Title: Blood

Fic Summary: Amidst a complex world of quirks, heroes, and villains, society can at least take solace in the knowledge that ghouls are a simple, albeit nightmarish, matter. Even though they look and sound like human beings, ghouls are creatures that are only capable of digesting human flesh. Thus, all ghouls are automatically considered villains. This changes some things. But not all.
Chapter Summary: Aizawa can’t - won’t - stop making bad decisions.
Notes: Remember me saying that these will vary wildly in length? This one is just an introspective ficlet I wrote in one sitting. Don’t worry about getting your Aizawa fix though! He will appear in at least three other one-shots, excluding the fic itself. This chapter was written for @villainmonth prompt #4, Blood, and takes place three years prior to the start of the series. Fic Summary: Amidst a complex world of quirks, heroes, and villains, society can at least take solace in the knowledge that ghouls are a simple, albeit nightmarish, matter. Even though they look and sound like human beings, ghouls are creatures that are only capable of digesting human flesh. Thus, all ghouls are automatically considered villains. This changes some things. But not all.
Chapter Summary: In which Shimura Tenko ceases to exist and Shigaraki Tomura is introduced to the world of villainy - and the world of ghouls.
Notes: For several of my @villainmonth prompts, I decided to write a series of prequel one-shots for a Tokyo Ghoul fusion au @ohmytheon and I are going to be doing. These will vary vastly in length and somewhat in timeline, although all take place pre-canon/prior to the entrance exam arc. This particular chapter is for prompt #1 - Monster. Summary:
Over and over he replays the memories that resurfaced during his fight with Re-Destro. He doesn’t understand why they won’t just go back to the dark recesses of his mind where they came from. He doesn’t need them anymore. They served their purpose.
At first, they felt like a blessing. A sign he’s on the right track, doing what he was always meant to do. He is destruction incarnate, and he will bring the heroes to their knees.
But there is something about one memory that doesn’t fit with the rest. It’s like a splinter sticking out of a wooden table and his mind keeps getting caught on it. The more he tries to tug it out, the deeper it burrows, until it spreads like an infection that can’t be cut out, rotting him from the inside.
His grandmother was a hero.

“Are you still glaring at that picture?”
Shigaraki gripped the picture of the green haired boy from the USJ tighter, causing it to crease slightly. He turned his glare to his daemon. She was unaffected, of course.
“I hate him,” he said. “I want him gone.”
“You’ve said that before. Many times.” She plucked the photograph out of his hand with her tiny paws and threw it onto the ground behind Kurogiri’s bar. “I don’t like him or his daemon either, but you have more important things to worry about than some baby hero who might not even make the cut. Giran is supposed to introduce us to some potential recruits. Focus on that instead.”
“I am focused.”
“No, you’re not.” She pounced on his hand as he began to raise it. “And stop scratching your neck!”

Villain Month: Day 20 - Child
I have to thank my sister for helping me come up this this idea. I knew I wanted to do something creepy involving Overhaul and Eri, and at first I was gunna just do my own version of the panel from the manga of Overhaul menacing enveloping Eri but it felt uncreative. Then I started thinking about how on the wiki he’s listed as her “foster father” and talking to my sister about it. As horrible as Overhaul is I can’t help but feel that in his own very twisted way he did care for Eri. As I talked with my sister about this she helped me come up with this idea of corrupting the concert of “a doting father checking up on his sleeping child.” And this is what came about it!

Dabi turned to the de-facto leader of their little villain group. “Sure. What’s up?”
Izuku waited until the others had all gone upstairs before continuing. “I’ve been contacted by a potential new recruit. Because of who he is, I figured it would be best to talk to you before inviting him to move in.
A new recruit? Already? Still, Dabi wasn’t sure why Izuku wanted to talk to him about this. “What’s his name?”
“Shoto Todoroki.”

Playing Games with a New Brother
Another addition to Villain Month and my Villain!Izuku AU. We’re back to Shigaraki & Izuku fluff. Despite the fact that my outline says they usually hate each other. Oh well, I plan on doing a massive edit/rewrite anyway.

Izuku cried himself to sleep the night his father died. Kurogiri – the villain with a warping quirk – took him to another location and guided him to a nondescript room with a bed. Izuku probably should have tried to get out, but after the day he’d had, he just wanted to curl up and cry.
He woke up the next morning to the sound of a fantasy action game’s theme song.
Where’s that coming from? Izuku wondered.

A Weapon for the Quirkless
For day 20 of Villain month, and a part of my Villain!Izuku AU. The prompt is child, but like usual I used it as more as guidelines than an actual rules. Content warning for Guns (will be tagged, but just in case…)

On the day of Izuku’s 10th birthday, Kurogiri took him aside and said the master was giving him a gift, but he’d meet them in another location.
That was strange. Kurogiri, All For One, and Tomura had taken him out when their business affected him, but Izuku hadn’t left the house for his own reasons since he’d started living there. Whatever Sensei was giving him would definitely be unusual.
