You sat at the table with a cup of iced coffee you just prepared for yourself, if Starbucks refused to release pumpkin spice in August then you would just make your own pumpkin spice iced coffee. You clutched your pen between your pointer finger and middle finger, your hand resembling a bird claw. You swirled the pen across your notebook writing letters that then became words then into poems. You always loved to write poems around this time, the world is so everchanging it inspired you. Steve and Bruce passed you chatting idly, you could smell their hot teas with much added sugar. It was a nice lull no evil villain trying to wipeout mankind as you know it.
Just as you had that thought loud voices boomed down the hallway echoing through the avengers tower like thunder, oh how the irony. You glanced up as you saw the two alien brothers walk into the room both grinning like they knew the secret to everything. You couldn't help how the corners of your mouth turned up their happiness was infectious not to mention your empathic abilities didn’t help you avoid the joy. Loki met eyes with you, you quickly looked back down scribbling nonsense. You heard his footsteps come closer, you tried to seem like you couldn't hear them or maybe too busy to be bothered by the god of mischief.
"How is your morning?" Loki asked his words sounded stressed almost rehearsed.
"Okay" You told him trying to think of a word that sounded like feather.
"Mine has been pretty good I tried something you Midgardians call a bloody mary" Loki humored setting his hand on the back of your chair leaning in to see what you were working on.
"Careful talking to me someone might think we are friends" You joked letting the sass be prominent in your tone.
"They might accuse us of being lovers if they were the least bit observant" Loki said you finally looked at him only to roll your eyes.
"I can't stand you" You told him giving up on your poem taking a long sip from your coffee.
"I really like this poem" Loki told you picking up your notebook before you could swipe it. Your cheeks flushed you haven't let anyone read your poetry since high school, he started to flip through different ones then flipped back to a previous page.
"This one is my favorite" He quickly tapped the page showing it to you as you sipped on your coffee.
"Oh that was me trying to make a sequel book to a poetry book I wrote about three years ago, it was called 'high tide' this one was supposed to be 'low tide' I know it's very cheesy and lacks originality" You laughed setting your cup down crossing your legs.
"That depends on why you picked the titles besides the fact you reference the sea in the poem" He said laying the book down closing it shut.
"Well high tide the sand is sort of covered for the most part the water is more sandy hard to see into a bit mysterious if you will, where low tide you can see all the shells and the jellyfish on the sand, very transparent. But I can't find inspiration like I used to. The world just kind of sucks" You blew a raspberry standing up and scooting the chair in ready to head back to your small room.
"Do you have the 'high tide' with you?" Loki asked stepping closer to you.
"Yeah it's on my laptop" You told him. "Then show me" he replied. You gathered your things bringing it down the hall a few curious eyes watched you, you didn't really mind, you already knew how they felt. Once you feel so much you become desensitized to other’s feelings. A very dangerous line you walk.
You opened the door to your room letting Loki inside, you all may have had sex more times than you care to admit but he's never once seen your room, this was your space. The walls were white with a couple of paintings taped around; the bed was always made with a quilt you had bought at a festival woven with different materials you had at least 7 pillows on your bed to match. In the far corner laid a pile of books almost to the ceiling, pens and pencils shoved in every nook and cranny. You went to your dresser grabbing your laptop off the top of it then hopping on your bed booting it up.
"You can come and sit" You told Loki who awkwardly stood in the doorframe. You realized he too had come to think about how he has never been in your space before you didn’t feel like diving to deep into it so you went back to what you were doing.
You found the old file as he shut the door coming to sit beside you. You handed him the laptop with your words then fell on your back looking up at the ceiling fan that was always on. You closed your eyes, you could feel your baby hairs blowing from the fan tickling your skin the sun from the window was warm on your left arm. You could defiantly take a lengthy nap.
You laid there for at least fifteen minutes just breathing in and out. Loki’s presence always seemed to help calm you down.
"You surprise me, I didn't know you were so talented" Loki commented closing your laptop.
"Um.. Thanks" You were used to being snarky with him, this new thing was not something you enjoyed.
"Are you growing soft on me… God?" You teased keeping your eyes closed. But him and you both knew the answer considering you are an empath. You quickly used your gift to subside his embarrassment and ego. He laid beside you in silence just enjoying each other's company.

Perfect (Dr. Strange Imagine)
Summary:
“I know you're twisted, but baby, I'm twisted too”
based off this song X
Rated: PG-13
tags; sad, cheating, multiverse
The moon lit up the room through your sheer curtain falling into the darkness your back turned to the side of Stephen's bed, the promise ring on your finger felt like it was burning your skin. You knew knowing the time would just make it worse, you didn't know why you bothered staying in here it's almost like getting your heart broken was your kink. If only you could get off on heartbreak. You can't remember when Stephen stopped sleeping next to you, sharing a bed seemed like a dream like it never happened all of the bad memories were steadily erasing the rest.
You've tried running through every scenario tried to fix everything that could be mended, maybe it was because you were so busy at work? You had already cut back on your hours even though it made you happy to work overtime to make your own living and not rely solely on his income. So during the extra hours you had in the morning you started to prepare breakfast for you both but he would rush out the door claiming he didn't have much time taking one bite of french toast kissing your forehead after a few mornings it was just a kiss and no small bites of your very large breakfast then eventually no kiss just out the door with a rushed goodbye falling from his lips.
Then you noticed you were gaining weight around your hips and arms perhaps from all the breakfast you were left to eat alone so you started hitting the gym. After lots of sweat and tears you toned up. Still nothing.
The first night things finally clicked in your small brain was when he came home unusually late especially since he had a real early start to his day. His eyes a little wild an extra pep in his step you smiled seeing this side of him was refreshing you pulled him into bed and he happily fell on top of you kissing you feverishly but when his tongue entered your mouth you tasted it. You tasted the wine, the very white wine. The kind of wine Stephen hated to indulge in.  The kind you used to always keep around until you moved in with him and went to red because who wanted to drink wine alone? You started to notice when you would throw his clothes into the washing machine you would smell jasmine lingering on the fabric. A smell you knew all too well considering it was your best friend's favorite scent in high school. Every sleepover her room was drenched in the scent that is why you never wore it, you couldn't stand the smell anymore. You tried curving your back deeper, falling to your knees faster worshiping the man you were losing with no avail. You wanted to know what she did that you couldn't you were scared to know at first but now you were begging for the answers. What about her was so special, what was better than you?
As you thought this the light from your window that spilled into the room turned purple; a bright violet shade. You jumped from the bed legs wobbling you looked at the bright light outside of the window walking quickly to it, you gasped at the sight in front of you. The sky was a violent purple lightening weaving through the clouds like veins, people cried out on the busy New York streets even though it was like 4am. There was no thunder oddly enough you never heard this storm coming just then the door banged open you jumped and turned around to reveal your lover he was panting eyes half crazy.
"Stephen what is hap- what did you do?" You asked watching his face grow pale, just then a bright circle appeared in the room as another Stephen appeared a few years younger alongside him a chubby man and a young woman.
"The fabric of this reality is falling fast" The other Stephen stated. "I didn't know it would be this bad" Your Stephen cried out.
"What did you do?" The chubby man asked your Stephen. "I couldn't live without her, I refused to-" "So bringing her from another universe was your solution? Was destroying the fabric of this reality worth it?" New Stephen asked your Stephen. "What the fuck is going on?" You demanded they all ignored you, just then a woman with blonde hair rushed in the door.
"Stephen, I need to go back home" She cried clinging to his arms. Then it hit you as her jasmine perfume tainted the room, this was her. "It's too late for that" The young woman who appeared in the room from the portal thing told her rushing to stand beside you to look out the window. "At least we're together in our last moments" Stephen wrapped her in his arms, like he had completely forgotten your existence. This was to much the screams flooding the streets, the man you loved clinging to a woman you've never met the room started to spin then your vision faded to black. ______________ You opened as your eyes were greeted to a bright room with exposed brick, books were scattered everywhere. The leather of the couch you laid on squeaked as you sat up your head pounding like you had rocks in your head weighing it down, you heard footsteps approaching you from behind you turned to see Stephen… but not your Stephen.
"Are you alright?" He asked standing a few feet away look apprehensive.
"Hell no" You snapped at him then glancing around at the unfamiliar "Where the hell am I?" You demanded. "Somewhere safe I promise" He took a few steps forward resting his hand on your shoulder, his touch felt electric. You relaxed under his hand. You had no idea what the hell was happening but at least you had a familiar face even if it wasn't the real Stephen.

Off The Chain (Thor Imagine)
Summary:
“Running, I didn't see it coming. Blinded, it's so stunning I don't wanna let you go”
based off of this song X
Rated: pg-13
tags: fluff, lighthearted
The lace of the sleeves of your dress sleeves tickles the inside of your arm where the fabric seemed together, the smell of hairspray and honeysuckle lingered in the air as the summer breeze pulled in from the open windows leaving a warm moisture feeling to the air. Your brides maids fussed around mirrors wrapping their hair around warm curling irons applying concealer to hide the dark circles under their eyes from being up since around four a.m. smiles plastered to their faces as the sang along to Beyonce through the small bluetooth speaker. You glanced at yourself in the mirror you sat in front of you dress cut deep along your chest leaving your shoulders exposed you watched them fall and rise with each breath. Today was the day you married your best friend, you were going to be his until the last breath fell from your lips and he was going to be yours until your heart stopped beating. You couldn't help the smile that crept to your face feeling giddy like a school girl sitting here dressed as a princess you just wanted to be in your prince charming's arms. Those big strong arms wrapped around your body while he kissed away every thought that entered your brain.
You remembered the night you both met so vividly like a movie that played behind your eyes. It was a warm summer night three years ago you just ended your late shift at a mediocre steak restaurant that you served at. Dirty dollar bills pressed into your back pocket were itching to be spent on the bar down the street on a nice cranberry vodka. Your aching feet carried you across the sidewalk the night life buzzing on a Saturday night, you loved living downtown. Was your small apartment double the price to be in the heart of downtown? Yes. Did you mind the extra cost? No.
You finally made it into the bar as music hummed through the speaker people mumbled to each other a group people surrounded the pool table being loud waging bets. You walked straight up to the bar greeting the familiar bartender asking for your drink he smiled and informed you a few cocktails were ahead of you, you smiled politely and let him know there is no rush as you sat on one of the velvet wrapped stools. A seat was taken beside you, a very tall slender man with glasses to thin for his face and an outdated fedora perched on his head hiding most of his bald head.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing here alone?" The words came out of his mouth and you wish they hadn’t.
"Uh..." You chuckled nervously "I'm actually waiting for my uh boyfriend" You lied quickly cracking your knuckles nervously. You were talented at a lot of things sadly lying was not one. You hoped he was too drunk to notice.
"Well it's quite dangerous for a lady such as yourself to sit alone, I'll hang around until he shows up" He replied just as quick. Your stomach twisted in knots as you looked for the bartender as he was on the other side of the bar with multiple cups in front of him as he poured numerous liquors into them.
"I've seen you here before always alone I've always kept an eye on you from a distance, you are lucky there is nice guys like me around here because if the wrong guy were to see you here alone…" He trailed off his sentence almost like it was a threat.
"Honey there you are!" A booming voice echoed behind you making you jump a hand landed on your shoulder and the guy's eyes widened the size of planets. You glanced up and a tall gym rat type dude stood beside you with a warm smile that didn't reach his eyes as he glared at the fedora man.
"I believe you're in my seat" he told the guy, the guy opened his mouth and closed it a few times then ran off with his tail between his legs the sight made you snicker as you realized the stranger behind you must have overheard the conversation.
"Thanks but I could've ran him off" You told the man behind you he laughed; his laugh was so loud it echoed around you. He walked around and sat on the stool that fedora guy was on. He had his blonde hair tied into a bun a simple black t-shirt clung to his fit arms, you face turned red as you quickly glanced away at something unimportant across the room not wanting to be drooling all over this stranger.
"Yeah you were doing a great job" he said sassily, you whipped your head around fixing to snap at him when you recognized his face, I mean how could you not? How many times had you seen in plastered on the news.
"You're Thor" You choked out in surprise.
"You have my name but I have yet to learn yours" He smiled at you his teeth white.
You stuttered out your name in shock the bartender made his way over with your drink and a polite smile for your wait.
"Make that two of those good sir" Thor told him "And put hers on my tab"
You were quickly brought back to reality as you maid of honor squalled, you jerked around to see she had burned herself with the curling iron.
_____________________
The evening passed in a blur, you tried to remember the vows you both exchanged but your brain kept coming up empty as Thor spun you around the dance floor his arms circled around you holding your tired feet up. The room was decorated in sparkling lights that resembled the night sky; white ribbon draped around the pillars. The live band was playing a gentle rendition of Frank Sinatra, you felt like you were in a dream.
"Today has been an epic one" You grinned at him looking into his eyes, he smiled eyes crinkling.
"You think this is epic? Wait until we land in bora bora babe" He wiggled his eyebrows making you laugh and fall onto his chest warmth spreading through your body.
"I plan to hold you to that god of thunder" You told him, you wondered if you were going to be able to stop smiling because your jaw was starting to become sore.
