merman! leon x gn! reader (but made with m! reader in mind) ˚୨୧⋆｡ (a/n) ; first writing on tumblr,, hhfhg i had an idea in mind and ig i wanted to write it sooo.. also sorry this is so short aa i wrote this in like 15 minutes word count ; 270 not proofread.. sorry.. you've had a rough week. whenever you came back home, you felt worn out and exhausted. you just needed a break. sitting at the edge of the pier, you stared into the sunset, feeling yourself finally be able to relax for the first time in what seemed ages. you had your thoughts to yourself, you felt comfortable, dangling your legs into the crisp waters. what more could you really ask for? your train of thought was interrupted by the feeling of.. something. you could've sworn something had touched your leg from underneath the water. instead of making a big deal about it, you simply wrote it off as just you making things up in your head. but you were wrong. very wrong. below the surface, leon had been sort of spying on you for a little. leon hasn't seen a human in god knows how long. leon was always fascinated with them, but he almost never saw them very often. he'd always wanted to know more about them. their anatomy, what they did, how they lived their lives, he wanted to know every last thing about them. leon was debating whether or not he should try introducing himself to you, because how would you react? leon figured that humans didn't really know that people like him really existed at all, (which, he wasn't totally wrong,) so he'd figured you'd be startled upon seeing him. so leon just stayed underneath the pier, just admiring you. admiring you for the time you'd stay, and honestly, leon kind of hoped that you wouldn't leave him.
