just watched all 3 trolls movies in a row (a decision i made while high) and i feel like I;m fucking rapidly spiraling into madness rn.Why on gods green Fucking earth did they make one of them kirbopher. i;m so serious why Why did they do this to me. it's branch his name is branch they color his skin exactly the same way i color kirb's, he starts out with dark hair and desaturated colors and a fucking green patched-together outfit and then switches to dark blue hair and light blue skin upon overcoming his traumagenic emotional issues, i fucking .. i??? ????? ? [for context i use she/they interchangeably for gc here. also cw for body horror]

gc is still a projection/extension of SOFDTI here (advanced AI have been recognized as their own species at this point), resulting in her not needing to sleep (or at least not in the way everyone else on the ship does) which means she should be the only one active at night, right? but she keeps seeing something out of the corner of their vision that's bugging her. at first she assumed it might've been alpha having trouble sleeping, but when she tried to look at it directly it... changed. it changed shapes, that is, rapidly and while moving. no one on the ship can do that, at least not to her knowledge.

the night kirb goes missing she sees that same thing again while looking for him, but this time for long enough to fully focus on it: sure enough, it's a shape shifter, but it's maintaining a partially humanoid shape as it skirts around in the dark. tendrils emerge from the back of what looks like a heavily modified human, their body dragging along half-limply as the tendrils do the heavy lifting.

meanwhile, alpha gets stuck in the cockpit trying to fix the ship's navigation system and nothing is working. someone's clearly fucked with it manually, all of their security measures are beyond broken, and whoever they are they managed to cover their bases pretty well since everything alpha tries to interact with becomes corrupted beyond helping.

flamegirl/steph is checking to see if kirb's been abducted somehow, but she hasn't found any signs of a struggle. even worse, she found a journal kirb's been keeping and it's in a nonhuman language she doesn't recognize at all. she'd have the ship decode it for her, but something in it's programming is bugging out every time she asks about it. the longer she tries to solve it, the clearer it is to her that someone's been tampering with the ship for ages now. kirb's been hiding something, clearly.

i could go on but at this point i might need to just... dump it all onto ao3 or something lmao

hi. space explorer au where everyone is a different species/alien of some kind and no one can quite pinpoint what kirb's is. he won't tell anyone, either.

gc starts getting quiet after a night where she swears she saw kirb just standing there silently in the cockpit. without a discernable face.

nye gets nervous after hearing about it and suggests it might have just been a nightmare or trick of the light. the next night kirb goes missing.

alpha puts the ship on autopilot while literally everyone starts searching for him. he's small, he could've gotten lost in a maintenance tunnel or something, right? then the lights go out and the autopilot route starts changing.

Episode 11 and 12 backgrounds/props I did for TOME! Got permission from Kirb to showcase these ones in particular. I had a blast working on all them, especially the Netking rooms. Rubi’s is hands down my favorite of the bunch, though Execk’s is a close second since I did some special effects for both backgrounds. Overall it’s been quite the learning experience being able to work on this series and it’s helped immensely in understanding flash more as well as getting me involved in subtle special effects animation.  PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE OUTSIDE OF THEIR INTENDED PURPOSE, which is directly for use in the show itself. It’s why they’re not posted in high resolution as requested of me and I am sharing them to merely showcase the work I did for the episodes. Please respect the wishes of the show and my art.You’re more then welcome though to use them as references if you intend to say draw these locations.
