I can't believe it's been a month since God called you home. I can't stop these tears from falling everytime I think of you. I lost 2 grandfathers within a few months, I'm so angry, depress, and it hurts so bad that I never got the chance to say goodbye.. again. I am grateful to hold on some wonderful memories I have of you when I was younger, I just wish I could've made new memories with you when I had the chance. 😞😢💔 You were always there and now it's hard for me to accept that you're not here anymore. Happy Father's day and Happy Belated Birthday to the best Lolo in the world. His Bday was on June 19th and he just turned the big 8-5!.. 🥳🥳🥳 This man was my hero when I was a little girl. He would always make me laugh when I was sad, he would protect and defend me when I was hurt, and he would show me so much love and patience when I was a pain in the ass teenager. I can't even recall the last time he'd yell at me. My Lolo was always a hard working man. During his retirement, he would always keep himself busy around the house, cleaning, fixing, gardening, etc. Even tho he can't do those things now, he is still the strongest man I've ever known. I love my grandpa so much! I pray and think of him always. Depression clouds my mind and fills me with horrid thoughts about how unlovable and worthless I am. Sometimes I believe you, sometimes I believe depression.

I know you prefer the good days when I’m happy and not anxious or snappy, and I wish I could have these days every day. But I can’t. I feel the cloud approaching and it petrifies me. Sometimes I tell you and sometimes I don’t. Please, if you notice the cloud before I tell you, just hug me tight and tell me we’ll fight it together. Please don’t ask me if I’m OK — my automatic answer will be yes. In reality, it’s a big no. You see, depression can make you feel ashamed.
