I like the idea of sequal au thing where Bill has been trapped in a mortal body for his crimes and has to prove he's a good person to change back. Then he'd go to the Pines for help and they'd be extremely reluctant at first, but then Mabel sees him struggling and suffering and convinces the others to let him stay. Bill struggles to be a normal person let alone a good one, but the family warms his cold, dead heart or some shit like that. And he can connect with all of them. Mabel likes things weird, Dipper is a nerd, Stan likes deals and money, and Ford likes Bill.

Eventually, Bill would become part of the family and have no need for immortality or his powers. Also, maybe Ford and Bill get back together and it's adorable.
