Diary dump. :) D198 - 17Jul2023 - Monday Yesterday it was my son first day of summer school and I was also inside the school accompanying him.  Yes, school for little kids are starting again for Face to Face back to school. And this Face to Face summer class purpose, is for them to learn physical contact, social activities with other people.  But mask is still required for safety concerns. Since covid still not yet really die down.  

He was playing by his own because there was still no other students/kids around and he seems a very brave one :D  While I was talking with the other teacher, he suddenly approach me and pull down his mask and he was saying he needs to wipe mouth.  I am so happy and touched that he remembers what I said and taught him at home.  Yes, due to covid, I train my kids not just to wipe their mouth or nose or rubbing their eyes, using their hands that is not clean.  They need to disinfect their hands by washing or wiping using wet wipes before they can touch their face.  This may seem too dramatic or stagy to other people; when my family got hit by covid before, I was so scared and I never been scared this much.  But health and cleanliness come first to me and it is my priority so I don’t mind if others think of me that way.

Today, I accompany my son again to the school (this will be for. a week, it’s school thing).   So today, they learn about going comfort room and washing hands accordingly.  Yes, I know kids at age 3 and above have already learned that at home during those pandemic times.  But school also help us parents to guide our kids as well, about routines and such.  I am so happy and touched again to see how my son dry his hand after washing.  His hand was still damp after from the teacher wiping (which i don’t blame the teacher and it is unavoidable because they are many children in a class), and he himself look for something to dry his hands. He saw a tissue roll and got few squares, I guide a bit (because he still cannot break tissue paper properly) and he dries his hand the way we use to dry his hands in the house.  I was so touched and nearly cried. sorry if this is emotional to me, because seeing him brining the good routines and habits outside make me feel more at ease and worry free when I will leave him on school :)

And these happenings are very memorable to me that I want to remember and I said to myself I need to blog it (since this blog of mine is personal and I write anything under the sun).  And seeing my children doing the things and remembering the things I have taught them while growing up makes me feel accomplished as a mother but I know, I still have a lot to learn and I still have a long way to go, but this result can be a good start :D  This maybe sound cliche to others, “I maybe very strict and a very straightforward person but this is how my personality is and how I teach my kids to be good” and yes, I never miss to pray at night and hope that the one up above never give up on guiding me in guiding my children.
