I believe that I am too anxious or sensitive for the world, but that is what holds me back from living. It's the fear of getting hurt or disappointed when doing nothing is hurtful and disappointing enough. Why not risk a life of fulfillment when “hurt” and “disappointment” is inevitable? In the midst of that hurt, there is happiness and laughter. There are beautiful moments and conversations I can experience. I can't keep avoiding the inevitable. I need to get out there and live, even if it's fucking terrifying, even if it hurts, even if it's draining. I deserve to connect and experience what this life has to offer. I deserve to bloom. I deserve to live. I deserve to be seen. I am allowed to fuck up on the way. I am allowed to mess up. I am allowed to be anxious and still do it and still live. I am allowed to live. After all, I am human.
