In this photo, the bird’s wing acts as a diffraction grating—a surface structure with a repeating pattern of ridges or slits. The structure causes the incoming light rays to spread out, bend and split into spectral colors, producing this shimmering rainbow effect. By Victor Tyakht
so. I just finished an awful college semester that took a major toll on my health. The problems that started last summer are still an issue, and between them, my anxiety, and my GPA, I got overwhelmed and withdrew from fandom. This fucked up a bunch of holiday fic exchanges I was in, and I really regret that. Later today I'll be going through my messages, writing the fic I should have written for those exchanges, commenting on the fic I was gifted in those exchanges, and groveling to the yulegods. I really dropped the ball this time, and I'm sorry.
“Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.” Carrie Frances Fisher (October 21st, 1956 - ∞)
