression looked absolutely awful. Those are generally difficult to get right and realistic in 3D, especially when they're done by hand with no face capture. I just had to correct it.
The Sumo model belongs to Quantic Dream. Connor made with DAZ Studio.

I was checking the Obey Me! Nightbringer models and they look waayyy better than what we originally see. In my opinion, Solmare should have picked a better shading technique, because the in-game ones just can't compare, and the difference can be seen in this screenshot alone.
The models are very well done. Not particularly detailed in some areas due to the limited memory (it's a mobile game after all), but still very decent and nice to look at.
Something I noticed is the trick they used to fake the classic Anime black line on the nose. It's not painted on the texture, they actually modeled a stripe and attached it.
Tumblr media
This creates the illusion of a black line, without the need to use additional techniques for normals and whatnot. However, if you look at it from the top, it's quite funny:
Tumblr media
Obviously, this is intended for rendering purposes, in a context that does not require the character to be seen from this specific angle. It does a great job and I might try it out myself for my own Anime renders.
Note: The models can be found on MysteriaRandomthings's Ko-Fi page (free download). She ported all the brothers, Diavolo, Luke and Thirteen so far. They can be loaded in Blender with the MMD or VRM addons, as they don't come with a regular FBX format.

Beware of potential clients who may contact you via email or a freelance platform, claiming to be interested in purchasing your art, but only if you add them on Telegram to "discuss things" there.
Don't.
Ever.
Most likely, this is a big fat scam. I would strongly advise staying away from anyone who claims to be busy, receives an excessive number of messages, and insists on using Telegram as their sole communication platform. They may even pressure you into downloading the app if you don't already have it.
Greedy people will go to great lengths to take advantage of artists online. It's crucial to exercise caution and prioritize your own protection. If you are a beginner, it's important not to accept low rates or work for free in exchange for "visibility." You should establish your boundaries and conduct business on your own terms, rather than bending to the client's demands.
I had my fair share of questionable experiences, and unfortunately, it doesn't get any better with time. It is crucial for you to recognize who deserves your trust and never compromise for the benefit of others. Always prioritize yourself and never do anything that might favor someone else at your own expense.

First set of three Obey Me! characters in CGI form, specifically we have Lucifer, Mammon and my personal MC. These are actually revamped works from the original rendered result, which wasn't satisfying me anymore.
I will definitely work on the other characters as I make the models, it may take a bit because I generally start with the Anime design and then make the realistic variation after that.
Right now, I need to decide who to create next. Not gonna lie, I'm really tempted to model Diavolo.

I made this as an Instagram story, but I'm posting it here as well because in the end, it is about all the art accounts that I own.
Yay for self-reflection!

It's quite warm again here, so have a refreshing render with the FFXV Pocket models, which I haven't used in a long time. I also got the chance to work on the Gladio base, which I didn't make in the past.
This is a concept idea I had on my least for two years. I'm trying to tick off most of my old projects so that I can get to the new stuff as well.

Why do I always make renders when it's so damn hot? Now I'm jealous of these two! 🌊
This is a very old idea. I have a lot of prompts that I added to my list ages ago and never actually used, so now I'm trying to work through it because I hate leaving things unfinished.
Again, I wasn't sure about the style for this one. I initially wanted to make it as Anime, but then I figured it would look interesting in CGI form.
The goal is to complete all the OBM character models in 2024 max, so let's hope that Solmare won't decide to add someone else (I'm low-key still hoping to see Michael though).

Can you share a google drive's link from IntheFlesh's V Devil May Cry for G8M?
Hi,
The models I use are mine (not fully optimized for DAZ and made for personal use only), so I don't have ITF's V.
I wouldn't really provide free links with someone else's work that is available for purchase, anyway... 😅

I see a lot of complaints popping up on social media regarding the 3D models of Nightbringer. There are a few things a lot of players are probably not aware of, so I’m going to address those myself for clarification:
- Their red capes are missing: Yes, that is true, but there might be a technical explanation for that. Loose fabrics in 3D are a a real pain to rig decently without using physics, because they may not look natural with the character’s movements. The manual rig can cause ugly weight painting errors that end up stretching the mesh, or deforming it in a weird way. My guess is they were unable to make them for this reason and thus decided to just leave them out completely.
- Their skintone is wrong, too white compared to the original design: Again, yes. However, the lighting is definitely the culprit. Whenever I have to render skintones (like any shade), I notice how horribly pale they look in a certain lighting condition. Usually I correct this by increasing the contrast and adding more nodes to the active shaders, so maybe they could do the same, or just make the skin textures darker. Unfortunately, I don’t know how Unity works, assuming that’s the engine they’re going with. A good difference is visible also on Beel’s skin if you compare the model presentation with the in-game sneak peek; the lighting in that area is softer and darker, thus he also looks less pale.
3D is complex, especially when you have to adapt a 2D stylized concept to the new graphics. This is also a mobile app, so there are a few limitations that a PC game wouldn’t have. A clear example of that is, again, Beel in MC’s room; it looks quite pixelated and not as crisp as the model preview, so I fear that the antialiasing is either turned off, or kept at a lower value not to make the game too heavy. On the other hand, it could just be that the picture looks like that, but the actual in-game visuals will be better, so we can only wait and see!

POV: The demon brothers are scheduled for a RAD photoshoot, so you go with them on a trip to the Devildom waterfalls... 💦💦💦 (part 1)
Aka: I needed an excuse to do more ‘wet’ renders so there you go.
In case you’re wondering, yes. I love rendering nature and using DOF.

More testing! :D
Let’s complicate things in rendering by making different angles for no reason whatsoever! 😆 It’s interesting to see how the overall lighting changes when the sun lamp is not facing the camera, though!
