Hey everyone! @whumpetywhumpwhump here! As a medwhump fan, I noticed that we didn't appear to have a Medwhump May set up for this year, so I'm setting one up last minute!
I'm hoping to release prompts either tomorrow or Tuesday, just in time for the month to start, and an official list of rules with that as well.
Happy medwhumping!

Whumpee is dying, nothing can stop it anymore. Instead of a goodbye - when Whumpee closes their eyes for the last time, when they take their final breaths, when their hand in Caretaker's goes limp - Caretaker whispers "good night."

The 'golden hour' is a term used in medicine to describe the crucial 60 minutes in which an injured or sick person must receive treatment following the trauma/emergency.
Whumpee's clock is ticking.
Perhaps they're alone, and unable to call for help as their time, and thus chances at survival, slowly bleeds away with them.
Perhaps the medical help is taking longer to arrive than anticipated, and caretaker is knelt at their side, begging them just to hang on a while longer.
It doesn't matter. The clock is ticking, and whumpee is only getting worse.

Perhaps some slightly bittersweet whump thoughts?
Whumpee with repressed feelings for Caretaker is very sick, laying under a pile of blankets, a cold compress on their forehead
Caretaker is at their bedside, running their fingers through Whumpee's hair
Whumpee wakes up, they are barely coherent but they smile up at Caretaker
Their fever is still so high and they are still so delirious but they start confessing their feelings to Caretaker
Caretaker is understandably baffled and somewhat touched
Whumpee passes out again, startling Caretaker
They're fine, just exhausted from the illness
Caretaker just resumes comforting them
Naturally, Whumpee remembers nothing when they are fully recovered
Whumpee and Caretaker remain friends
Thoughts?
Enjoy! - 🌻
Ohhhhhh feverish whumpees accidentally revealing too much is a niche genre of whump that I just LOVE.
the way caretaker's heart skips a beat when whumpee confesses, especially if they reciprocate the feelings. is whumpee telling the truth or is this the fever talking? do they really mean any of it or are they just babbling?

Also hi again I figured I should be splitting these into 2 different asks but do you have ideas on a situation where whumpee is whumped for a reason?
Like, not just randomly or for fun like sadistic whumpers, but them being whumped actually has a meaning? Preferably one where the act of being whumped is like a sacrifice that saves others from torture, one that can start from the age of 5 (yes I know my oc is kinda really traumatised) and not an open thing where everyone would know about it and try to save whumpee (so no 'I'll offer myself to be whumped so that whumper won't whump anyone else)
Whumpee has been whumped from the age of 5, always returning home to a house where whumper (bonus points for parental whumper) would await their return from school to start beating them up, but they have always endured this whump for the sake of (reasons I am totally not going to steal from what you listed), until when whumpee is already all grown-up, and finally the threat has been neutralised, so whumpee is free from all the torture at whumper's hands (that no one knew about because they had to suffer completely in silence).
Caretaker's and team's heart just breaks at seeing all of the torture whumpee had to endure from young, and plan all sorts of fun activities to help whumpee forget about it all
Bonus points if whumpee is slightly scared because of something that reminds them of whumper (e.g amusement park waterslides reminds them of drowning at whumper's hands) but they keep quiet and try their best not to break down because they don't want to worry the team or cause the team to feel bad that they triggered their trauma idk I'm just yapping here lol sorry that you had to read all this
hm, the only thing I could really think of is a situation similar to ellie from tlou (if you're not familiar, in it, the character of ellie is the secret to the cure of an apocalyptic outbreak) where whumpee's blood is precious for some reason or another- so precious that whumper wants to take it as much as they can to sell/use.
when whumpee is young, they don't understand what's going on- they hit and kick and fight until whumper beats them into submission and takes what they want by force
but the older that whumpee gets, the more they begin to see themselves as simply a tool, and the more they accept the beatings.

Hi again I think I might become your regular soon lol
Anyway new whump prompt: Recovering whumpee (in a situation where it's not really appropriate for caretaker to take care of whumpee or 'supposedly' nothing else is wrong with whumpee) is dreaming of a nice day out with caretaker and team, and all is well until...they wake up.
From this it's either they desperately try to go back to sleep to that dream again or they just sit up and cry silently because they think that they'll never deserve such a time with caretaker and team in real life
Bonus points if caretaker finds them after this and comforts them.
Bonus bonus points if caretaker uses this opportunity as a fun therapist session (idk I have no idea what a therapist session is supposed to be like) and helps whumpee lets loose and forget about their trauma
ohh traumatised whumpees not believing themselves worthy of the life they so desperately want 💔💔

Give me more shaking whumpees.
Give me whumpees who are shivering so much from their high fever that they can't even hold a bottle of water up to their lips, leaving caretaker to hold it for them like they're bottle feeding a baby animal.
Give me whumpees who've lost so much blood that they're pale and trembling violently, their skin cool to the touch. Their body is desperately trying to keep them warm, but with each new shudder they're just bleeding more and more.
Give me whumpees in shock- whumpees who find out something so emotionally distressing that they can do nothing but shake, eyes fixed on a single point, jolting away from any touch.
Give me more shaking whumpees.

There’s something about a whumpee just sitting down. Not fainting, necessarily. Maybe they’re just about to faint, and they quietly just kneel on the ground at a time and place that doesn’t make sense. They don’t even have the capacity or willingness to articulate why they need to abruptly stop and sit. Maybe they’re catatonic while the others look at them.
Maybe a caretaker can see the dull, vacant look in their eyes and immediately senses that something is seriously wrong. Maybe the fainting comes just a few moments later.

I just had a whump scenario pop in my head.
A Whumpee so badly impaired by a high burning temperature that drinking water from a cup is too hard for them. They can’t sit up, they can’t move, it hurts too much. Caretaker is at a loss of what to do. They were sweating too much from the fever. They needed some hydration somehow. And they had no straws on hand.
As they take a damp washcloth and brush whumpee’s sweaty forehead, it hits them. There’s water on this towel. They get a new fresh washcloth and dampen it with fresh cold water from a water bottle and place it to whumpee’s lips. Whumpee is confused and dazed, to which caretaker says
“Try to bite the towel and drink the water from it.”
Whumpee opens their mouth and bites down, and starts suckling the cold wet towel. They almost looked like a baby animal suckling milk from their mother or from a bottle. Caretaker was relieved that whumpee was finally hydrating properly in a way that they could with what little strength they had.
