Anti Polin
Would anyone be so gracious and inform me if I'm tagging correctly? For example, by tagging "anti polin", I am implying that said post is, like the name would suggest, anti polin. How this is apparently getting in the regular "polin" tag, I have no idea. I'm genuinely not trying to be confrontational.

Am I the only one who thinks Polin was rushed? Regardless of whether you ship it or not, I feel like it lowkey came out of nowhere. One of the few appeals of polin is the fact that it's a slow burn. They go from barley interacting to having a whole season dedicated to them. For me, they're still very much in the awkward phase, and I can't see that being fledged out in only one season. Even when Penelope is supposed to be swooning over Colin, it feels fake. I feel like the actors have better chemistry off set than they do on, which is a scandal within itself. But who knows, maybe I'll surprisingly like this season and come back to change my mind.

Babe look in the tag it’s the top posts under new. How else do you think I saw it? Putting a space between the anti and polin is putting it in the tags. Like I’m not gonna argue with your opinions even tho i side eyed the hell out of it (they have a whole book of them getting together so it was always going to happen, the height thing is weird and sounds like you’re the one infantilizing a grown woman, the rest of it is weirdly petty and lacks thought to the point where I worry for your media literacy competency) but you’re entitled not to to like a ship. But you should keep it out of the tags.
That’s just basic fandom etiquette.
Ok, thanks for the input. I'll check the tags once again.

Great you don’t like them, good for you, but you tagged the post just right to come up in the polin tag itself so idk what you were trying to accomplish 🫤
I didn't tag the post to come up under the polin tab. I intentionally didn't do that in hopes of avoiding conflict. It's anti polin.

I just have to complain. Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton get on my last nerves and I'm tired of acting like they don't.
At this point, Penelope is the center stage of everything. Not just season 3 but the others as well. Not only is she (supposably) friends with Eloise, and she's Lady Whistledown but also a love interest. When does it end? Please don't say it's because they wanted to "flesh out her character" or make her "dimensional" because it wouldn't be an issue if she was in fact meant to be the main focal point. She's not, however, and despite what it sometimes appears, the show is "Bridgerton."
She reminds me of Ani from 13 reasons why. Mostly due to the fact that despite all these relevant main characters, all the time is being focused on her. Well, that and the victim card.
But even if I were to give her some grace, we're supposed to ignore the fact the "man of her dreams" nearly married her cousin?!?! That's bizarre to me. Throughout this whole time, Colin has never shown any interest in her besides platonic dancing. He rarely interacts with her and, in fact, is known to travel all the time. Sure, he writes her letters, but that's all they are, simple letters. Ones of which she later acts like she doesn't even appreciate.
(Also, that clip of season 3 of Colin telling her he missed her... ok, and? How do we go from "and the object of all my desires" to this? Ugh, then Penelope saying his eyes are a remarkable shade of blue but shine even brighter when he's kind. Girl! Clearly, he isn't kind enough because all she ever does is complain about the fact that he doesn't like her! Besides, what sort of a line is that. She's an author. An AUTHOR, and she's going to show it by saying a basic line.)
When exactly are these feelings manifesting? Yet again, I'd like to reiterate that this isn't necessarily a problem because people can just meet and quickly fall in love. My problem with Colin and Penelope lies in the fact that
A. Penelope likes Colin a little too much, more than he has ever reciprocated.
B. Colin seems like an opportunist. He doesn't particularly like her he just rather have her for himself, but the moment he finds someone else, he's off to the next. He bounces from seeing her as his sisters friend to love interest consistently.
C. Penelope is so quick to abandon anything that doesn't suit her narrative: Marina and Eloise. She can run a whole gossip column trash talking Colin and his family, but somehow, she expects to be miraculously forgiven and exempt from any backlash. The only reason she was ever able to get into such close proximity to Colin is because of Eloise, but she has no problem acting like Eloise is the one in the wrong.
D. Most importantly, there is nothing wrong with platonic relationships. The two of them still get on my nerves, but I can admit, it is much less so when they don't interact or talk about each other. They work better as distant friends. If anything, I think Penelope has a better chance with someone like Benedict.
E. Personal Ick (I realize this might be very irrational) I don't like major height difference relationships. It gives me bad vibe because I feel like one party in the relationship is always going to be somewhat infantilized.
It's one thing to say she has a physical attraction to him and another to say she has a full-out crush. Even if she does truly like him, does she "truly" like him? She's had this crush for so long that I don't think she likes the real Colin but the idealized version she's created.
Subtle Eloise Appreciation: And to top it off, why are people acting as though Eloise is the ONLY one looking for Lady Whistledown. Out of all the people, there is such a great likelihood that others are investigating as well. Even the queen wants to know who she is, but people fail to mention that!
On a side note, I'm over the narrative that I should feel sorry for Penelope because of her family's financial hardships. Is that unfortunate? Yes, most definitely, but what does that have to do with the way she treats people?
But, I suppose at the end of the day, it's not that deep. I just wanted to express myself with, hopefully, like-minded individuals. If you love Penelope and Colin, great. I, on the other hand, do not.

This whole situation with Amberlynn and her mom is getting on my last nerves. I don’t know anyone else in gorl world, so I thought I'd just take my opinions here.
Amber coming on video crying and telling her age-old sob story isn't going to convince anyone. If her mom truly didn't harm a service animal, then tell us some hard-core proof. Not all this pity party crying, that's irrelevant. Was she even in contact with her mom when this supposably happened? Why is she even trying to vouch for her? I'm so tired of her trying to paint her mom in this wonderful light one moment, and the next, she's trauma dumping about her horrible childhood. That's not to say that their relationship couldn't have improved, but typically, when you forgive someone, you move on from the past. Not for Amber, you never know who she likes and who she has a problem with.
Plus, Amber coming to the defense of her mom is hypocritical, seeing as she herself doesn't have a clean slate when it comes to animals. Especially back in the Destiny era or the situation with her leaving Twinkie to go to Chili's.
Also, if Amber was so bothered by these allegations, you'd think she wouldn't make a monetized video about it. She could have just made a post about it on her community tab since she thinks she's so good at writing. But of course not, she saw the opportunity for drama and clicks and couldn't pass it up.
She's putting all the blame on reaction channels as per usual. What do reaction channels have to do with this? If I get accused of something, my main goal would be to disprove it. Not go online and start playing the victim and shaming the people who accused me. It's deflecting, and it's clear as day.
I will give her mom a round of applause, however, for being 10 years sober. That's great, but that doesn't change the things she did in the past. Amber consistently acts like she doesn't know where this drama comes from, as if her "fan base" isn't built from drama. This was the whole reason she claimed she didn't want wifey on camera, so clearly, she understands to some extent.
Why is it a problem for anyone to talk about her mom's PUBLIC records when Amber has countless videos monetizing off of the lives of other people? AKA her filming while Beck was grieving their mom, Destiny in various states of undress, showing Krystal when she was clearly uncomfortable being on camera, showcasing a minor she "befriended", her continuing to say transphobic things to Casey after they broke up, having Beck drive when they weren't in the best mental or physical state. The list goes on. But of course, "how dare these people bring up anything about her mom." Get real.
Amber has been on YouTube for years now. No one forced her to make her content about drama and speculation, but she fed into that. She can't pick and choose what's appropriate and what's not. Amberlynn, if you're so sick with YouTube, get a job, get a degree, lose the weight and become a success story. Do something with yourself besides complaining to the people that give you views and a means to live.

When Bright Eyes Dim
All Coraline knew him as was the "Ghost Boy" but before that he was a boy with a life, a family, and a story. Now, it's finally time to let it be known.
A pre-canon Coraline story that focuses on the ghost boy and how he got into the hands of the Beldam. A story of how easily the light in his eyes could fade.
