[Things on my altar] I've had this same tarot since I was 13. My sis bought a bunch of mail-order astrology course, and I just happily took over it since she left it behind. Taught myself how to read tarot, freaked some people out a little, but it was like a little game for me. Fucking teacher confiscated it before and I had to call my mom to come get it back for me. Thankfully she did. Thankful to have a family that doesn't find such things creepy cos my grandma is a witch. I lost this same deck and found it again at 17. Gave @yakkingyehying a bunch of readings in one of those night 'thons' in mcd and then lost it again. I found this again once more this year and I hope it'll stay with me longer this time. This deck will always be the special one. I've always had the gift of knowing and never relied on tarot, but it gives a concrete reading / validation for times when messages aren't clear for me. I always thought my knowing was just merely a skill of a mature child, but I realised it's been a type of clairvoyance, and I use my body as a tool for validation from my guides. Simple things like feeling if left or right 'weighs' heavier. You don't have to get tarot actually, there's a bunch of ways you can ask the universe for signs. Just make sure you ask for ✨CLEAR SIGNS✨. Don't be shy. 𝐎𝐦𝐠 𝐦𝐲 @𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐥𝐝?!! 😱😱😱 How could I not bring up #menstrualcups for @temasekshophouse #carboncopychallenge? I ordered this in Jan 2016 after watching a BuzzFeed video on #menstrualcup but couldn't find an affordable one in sg. Can't rmb how but I found #freedomcups and took a chance. I'm very lucky because I've only tried 2 cups so far and the one most suitable for me is my first one (pictured here). Not such an easy journey for all. I really had a newfound freedom and my relationship with my periods really improved. I could go to my muay Thai classes with confidence and not worry if my pads moved. I can also measure my flow, which came very useful cos I have #PCOS and my gynae needs me to measure. Also, peep the social outreach that they do to empower menstruating people with the cups so we can all have the education and life we deserve. Fun fact: I have anemia so when my iron levels are low, the blood stains the cup badly. When I got my levels up, it doesn't stain so badly. I've booked my cups between cycles for sterilisation and it's still good as new. I love it so much I am basically an MC evangelist. . 𝐑𝐄𝐔𝐒𝐄 your glassware! 🥰 I have been obsessed with collecting used jars and tin boxes like a magpie, and my friends and fam have been indulgent. I'm slowly able to store small amounts of spices and what nots for cooking and some kitchen spells. It feels so shabby-chic, eclectic and cottage-witch. I can't wait to have my own home when I can store all these nicely on my shelves. I love how irregular shaped they are. I guess I'm just like my mom hoarding Tupperwares, but just that I'm hoarding glass jars and not spending a single cent on them. These are 𝐒𝐎𝐀𝐏𝐍𝐔𝐓𝐒 for laundry! Yes they have suds!!! 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐩𝐞 👉 to see the suds in action. -- Aka soapberry, reetha, so many names...they are native to the Himalayan and Southern India. Our asian ancestors have so much wisdom in their conscious way of life, I am ashamed I only got to know of these through western eco-trends 😅 💕Special thanks to @troveofgaia who first educated me on soapnuts! I have been testing these out with my laundry for about a year now. I had initial worries of it not being powerful enough, not soapy enough, no scent, etc. But all my worries gone away when I kinda found how much my ratio of soapnuts to use. These bunch of soapnuts can be used for at least 5 more washes before they completely breakdown. I made the noob mistake of buying linen bags to contain them, when I could just throw them in my socks. The best thing about this, is I realised that I am a wee bit allergic to commercial detergents. Some people also use it for 'shampooing', but unfortunately it didn't work for me. They smell like dried logans, but inedible! Soapnuts are strong and yet gentle enough for delicates, silk, batik, scarfs and our pretty ethnic clothes. It's so amazing I found these because otherwise delicates detergent often are costly. In 2020, I decided to stop posting much photos in my feed because I felt that I did not have the right intentions and I was over concerned about what people say or did not say. I guess I was a little hard on myself and it took some time to find my nonchalantlce again. In retrospect, it's still important to feature snippets of the good I have in my life for my own pleasure. The hojicha gateau and shou mei white tea was good shit and may my life continue to be blessed with good shit like good food, good friends and the good money to maintain and improve my good life. Made in #🇸🇬 Shout-out 1: You guys know I cannot shut up about @rough__beauty. I really love her philosophy and her brand, not to mention her soap. There's a gentle and rustic vibe to it, yet so neat and not so rugged like #wabisabi. Since using CP Soap, I've no need to buy a facial cleanser. The soap is used for my face and body. Initially, my face was super oily, but my skin soon regulated itself. It's my m.o. to gift this as farewell gifts, cos I really want my friends to try them out. Anyway, I finally decided to make a commitment to subscribe to her bi-monthly soap club. For only $27 every other month, you get 3 surprise soaps. I don't think there's a single product I don't like about so far. Hope this will make a smol difference for them. (Caveat: It's still impossible for me to use soap for my hair. #apocalypse skill prep: Make soap from scratch. Made my first #coldprocess soap ever thanks to a class at @sugarnspicesg before circuit breaker. We learnt to saponify olive, coconut, castor oil, scented with Clary sage & cedar wood. The dusty powder you see on the top is echinacea powder. Didn't want to add any colors or mica cos I like it ugly and naked. It's a shame that you need license to handle lye in Singapore. I wanna see how I can make lye from fat like #fightclub. Tried #Jamu for the first time! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. How could I have so many Indonesian friends and have not tried this hahaha.
