I love your blog, will you be posting anymore posts? You don't post as often as you used to now.

Thanks. I will make more of an effort to post more, or atleast make more posts in my spare time and queue them. I've been pretty busy lately, I took a course to gain some "in house" qualifications and as a result my shifts in the nursing home I work in went up and now with the COVID-19 pandemic we've had staff calling in sick. I know it's best to be safe than sorry but I already knew way before who was going to come down with a new cough or something, so currently we're 7 staff down, and having to use agency workers, who are last minute and work other places. It's not safe that way or safe being under staffed. Sorry for the rant haha.

I'll queue a few posts and stop bitching 😂😉

Stay safe people. Stay at home as much as you can!! The sooner we all work together to prevent the spread of this virus, the closer we'll be to normality. Wash your hands!!

Awh. This is sweet, yeah we are good. Staying as safe as can be, my work means I HAVE to leave my home (Health Care worker) but it's directly to and from work, essential shopping and/or medication runs. I walk to and from work so i count that as my excersize "allowance" I don't want to risk making who lives in my household sick or the residents I care for either, or anyone else for that matter. Stay safe too Anon 😗

Do you think Tessa and Scott will skate with each other again or this it? It's over.

I think they will, as a one off routine, like potentionally their participation in the world's number was going to be. I don't think they'll go back to competition, that ship has sailed. As for shows, I don't think so. They've both made it clear that while they did enjoy show skating between competitions it was the competition that they liked more, which I can understand.

Also they both seem intent on following their individual goals and lives now. MBA and starting her own business, for Tessa. Which personally I'm interested in what that's going to be. For Scott he is getting his coaching certification, which is also great. I'm interested in which capacity and level that will be at. Obviously he could coach all the levels, once he's certified. The fact that he's always spoken about helping the next generation and younger children, also being with Paul Macintosh makes me think he's going to be with more junior teams. Which is great as then he can work on and help with their fundamentals, skating skills, edges, dance (close) holds (please).

Tessa and Scott are skating at worlds and yet it might be cancelled due to coronavirus 😣

I saw. Also if worlds gets cancelled theres nothing stopping Tessa, Scott, J.Butt, KO, Chiddy, Meagan and Eric of still doing their routine but just releasing a video of them doing it, having said that as much of a hassle as it'd be, to cancel, reschedule and/or refund, I think it's for the best. As a preventative measure, if nothing else.

I'm not all about the panic and hysteria over it, personally, but I do recognise it poses a great risk the the most vulnerable in our societies across the world. Most of the deaths in my country have been elderly people, or low immune (I read one was receiving chemotherapy) These are already a high risk group of people to viruses ie chicken pox, influenza, HIV, SARS ect. All of which already have vaccinations (if people have them) and known long term effects, how it's going to affect someone in the short-term and how to treat it. I read this coronavirus had an outbreak in late 2019 and has already caused 4000+ deaths, around 4% of the people who've been diagnosed with COVOID-19. Which taken in to consideration the time scale in unprecedented in modern times, we're talking only a few months, infact it's still being written about in weeks. Not 100s of years or decades, or expected outbreaks (common) Flu, Chicken Pox. Of course people could, and do, die from flu, hiv and other viruses, and it's complications anyway but I think if anyone can do anything to help prevent it spreading, especially as there's no known vaccination for it. As there are to help prevent contracting it or to help combat the symptoms and complications that go with such viruses. It's valid and most sensible to cancel mass gatherings, and any unecassary travel both domestically and internationally.

If they are to still go ahead I'd hope just compete to an empty arena, with just family, volunteers, as many skaters do that or to a very low attended competitions if they are to go ahead. As worlds isn't a local even it's an international one where it could be bought in from other countries or taken out to other countries. They have to try and contain it as best they can.

Also at the end of a day it's just a skating competition. Coronavirus, while for most people is being said to be like a mild flu, it's also best to try and prevent it from spreading anymore than it already has, and inevitably will do, just in general.
