I just had my junior prom.

I hurt my feet on thursday by accidentally taking a 4+ mile walk (it was supposed to be a half a mile) so that was interesting immediately with blisters on my ankles

my dress was too long and they announced the date of prom TWO WEEKS AGO so i didn’t have time to get it hemmed so i HAD to wear super tall heels

my feet felt good for much longer than i expected

my whole group ended up needing ibuprofen eventually but i always have done so i’m epic and it honestly felt like i was dealing drugs which i kinda was but they were legal and NEEDED

I now have a big blister on the bottom of my foot so yay but it was 200% worth it

i even got to drive my friends there and home

Ok so i havent been able to be on tumblr much for this past week

(Sunday writing starts where it started being bolded)

I joined a production of Matilda as one of 2 stage crew members and its been SO FUN

Today is a double show day but thats not the story of this post (Sunday edit: I started writing this saturday but got busy)

a bunch of cast members were doing interviews and our director did one on a local radio show and it aired in the morning, just at the time i typically wake up. So I wake up o hear (basically my boss's) voice in my room. Im like whaaaaat the fuuuuuuuu??????????? and it took me a solid 30 seconds to realize he was doing an interview for the show on the radio.

I ended up telling him about that and he found it hilarious (it might have been the fact that we were all having post opening night highs at 1 am at the hotel aka the only restaurant here open past midnight)

so anyways, now that weve finished our first week of shows i have a few more stories

that same guy has almost run into me twice since in the same spot, at the same time, two shows in a row (Im always looking for corners to hide in when Im not busy for 30 secs and i found that spot 2 shows ago). Ive decided to stand there every show at that time to see how long it takes him to realize I'll be there every show, its been hilarious so far.

I would post some videos and pics and stuff but I wont for privacy reasons.

I may or may not be watching the '96 Matilda movie for the first time while writing this 👀

Ok I don’t have any of Mousey rn but here’s nibs who’s a wild bunny who’s been hanging in our yard with his mate Bunbun.

We’re expecting to see babies around soon

bunbun was a baby we found a few years in our yard who has since grown I to a beautiful golden bunny.

Mousey update

she was getting better but then after a few weeks we found her hiding in the coop. Turns out she hadn’t left in a few days and was back to where she started. She had gotten bullied again so now she’s been in solitary confinement for about 4 days. She didn’t eat for the first few but then I noticed her water had gone down and there was less food in her bowl. I gave her some grass and dandelions and she ate those. She’s doin a lil better but I’m 90% sure that she’s almost entirely blind. Her eye is now completely swollen shut but she’s got a lil gap on the other. Despite all that she’s doin almost good.

any info on having a blind chicken/pet would help!

Story time (this might become a series)

Long post alert! Sorry!

I have this little chicken named Mousey. She is mostly blind (yes she's names after the 3 blind mice) due to an attack a few months ago from our turkey (he's a dumb dick).

She decided today she wanted to go for a walk when we let all of our birds out of their pen for some roam time. She and her lack of eyesight and her sweet dumb little brain wandered straight for the road, stopping only to explore the garden for a second.

Every time I turned her around she just went right back for the road, I babysat her for an hour, carrying her to the back of my 1 acre property and following her to the front and doing that a few times.

She also kept running into things and then just pecking them so i learned that if i tapped stuff she was walking towards she would hear the sound and stop. Shout out to my physics teacher/class for voting that we should learn about sound these past few weeks instead of other stuff.

She then proceeded to wander into the woods between our house and our neighbor and scratch around in some leaves. Keep in mind she can only eat from the grain bin because she pecks about 1-2 inches off the ground. She still pecks though, she just doesn't get anything and looks confused afterwards.

She then got stuck in a pile of branches. She got herself out and then wandered towards the very back of our property. She walks fast and was very determined. Its now been 40 minutes and my parents are out there with me watching this little hen march around the driveway.

She wanders around the lawn mower and crawls her way over it and sets off for behind our shop. She's not allowed there so i have to chase her down this narrow gap between a trailer and a fence. Its an empty flatbed though so idk why I didn't just walk on it. anyway i get her headed back and she decides she wants to jump up on the trailer. She can't jump. She crouches down and I'm just standing there, rooting for her. She sticks one foot out as far as she can and....

She falls down a little rut under the trailer. I catch her and I'm like "ok that's enough for today" so my mom gets her and puts her over by her feed box and she just munches away.

She later decided that she wanted to venture under our shed so that was another "nope your getting put back home" and now she's chillin.

My teacher just showed us a video about the pre FDA us meat factories which was really disturbing and then went “on a happier note let’s see how hotdogs are made!” He clicked on the video AND ITS BANNED HERE. IT SAID “this video is banned in your country” ALSJEJFJRBFJE this is wild to me but maybe that’s just with the context of the day.
