There’s a big birthday celebration going on in Chippewa Falls as the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company turns 150 years old. The oldest standing business in Chippewa Falls (and possibly in the Chippewa Valley) was purchased by the Miller Brewing Company back in 1988 when David W. Carlson filed this report.
We talked to Bill & Jake Leinenkugel about the deal and possible changes to the production and product. The merger turned out to be a huge success as Leinenkugel’s is now distributed nationwide and the historic brewery is still running strong.
