not to be That Person but when people are like “why isn’t there a big fandom culture anymore?” umm…

maybe this is why???? That an author can spend hours (if not days or weeks or months) on something, have 1,800 people read it, and only have THREE people willing to take a few extra seconds out of their day to comment. Not even something as simple as “thanks for sharing” or “second kudos” or “❤️”

I’m not the internet police. You decide what you do with your time. Just don’t be surprised if the result is that creators leave your fandoms. I’m not writing to scream into the void. If that’s what I wanted, I wouldn’t bother posting. Fandom is a community. It’s an exchange of enthusiasm over this thing we all love. And who’s gonna keep showing up at your house with a goodie basket if all you do is take the basket, slam the door, and leave them outside to watch through the window while you eat?

I am currently in the process of writing my master's thesis. My research is about age & Star Wars characters. The research is trying to investigate whether there is a difference in fans of different ages liking or disliking certain characters that appear throughout Episodes 1-9. The survey takes about 5-10 minutes to complete, is completely anonymous, and you must be 18+ to participate.

I saw a comment by someone on reddit who said they no longer comment on any fanfiction because of the risk of it being AI and ... that just seems like such a cop out to me, not to mention incredibly cruel to authors.

Please please please do not stop commenting on all fics or interacting with authors because you are worried about things being AI. The risk is slim, and the damage you do to authors by doing this is awful.

Writers put so much effort into their fics. For people to openly admit they still read and consume these fics, but choose not to comment on anything because of the possibility of someone using AI for their writing is incredibly selfish. You're punishing authors by doing this. You're not being moral or helpful or crusading for any useful cause - you're just hurting authors.

Ironically, by doing this, you're actually more likely to cause authors to stop writing (silence does this), and people who can't write will fill the gaps left by creating AI writing - so you're making the problem worse, not helping anyone.

If you want to support authors and writers, then SUPPORT them! Reblog work and send authors asks, leave comments and kudos, and above all don't punish people with silence.

Speaking of yandere Thrawn breeding kink.

How would he be as a father?would he be as obsessed and manipulative to both reader and child?

Obsessed? Definitively!

Manipulative?

He would play the good dad who's in love with mommy (and he is, truthfully, to an obsessive fashion) and portray a happy family for his children. No problem here, absolutely nothing suspicious ch'eo ch'acah! 

To be honest he would be really gaslighting to his children to make them think what he has with you is absolutely normal and healthy. He hides the chains and the collar away eyes their eyes, and teaches them that as long as you don't obsess over someone like he does with you, this is not truly love and there is no need to lose time over it. 

He educates them to be Yanderes like him, even if it is not in their personality. At least he is arming them for the world and teaching them to never become anybody's victim, because he teaches them to be the tormentor. It is very strange to hear him tell his kids that they must adore their partners but not hesitate to tie them down if they do something they judge as dangerous or unreasonable (trying to escape them). 

And they listen! Why wouldn't they? Thrawn always was a good father to them in retrospect, educating them and taking time off his busy schedule to be as present as possible for them. He adores his children and they adore him in return. So he has a lot of influence over them, and no matter how hard you try to make them unlearn these unhealthy habits when his back his turned, you can only watch horrified how he trains new little him to unleash upon the galaxy. 

As they grow into teenagers and adulthood, some will cement themself as perfect little terrors like their father and pursue the cycle of abuse, but some will meet someone, a teacher, lover, or a friend that will make them realize that these are batshit behaviors, that they need to unlearn any social skills bestowed by Thrawn and admit the abuse you suffered through... 

Only it will be already too late for you.
