see the thing about obey me that resonates with so many people is not good writing, good storyline, or even good characters... its love

obey me provides a universe -small enough to fit in your pocket- where everyone loves you. it doesnt matter who you are of what youve done, they will love you no matter what. and with all the different characters, there are so many different ways you can be loved that apply to everyone - mammon is head over heels no matter what, asmo affirms your self worth, levi will never leave you... so on. people who have been emotionally neglected or abused flock to obey me because it provides a space where you dont need to be scared, paranoid that everyone secretly hates you. everyone loves you here
