what are your other favorite cr2 ships and some of your favorite "hints" for each? (i really love your fjorester episode scenes btw i look forward to seeing you post them every week!!)

Other than fjorester, what other cr2 ships do you feel have a very good chance of happening? like which do you think have the most hints so far?

Other ships?

Okay, so I’m pretty sure we’re seeing some Widomauk groundwork, even though it’s shaping up to be a freaking slow burn ship. 

While Molly slapping Caleb out of his trance and corning him against a wall are not the kind of sexual/romantic examples I would choose, because they are problematic for reasons others have explored much better than I could. 

I, however, do think there’s been some very good hints for this two. 

Caleb’s utter confusion and frustration with Mollymauk ‘technicolor’ Tealeaf is wonderful

Caleb convinced that Mollymauk ‘Lawful Good’ Tealeaf is the most dangerous looking of them and always pointing it out to strangers

Caleb’s approach during Molly’s backstory drop being open and welcoming. 

“I believe in second starts. That’s enough for me. Thank you, Mollymauk Tealeaf.”

Molly’s face when Caleb says that.

“Did you just make a joke?” “No.” “Shame, it was a good one.”

Caleb’s smile after Molly says that. 

There’s been several conversations

Other than that?

There’s been some obvious hints at Beauyasha but I don’t think Yasha’s into it yet and Beau has kinda dialed it down which actually gives them a much better chance of working out in the future.

Yester has been a thing too since ep one and I’ve seen some pretty solid hints to Yasha having a crush on her and Jester at least somewhat of a crush too. 

Yasha called Jester adorable the first episode

then, jumped in to save her form a guard in the first episode

The hug and blush.

Jester was in awe with Yasha the second she showed up. 

Jester insisted on leaving messages for her when she was gone and was delighted when she came back. 

Jester giving Yasha a piggyback ride. 

Yasha saving Jester in battle every time she goes down, usually getting the HDYWTDT

Muscle sisters.

The whole thing with the two of them and the strength test game in the carnival

The roommates have also had some nice shippy potential (Beau/Jester and Fjord/Molly) though considerably lower and probably could be coined to them having daily interactions with each other night and morning. 

That’s what I’ve caught so far. 

I should also mention Fjord/Caleb had some hints early on but the more we learn about them the less I see it. Caleb seems to be more in awe with Fjord and looking up to him for protection or guidance, as if he’s someone steady and confident as he could’ve once been, he talks to him when he’s scared or nervous or when he needs a decision to be made… but none of it strikes me as shippy if I’m being honest. Though I do understand that others might from their own perspective and that’s cool too :)

Yester Detective AU/Flirting Under Fire?

Jester and Nott are a scrappy detective duo that nobody takes very seriously. To be fair, they’ve had a lot of… false alarms in the past, and maybe a tendency to make conspiracy claims a little prematurely.

But one day when Jester is trying to prank one of her mom’s customers, she happens to stumble across some letters in his bag that indicate he might be involved in a mob plot of some sort.

She begins investigating (with Nott’s help of course), and ends up crossing paths with the estranged daughter of the mob boss - a tall, strange, beautiful woman named Yasha. Despite Nott’s wariness, Jester trusts Yasha, and the three of them keep prying into the conspiracy, eventually uncovering the details of an assassination plot.

During a climactic scene the three of them try and race to save the target’s life, but it seems like they might be a little late - Jester gets spotted by a lookout who pulls a gun on her. As Jester tries to talk her way out of things, Yasha reveals herself, grabs Jester and kisses her, and DARES the mook to see what happens if he tries to take a shot at the boss’s daughter’s new fiancée.

He freezes up just long enough for Nott to clock him on the head with her cane and knock him out.

Then they finish their work and save the day, while Jester ruthlessly flirts with Yasha about the kiss the entire time.

Fanfiction trope mashup: Accidental Eavesdropping+EverybodyKnows/Mistaken for Couple

It’s amazing how Yasha can just escape people’s notice. At least, others seem to think it’s amazing–she knows she stands out here, but back home the best option was often to go undetected, so she is good at not making any sound or movement.

As awkward as attention is, it’s also awkward when her own group (if that’s what they are) walk past without realizing she’s there, or speak without knowing their full audience. One day they’re all gathered in a tavern, talking about a ball they have to infiltrate. They’re huddled together like they mean to be discreet, but they’re not really quiet; Yasha can hear from the corner.

Usually Jester notices her. It’s not hard to notice Yasha if one tries. She looks around every room she enters, eyes wide and curious, and when they land on Yasha she always beams. Today Jester is still in her room, and Yasha stays out of the conversation. It’s a good thing, probably. Usually. Maybe she should join them. Maybe not–she’s not much for plans, and Jester isn’t there.

Yasha’s name piques her attention, but they still aren’t looking her way. They’re talking about arrangements. It would look strange to enter this ball as one big family of unknown name. Molly is saying Jester and Yasha will enter as a couple, and the others nod as if this requires no explanation. Yasha doesn’t notice herself lean in, or the froth spill out of her drink.

The others move on, distracted by the topic of disguises, and Molly turns his head just enough to wink at her. She knows what he’d say: that’s what people get for missing planning sessions.

Yasha isn’t convinced she’ll ever go to one again, if he’s always going to get her a date without anyone so much as looking her way.
