I've been playing with a (very unserious) KetBineShin ficlet:

"She bites," Sabine said from the front step. "And maybe don't look her right in the eyes, sometimes she attacks. But can we keep her? I'll work on her training." Ketsu looked past Sabine, to where a forlorn woman with feral eyes stood with a small wriggling creature in her arms. "Bean," she said. "Which one of them are you talking about?"

And of course I've been working hard on my wolfwren Soccer AU so here we have Shin meeting Sabine's foster-mama, from a future chapter:

“And here she is at last,” said Hera herself, with a beaming smile. Wren rushed over, but Hera just pushed past her and came right to Shin. “The best player of her generation,” she said. Shin turned bright red at once, as Hera took both Shin’s hands in hers. “Um…hi,” Shin squeaked out. She should have been furiously embarrassed; but she didn’t pull away. “We’ve really been looking forward to meeting you, Shin,” Hera went on. Shin thought this woman had the warmest eyes of anyone she had ever met. “Best of her generation?!” Wren exclaimed. “I’m standing right here!”
